not quite, Rose, Gordon, and Gooden are still around (although Gooden has issues with the team and is put on the inactive rotation..)![]()
Odom is the man right now, with Rose and Gordon supporting him, Williams and Fernandez are rising stars and the other guys are just there as expiring contracts so Dennis could properly rebuild the team into a championship contender.

Injury hits the windy city..again
February 4th 2009
In a loss against the Hornets in New Orleans, the already short-handed Bulls has another one of their starters go down with an injury, this time, it's their rising big man Sean Williams.
Williams went down after landing on Hornets Center Tyson Chandler's foot following a rebound midway through the second quarter, he appeared to have twisted his ankle and fell to the floor, he was helped by teammates to the locker room, and did not return for the remainder of the first half, he was diagnosed with a mild ankle sprain and returned early in the 3rd quarter, he isn't expected to miss any time but is listed as day-to-day and will be monitored closely by the Bulls trainer.
On a happier note, Ben Gordon would now be able to return to the lineup, however, his status has only been updated to as day-to-day, and like Sean Williams, he would be monitored closely. The Bulls have been struggling with both Gordon and Rose being out of the lineup, so Gordon's return should make it easier for Lamar Odom and the Bulls.

Nuggets acquires Mike Bibby from Atlanta
February 11th 2009
The Denver Nuggets have announced earlier today that they have acquired guard Mike Bibby from the Atlanta Hawks for forward Kenyon Martin and the Nuggets '09 1st round pick.
Bibby was acquired by the Hawks last season from the Sacramento Kings and was a big part of that team going into the playoffs and pushing the Boston Celtics to game 7 in the first round.
Now in his 11th NBA Season, Bibby has career averages of 16.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 6.1 apg, and 1.3 spg (.439 FG% .374 3P% .804 FT%) in 36.1 mpg over 775 games played. He currently has averages of 16.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 4.7 apg, and 1.5 spg (.445 FG% .415 3P% .793 FT%) in 34.2 mpg over the 52 games he has played so far this season.
Bibby would be a huge boost to a Nuggets team which lost their floor general Chauncey Billups to season ending injury earlier in the season, and will be a big factor in their chase back into the playoffs, the Nuggets (22-31) are currently 11th in the western conference and are 6 games behind the Houston Rockets for the 8th spot in the west.
As a bonus, Bibby's 14.50 million dollar contract is on it's last season, so the Nuggets get a ton of cap space this offseason if they shall release him to FA.
Meanwhile, the Hawks get the one time all star and former first overall pick Kenyon Martin, who has been struggling as of late, averaging only 10.9 ppg and 5.5 rpg in 29.6 mpg this season, he will be playing the sixth man role for the Hawks behind Al Horford, Marvin Williams, and Josh Smith. This trade would make no sense for the Hawks if not for the '09 1st round pick that they are receiving in the end. With the Nuggets being almost out of the playoff picture in the tightly contested western conference, you could say the Hawks are getting a lottery pick at the price of Mike Bibby and a 3 year, 46 million dollar contract in Kenyon Martin.
However, if Bibby is able to help the Nuggets back into the playoffs, the pick would be entirely useless to the Hawks.
"It's a stupid gamble" said one ESPN analysis "If they miss the playoffs, the Hawks would need to get lucky to get a top 5 talent; if the Nuggets make it, this deal would be the most one sided deal since the Gasol trade last season"
