I cant get the rosters to work AT ALL!!!!

Ive tried everything. Could someone please give me idiot proof steps on installing these rosters? Ive used the install file and put them in what I thought was the right place but everytime I go to LOAD/SAVE all I get is an option to get NEW rosters. Could someone please help?!!?? Rosters are a HUGE deal to me. Thanks for all the hard work guys!

Please tell me that this isnt for Playstation or something!! Hell, can you even download rosters for Playstation?

Have you read the instructions in update.txt? You need to specify the correct folder during the installation process.

Yeah, thats why I need idiot proof instructions. Ive put it everywhere. I have a saves folder in My Documents AND a saves folder in the NBA Live folder. I should mention that I have Windows XP as this seems to have caused some problems before. Thanks for the help!

To install the rosters, simply run install.exe.

"IMPORTANT!

You MUST install the patch to the NBA Live 2003 saves and settings folder.


For WINDOWS 98 users, this is C:\My Documents\NBA Live 2003

For WINDOWS XP users, this may be:
Documents and Settings\All Users\NBA Live 2003
or
Documents and Settings\YourUserName\NBA Live 2003

(where YourUserName is your Windows XP Log-On Name)"

When you say "saves and settings" folder do you mean two seperate folders (one being saves and the other being settings) or do you mean one folder being "saves and settings"???

It's referring to folder that contains the settings and saves files.

For Win XP users, this is usually:
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\NBA Live 2003

where UserName is your Windows XP log-on name.

damn, i feel like ive put them there a thousand times. But for the hell of it. I just manually deleted the files in that folder and replaced them with yours. BTW, wassup with the other saves file that I have in the NBA Live folder (EA Sports/NBALIVE/Saves something like that).

Okay, I went into My Documents\NBA Live\Saves and erased that folder and replaced it with the one I downloaded from the website, still no go. Maybe Im not looking in the right place in the game. I go to the LOAD/SAVE menu and all I see is NEW. Whats going on? Are we talking about the same game? My game is NBA Live 2003 for the PC. Sorry I know this seems redundant but Im really perplexed as to why this wont work.

OK, OK, one step at a time.

What operating system are you using?

Im using XP Home upgrade.

OK.

When you are prompted to choose the folder to install the patch to, use the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\NBA Live 2003\saves

Remember to substitute your username for UserName. Let me know if that works.

Okay. Ive been putting it in C:\My Documents\NBA Live 2003\saves, and thats wrong? Putting it in C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\NBA Live 2003\saves makes a difference?

OOPS, my bad, Andrew. I told you I need idiot proof instructions. I got it to work. I just thought that My Documents/NBA Live/Saves was just another way to get to the same folder you were talking about, but clearly I was wrong. Sorry for wasting your time. Thanks alot!!
