Score difference I guess

Playoff seeds would be decided by market share, or alphabetical order.

Come to think of it, I bet they would let the fans vote on who they want to see in the playoffs.

Here's what I found.

In the event that two teams end up tied for the same seed, the following tiebreakers are employed:

1. Head-to-head
2. Division record (if the teams are in the same division)
3. Conference record
4. Record vs. Playoff teams, own conference
5. Record vs. Playoff teams, other conference
6. Net points, all games

So... If we reach until "Net Points"... The Warriors, Indiana and Phoenix are in playoffs

That's right, though it would be truly bizarre if one of the first five tiebreakers didn't resolve the situation.

Isnt Net points the points differential? If so, the Warriors defence is going to keep them out in such an odd situation.

Another question, (inspired by a great Derrick Rose performance in my 2k association) what is the highest number of assists that a player has dished out, while still scoring 50 points in a game?

(For those of you wondering, Rose had 50 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals in a 136-105 win over the Grizzlies. Rudy Gay scored 42)

From memory, when Parker scored 55 and had 10 assists earlier this year, he was only the third player to reach double figures in assists while scoring 50 or more points with Oscar Robertson and Michael Jordan being the first two. My guess is that either Jordan or Robertson hold or share the record for the most assists along with 50 points, or they all share the record with ten.

In response to Andrew's reply of MJ scoring 50+ points and dishing out 10 assists (1992 against the Washington Bullets):

If the Knicks and Stephon Marbury don't get along and other teams want him, why dont the Knicks release them and let some other team take his contract.

Great video, thanks for posting. I've actually got that whole game on tape.

Because the other team wouldn't be taking on his $20+ million contract, they'd be signing him the veteran's minimum. As such, the Knicks would be paying him the full amount of his huge deal for him to play somewhere else and they understandably want to avoid that, so they're trying to come to terms on a buyout which will release him from his obligations to the Knicks in exchange for forfeiting some of the money remaining on the deal.

Which NBA team has made the most trades in one year (so that could be from the next day of the 2009 Trade deadline to the 2010 trade deadline) and how many trades did they make?

No idea offhand but the Mavericks were pretty busy and made a few multiplayer deals (including a nine player trade which I believe was a record at the time) during the course of the 1996/1997 season.

Were the raptors allowed to sign Delfino and Garbo in the offseason of 2008 if both of them had interest in playing in Canada and even if the raptors were over the cap?

So long as both were willing to play for the money Toronto could have offered them given the restrictions placed on teams that are over the cap, then yes, they could have.

The most random question ever... Back then. Why is the Philly Chicken always the mascot for the 76ers, Phillies, and Flyers?

Wilt Chamberlain not surprisingly holds that record with 35. He also holds the record for most field goals in a single game without a miss (18/18).

Then LeBron goes and does it too. And grabs ten rebounds for good measure.

Yep, and the first player since Kareem to get a triple double in the same game he scores 50+.

Do any NBA arenas also play home to NCAA teams? I don't follow the NCAA really, but I've seen NCAA games where they played at MSG and the 76ers' arena (the Wachovia Center), though I don't know if that was just for some division/conference tournament.

SuperSonics use to share with Gonzaga at the Emerald at times.

I posted that shortly after the game, before one of his rebounds was taken away. ;)
