Thereąre about 1k players to check. Believe me it doesn't take long with FlyingFinn's new editor, big thanx FF (Y)

It takes about 15 to 20 mins to check 100 players, unfortunately do to lack of time I won't be able to do it faster.Patience...

HERE"S HOW YOU LOOK FOR HIDDEN PLAYERS
Here is how I manage to find hidden player who have their own IFF file (portrait and c-face):
FIRST OF ALL BIG THAX goes to FlyingFinn for the editor.
Here is how you do it:
1. Open FlyingFinn Editor
2. Open you nba 2k game folder (with all the IFF files)
3. Find the first png001.IFF (the very first png.iff)
4. Now go to the editor again and press twice on any of the players (don't choose a CAP,choose normal nba player)
5. You see the player's ID (Photo,PBP,and ???). Change the player's ID where it says PHOTO to 1 (=png001.iff)
6. Now you press "Browse"

button where you have PHOTO(in the editor) and you'll see a table like this pop up:

7. This mean that the png001.IFF file has no corresponding nba player in the roster file, that means that the player is hidden. In other words
player's IFF is in your folder but he is not present in you roster.
Now if you wnat to see who is there in that png001.iff, you simply change the ID of any player you want to 1 (with FlyingFinn editor), save and launch the game. For example, I take SAMUEL DELAMPERT, open his info and change his ID from 826 to 1. I press OK, then SAVE. Then simply go to tha game load the roster file you have just edited and check, in this case, SAMUEL DELAMPERT. You will see a new player, a hidden one.

NOTE, you check only these IDs, which are in your nba folder.
For example if in step 5 you'll change player's ID to 2 (=png002.iff), you will see that there is no such IFF file in you nba directory, which means, that there won't be a player with a headshape, there could be only his portrait (usually these are legends).
So check only THE IFFs which are in you game folder, that is why you have to keep your game folder opened. Unless you're curious, who are these players without iffs.

I HOPE THIS WILL HELP, and TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE THE LIST OF HIDDEN PLAYERS.

It is Q-Tip, I knew the face looked familiar. He was in 2k8 or 2k7 as a celebrity. Also noticed that The Professor from And 1 is in the game.

cbooz, unfortunately you are wrong XD. I am 200% certain that's Q.Woods in that picture, I have watched his videos even back in his college days . He was selected by portland in 21st overall in 2002, I remember that exactly the same pic on the web back then when he was drafted, 2k just cut his cornrow in the portrait above.

do they have only portraits, or are faces also present in .iff format? those ID's would be very interesting discovery, thinking that those ID's could correspond with play-by-play speech ID files, which MIGHT be ingame as well, but that is to be known, if somebody takes it up.

All those hidden players are from 2k8,2k7 .... You can see the non match with colour skin.....like in picture where is navaro....Light skin from 2k8 and 2k7 are much brighter than those in 2k9 here is the exemple i find....

You can see the diference......On the first picture you can see the brightest skin colour in 2k9, and in second picture you can see the brightest skin in 2k8....And we now know that all hiden faces are from 2k8 and 2k7 series....So we i guess know the LIST of hidden players....all players who appear in 2k8,2k7 and they arent in 2k9 they are hidden.....So i will make a list of that players....and we just need to find id for them.....

UltraNIX, they have IFFs, which means that they hae portraits and faces. These are normal players like any other nba player, the only thing is that they are hidden.

kocic, changing his leg color using flyingfinn's rostor editor will do, alternatively u can change it in edit player screen as well.

The thing that matters is not whether they're hidden, I think we should be asking ourselves if it is possible to replace all non used players iff's with the current players that haven't got a Cyberface/Portrait. Furthermore, it could be awesome to replace the iff's with the rookies from the 2009 draft, and after, via the outside editors (Finn's or Hades), edit them (names, info, etc...), and assign them their respective iff.

You can't change leg texture in edit player. Either hexedit or editor. I prefer hexedit.

Listen....I made Oscar Pechenko to Nenad Krstic by Hades roster editor and i had a problem with his leg texture becouse he has black legs and i didnt find any leg texture in his iff. file but i manage to solve that...i open again Hades Editor and i find Pechenko edited to Krstic and i give him a number 5 in column where goes number 4 or 5...for is for non create players and 5is for create players....an when i change that and go in game i can edit his Skin....And name to,and much more,like shape of head and as a base is headshape default of Nenad Krstic....

here is the screenshoot of that

So if we update that list of numbers from 4 to 5 to all players with hades roster ed. we will be able to Manage headshape without anyprograms....

kocic, You are partially correct, but I don't think tweaking headshape ("like shape of head and as a base is headshape default of Nenad Krstic") in the edit player screen after applying the iff will have any actual effect, you can try it, only eyeball color change can still be applied if i remember correctly

That is the way it should be, simply open the IFF file and import the HANDS (the color you want).
