The shadows are too dark around the eyes and eyebrows. Also, the eyebrows need some work.

Notice he has arched eyebrows, and they aren't very thick as the dissipate out towards the temple. He has asian-like eyes that are tight. So make them a little less wide, and close them a little more. ACtually, if you fix the eyebrows, you may not need to touch the eyes at all.

I see... i tried to open the other links you posted pat but only the 1st link loaded for me from some reason along with the pic that was direct linked (the gettyimages were the once that didn't open), i must say that you might have unintentionally ruled out that 2k9 has moving facial expressions and if you were to base the expression that my mj has in my ingame pic of him to the once you posted, adding the fact that the 2 mj's that i could see were the slightly older version of him with thinning eyebrows and somewhat a smiling-slightly-startled-because-of-the-camera-flash-look then it really wouldn't match...

try it more with with the pics i slightly based my mj from below which has the younger more focused expression with no flash hitting his face so you could see the shadows around the eyes better...

I don't know about those 2k9 expressions since he look similar in most of them. I still thinkt he eybrows can be improved, whether or not the shadows are lightened.

I hear you about the editing thing Glen. There was work done over at Madden Fanatics forum about creating a patch etc. and modding tools for PC Madden 08. For a while there the only way to mod the game was via textmod , hopefully the great guys here will get something happening.

thanks for the input M1GHTY M4VS, i actually tried that before but the transition of his skin to his lips didn't look too good when detailed... it looked pasted on for some reason...

that's still an older version of MJ pat (already in Washington). look at his eyebrows here Image
i'll seriously try to consider what you suggested once i resume work on him again though, so no worries...

long time no talk man, any chance of bringing your classic teams in 2k9? it badly needs it... :)

and about the pics you posted of mj, all i can say is even on encounters with white chicks... kobe still has nothing on mj, 2 to 1...

alright pending posts have been answered, which now leads me to...

TOASTY!

the rebounding demon...

more info, a much larger pic, and another hair color variant can be found HERE

because this is just an existing player update unlike my MJ, i'll try to push the release in a couple of days...

i hear ya M1GHTY M4VS... i'm aware of those damn "crazy eyes" they gave dennis but unfortunately there's no way that i know of that can currently correct it, it's definitely more than just a texture problem that's for sure...

thanks tnt23... about a missing legends pack for 2k9, i'm not totally shutting off the possibility of it, but current limitations on modding the game is somewhat the dealbreaker for me... in a couple of months though, when a fully functional roster or headshape editors are made then maybe my stance on the matter will change... about the legends already ingame that needs updating, i can do some since they are merely texture updates... i'll look into some of them including the ones you mentioned and see what i can do...

W8ing for the release (Y) .

thanks NAREKjAN, i believe the default 2k9 rodman already has the yellow hair on him... i personally chose not make it anymore since the yellow color doesn't stand out much ingame (it seems like he's just bald at times when far away so i chose more striking colors which were red and green instead)...

BAYAG wrote:nice work amigo..

thanks amigo...

alright since an IFF editor recently just surfaced i can now release dennis... very big thanks to "Santa" for not giving me coal this year but an IFF editor instead... (Y)

Image

that's the best i can make out of rodman without the luxury of hi-res pics, a 1024x1024 bhed on a retro player is like water and vinegar...

you can get him HERE

enjoy guys...

Uh, disregard my pm because I already figured it out. What I don't get is how you remove the shine that goes with the head? Because I did what you did with rodman, the only difference is the hair's too shiny. (I'm using your hair but I'm not planning to release it or anything, is it ok?)
