[Max Realism Act] MRA version 090428 released!!!

Tue Apr 21, 2009 6:21 pm

Max Realism Act for 2k9!

It's been quite a while guys! It looks like Kris, Albys and other guys are working on 2k9 too...good to hear.
Well, as for my wk patches, this is what I propose: a roster and slider to improve gameplay! Just like the old MRA for the Live!
Use my patch if and only if you feel the need for gameplay improvements and apply realistic basketball strategy. I have applied my knowledge from being a highshool coach as much as I can...

Also, this roster will be updated every week...just like 2k and EA...but with my settings and edits...not to "fit" in stats but to experience realistic basketball.
Real ballers welcomed.
I will be updating every Tuesday on my blog!
Please visit

http://www.nba-2k.blogspot.com

to download latest rosters and to leave comments about it!
and BTW, please don't provide alternative links for the file, just link my blog address. As I will be doing this regularly, I would at least like to run my own blog for it...and keep it intimate...

From the blog

Why MRA?
Well, for those who remember, I use to work on MRA for NBA Live series. Live was full of bugs and gamplay flaws which drove many of the patchers crazy. When 2k9 came out for PC, I was so impressed by its graphics but not by its gameplay. A game that was flawed by a poor roster involvement. I personally liked Albys RR for its accurate stats simulation yet none of the custom rosters were able to deliver the gameplay I wanted. So, after numerous tries and experiments, I have come up with a new set of Rosters and sliders to improve gameplay.

Features
o Updated roster as of April 28, 2009
o Updated signature shots for some players
o Updated accessoroes for some players
o New Improved team tactics.
o Improved ball distribution and game operation
o Reduced gameplay flaws
o Readjusted game pace and animation speeds
o better and rational defense
o realistic passing
o realistic game speed.

jjejj87 if you are to release a roster or slider every tuesday, you may want also to find a way to update the roster on the association. just a suggestion :D

gameplay is good enough but sim association stats are completely irrealistic. also i noticed that you lower "shoot in traffic" sliders to 50 for all players? could you explain to me why? there's so much work to do mate but appreciate your efforts.

I tried these sliders, but apparently they don't work for me.
First, it's too easy to shoot fade-away jumpshots. When I played for Raptors against Magic, I hit like 9 from 10 fadeaways with Bosh. Other players were also unstoppable, it looked like defense didn't exist. I hit pretty much every jumpshot and I shot 85% at the end of the first half. In the meantime, CPU had hard time finding the basket and they shot just under 40% at the end of the first half. I also didn't like the number of steals and assists. Me and CPU got about 24 assists and 14 steals at first half. Also, PitP problem still exists because CPU just can't hit mid-long range jumpshots. I think it's not possible to fix this game's main problems.

i dont agree, i played one game with bulls against milwaukee and and chicago made almost every point in the paint, where cpu milwaukee made lot of mid range jumpers and threes

Thanks guys for your response!

Thank you silvvei for you support...makes me feel welcomed... :P

As for those who are experiencing weird gameplay...see if you are using all the stuff that are provided with the package...
this is vital because the roster was modified not like before~

Also, please check your version...it should be 1.1

Please post your questions on the blog next time!
