The new look Knicks led by Amaré Stoudamire strolled in to the Target Center and defeated the rebuilding Minnesota Timberwolves 73 to 63 in a low scoring game to open up their 2010-11 campaign .
Amaré Stoudamire as expected was a force in the game scoring 28 points and contributed just as well on the defensive end with 10 defensive rebounds and 3 blocks. He shot 14-20 from the field. Stoudamire recently signed a 5-year contract with the Knicks and is seen as the face of their rebuilding efforts.
For the Knicks, Wilson Chandler had 12 points, Raymond Felton had 11 to go with 5 assists and 2 steals and "The Meal Ticket" Anthony Randolph had 9 points to go with 4 blocks. For Minnesota however the high point man was Kevin Love who had 17 points to go with 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Wes Johnson, Corey Brewer and Jonny Flynn all had poor nights scoring 10, 10, 9 respectively off horrendous shooting. The Knicks shot 49% from the field as compared to the Timberwolves 41%.

The Knicks destroyed the visiting Los Angeles Clippers led by Baron Davis and rookie Blake Griffin by a humiliating 29 points. The Knicks gained their 2nd win of the season in the 94-65 victory.
Anthony Randolph whom was acquired along with Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike in the David Lee trade had a phenomenal performance tonight with 24 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal on 11-16 shooting. The 14th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft was slamming down dunks left, right and center leaving the Clippers defense ashamed and humiliated.
Amar'e Stoudamire also had a game to remember with his second double-double of the season. Amar'e had 23 points to go with 10 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. Coach D'Antoni stated after the game that he likes the way that Randolph and Stoudemire play with one another as both players are vicious rebounder's with tremendous athletic ability.
For the Knicks, Ronny Turiaf had 12 points off the bench, Danilo Gallinari, Kelenna Azubuike and Raymond Felton each had 8 points. Felton however also racked up 9 assists and 3 steals. For the Clippers, Chris Kaman and Eric Gordon both had 16 points, Eric Gordon however went 1-10 from downtown which was a major reason that the Knicks got out to a big lead in the 2nd quarter. Baron Davis and Blake Griffin whom were both seen to be the best offensive weapons on the Clippers had 2 and 6 points respectively.
The New York Knicks next face the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center in Houston.![]()
