October 17, 10:04am - Darlinghurst, Sydney

"Babe, where's my keys?" says the latest inductee to the NBL Hall of Fame, Antonio Alianos Caldéron.

"They're on the couch, where are you off to?" says his wife.

"Meeting. The Kings board wants me to come with them to approve a new sponsor, Bing Lee I think? They sponsor Sydney FC too" he replied.

[Ring.. ring.. ring]

Antonio picks up his phone. He looks at the phone to see an international call, curious he answers with an intrigued tone. "Hello?"

"Hi, Antonio Alianos Caldéron, right?" says the man, who's speaking with an American accent.

"Correct you are" says Antonio

"Do you mind if I call you Antonio? Your name is quite a mouthful. Haha. Well, I'm a man who gets straight down to business, my name is Donnie Walsh. I'm the General Manager of the New York Knicks." says the man who has now been identified to be Donnie Walsh of the New York Knicks.

"Oh wow, really? I'm a huge fan, I was so entranced with what you did with the Pacers, drafting Reggie Miller, taking them to the playoffs, just everything you did. You're career is everything I want! Sorry I just can't believe that I'm actually speaking to you! So, Mr. Walsh, to what do I owe the pleasure?" replies a now enthusiastic Antonio.

"Haha, it's good to hear that players aren't the only ones with fans! Well, Antonio. I've seen what you've done with the Kings in Australia. To lead them to 3 championships with your managerial abilities is quite a feat, and under 30, that's amazing. As you probably already know, the Vice-President of the Knicks has been fired over a mishap with other management. We think it's time to shake things up, just like we shook up the team the past 2 years. What do you say Antonio, would you want to be the Vice-President of the Knicks?' says Donnie Walsh

"..."

"And if that's not incentive enough for you, once I retire from my position, you'll assume the head position as President of Basketball Operations for the Knicks. Is that a good deal for you Antonio?"

"Sir, that is a deal I cannot refuse. I'll take it!" says Antonio who is now grinning like a child on Christmas.

"That's good to hear. I was hoping I could have you on the next flight to New York? I'll have a limousine come and pick you up."

"I'll get there by boat if I have to! Thank you Mr. Walsh! I won't let you down. I'll be there as fast as I can!" says Antonio

"That's great, see you soon!" says Walsh as he hangs up the phone.

_____

"What's all the commotion in here about love?' says Antonio's wife who has just entered the room at the sound of cheers from her husband.

"Babe! We're going to New York! I just got offered the job as Vice-President of the New York Knicks! says Antonio

"Oh my god! That's so amazing honey!"

"I just have to go to the meeting today and tell them that I have to resign. I'm being signed by the Knicks they're going to have to understand. I cannot believe it! There's nothing I've wanted more than a shot in the NBA!" says Antonio who hugs his wife as he looks out of the window of his beautiful Darlinghurst mansion.

"Goodbye Sydney. Hello, New York!"

Target Center - Minneapolis, Minnesota | November 3, 2010

The new look Knicks led by Amaré Stoudamire strolled in to the Target Center and defeated the rebuilding Minnesota Timberwolves 73 to 63 in a low scoring game to open up their 2010-11 campaign .

Amaré Stoudamire as expected was a force in the game scoring 28 points and contributed just as well on the defensive end with 10 defensive rebounds and 3 blocks. He shot 14-20 from the field. Stoudamire recently signed a 5-year contract with the Knicks and is seen as the face of their rebuilding efforts.

For the Knicks, Wilson Chandler had 12 points, Raymond Felton had 11 to go with 5 assists and 2 steals and "The Meal Ticket" Anthony Randolph had 9 points to go with 4 blocks. For Minnesota however the high point man was Kevin Love who had 17 points to go with 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Wes Johnson, Corey Brewer and Jonny Flynn all had poor nights scoring 10, 10, 9 respectively off horrendous shooting. The Knicks shot 49% from the field as compared to the Timberwolves 41%.

The New York Knicks are next facing the Los Angeles Clippers led by Baron Davis and rookie Blake Griffin at Madison Square Garden.

Madison Square Garden - Manhattan, New York | November 12, 2010

The Knicks destroyed the visiting Los Angeles Clippers led by Baron Davis and rookie Blake Griffin by a humiliating 29 points. The Knicks gained their 2nd win of the season in the 94-65 victory.

Anthony Randolph whom was acquired along with Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike in the David Lee trade had a phenomenal performance tonight with 24 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal on 11-16 shooting. The 14th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft was slamming down dunks left, right and center leaving the Clippers defense ashamed and humiliated.

Amar'e Stoudamire also had a game to remember with his second double-double of the season. Amar'e had 23 points to go with 10 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. Coach D'Antoni stated after the game that he likes the way that Randolph and Stoudemire play with one another as both players are vicious rebounder's with tremendous athletic ability.

For the Knicks, Ronny Turiaf had 12 points off the bench, Danilo Gallinari, Kelenna Azubuike and Raymond Felton each had 8 points. Felton however also racked up 9 assists and 3 steals. For the Clippers, Chris Kaman and Eric Gordon both had 16 points, Eric Gordon however went 1-10 from downtown which was a major reason that the Knicks got out to a big lead in the 2nd quarter. Baron Davis and Blake Griffin whom were both seen to be the best offensive weapons on the Clippers had 2 and 6 points respectively.

The New York Knicks next face the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center in Houston.

Alston was pretty solid off the bench, and I love him in NY.. just the fact that he has so much history there.

Anyway, once I get 4 more draftees, I'll start the contest so that the draftees can begin to earn points :D
