Someone needs to tell DeMar DeRozan that he can miss. In this game, he couldn't miss, at all. He went an unbelievable 10-10 from the field for 21 points, and had 10 rebounds to earn himself a double-double. Andrea Bargnani also had a great game, going 9-10 with 27 points. The duo has been Toronto's deadly attack.

For the Cavs however, this game was hell from the start. The only bright spot was Antawn Jamison who had 19 points and 9 rebounds. Daniel Gibson actually had 19 points...... but it took him 32 shot attempts to get there, 23 of those shot attempts were 3 point attempts. Read More....

31 32 26 29 118
32 21 26 31 110

The Raptors first game away from the ACC was a success, beating the Kings 118-110. They had a great game all-around, including one from Sonny Weems who had 17 points in the second half, ending up with 19. Andra Bargnani had 23 points and 8 rebounds, which is surprising for his rebounding stat. DeMar DeRozan and Jerryd Bayless both had 11 assists, which mean DeRozan had his second straight double-double. Linas Kleiza finally had his breakout game, going for 15 points and 7 rebounds off the bench.

The Kings had a huge game from Tyreke 'Reke' Evans, in which he had 29 points. The attention Evans got allowed Beno Udrih to have open shots, in a game where he had 21 points, a season high. Jason Thompson had a strong game, going for 15 points and 13 rebounds. Carl Landry was quiet and had 13 points to go along with his 8 rebounds. Read More....

What a game (not really). When Andrea Bargnani scores only 13, and you guys still win, that shows that the other team sucks. DeMar DeRozan and another great game, with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Sonny Weems, the second half scoring king, had 14 of his 18 points in the second half. Linas Kleiza and Jerryd Bayless both had 14 points, with Bayless dishing out 13 assists. New signing Chris Hunter shocked the Jazz with scoring 10 points.

Yeah, 4 people scored 20 points or more for the Jazz. Deron Williams led the charge, scoring 25 points and dishing out 9 assists. Al 'Big Ass' Jefferson followed Williams' lead and scored 23 points, and grabbing 14 rebounds. CJ Miles and Paul Millsap each had 20 points. The rest of the team was below double figures (the next highest scorer was Gordon Hawyard who had 6 points) Read More....

What has happened to the Heat?
Image

The Heat were supposed to win 72 games. They were supposed to top the 95-96 Bulls' record.

That won't happen anytime soon.

The Miami Heat are 1-4 entering their next game against the Hornets. Let's see how their season started.

Game 1: @ Boston (100-103) The way this game ended was amazing. The Heat blew an 11 point lead, only to shutdown the Celtics in the 3rd. In the 4th however, Paul Pierce nailed a three from the corner with .3 seconds left to lift Boston over the Heat.
Big Three: 64 Points The Other 12: 46 Points

Game 2: @ Philadelphia (86-93) The Heat were obviously devastated with the loss they just had, and were totally off their game. They were outscored by 9 in the 4th quarter, only scoring 14 points.
Big Three: 51 Points The Other 12: 35 points

Game 3: vs Orlando (101-100) Jason Richardson provided the dagger over Dwayne Wade, to provide the Magic with the win. Their comeback was cut short.
Big Three: 69 Points The Other 12: 31 Points

Game 4: @ New Jersey (91-100) Critics talked about the Heat's weak frontline, and Kris Humphries exploited that, scoring 21 points as the Nets pulled the upset.
Big Three: 58 Points The Other 12: 33 Points

Game 5: vs Minnesota (91-131) An absolute blowout. The Heat preformed to their best on this game. LeBron had 49, D-Wade had 26, and CB1 had 21.
The Big Three: 96 The Other 12: 35 Points

So can the Heat turn it around?

Sort of surprised by a simulation I did with Goodson. I did the sim with Team Great Britain (aka 6 players from UK and 6 bench warmers) against Team USA. Let's say Goodson had only 6 points and 3 assists...

Well I have decided to do the articles after the game recaps so...

Martin to Teammate: "Fuck Off"

According to multiple sources, Julian Martin is getting sick of Valdis Iesalnieks after he grabbed a rebound straight from his hands so he could have 10 rebounds.

"What desperate asshole does that?" said Martin to a group of reporters.

Cruise and Earnest still rolling in Non-Conference play

The Duke Blue Devils are still rolling and are off to a 6-0 start and have dominated all of their opponents, including Army University. Stellar play form Carl Cruise helped the Blue Devils win 100-69, with 25 points. Slamdunk Earnest was injured in the game before, and did not play.

George Koukoulis upset with Olympiacos

Young swingman George Koukoulis of Olympiacos is upset with the management's reluctance to re-negotiate his contract. He wants to have an opt out clause this year, where he will enter the 2011 NBA Draft. But presidents Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos have said that they don't want to include an opt out clause.

"My dream is to play in the NBA, and I plan on sticking with that dream, no matter what." said Koukoulis to a group of reporters.

Koukoulis is currently in a 3 year 25.10 million dollar contract.

His agent also released a statement saying, "We don't want George's NBA team to have the hassle of buying out his contract, so an opt out clause would make both sides very happy."

Otoo an All-American?

Zee Otoo has recently been on fire. Averaging 26 points and 7 rebonds, he is 5th in the nation 6 games in. The Wolfpack (6-0) are dominating as well, beating an upset minded Coastal Carolina team 65-47.

A special matchup using College Hoops 2k8: The Iowa Hawkeyes will square off on the road against the Florida Gators.

Migs Santos vs Mike Perchard. Post your predictions now!(5 Points)

The Iowa Hawkeyes marched into Florida and dominated the #4 team in the country 89-82.

In what is being called an amazing upset by many critics, the Hawkeyes weren't surprised. They wondered why they weren't the favorites.

"You see, Florida played Florida A & M and all those crappy teams. We've played a strong team like LSU, and an even stronger team in Old Dominion." said Eric Mays, who had 23 points in their only loss of the season to ODU.

But the Hawkeyes came out steaming, being up 49-44 at halftime, and looking to blow Florida out. The Hawkeyes ended the half on a 7-0 run, mostly on fast breaks caused by missed putbacks by Chandler Parsons. A huge scare happened in the second half though. Mike Perchard who was injured in their last game against Eastern Washington (right ankle sprain) reinjured his Ankle. He continued to play through it, scoring 11 points on 4 for 18 shooting. "I was struggling, and the ankle was a huge part of it." said Perchard after the game. Parsons had 23 points and 8 rebounds, while Erving Walker hit key three pointers to keep the game close. He had 12 points and 8 assists.

Meanwhile for the Hawks, they shut down the Florida offense in the second half, allowing only 38 points. An unbelievable game by Eric Mays. He had 20 points off the bench, and shut down Parsons.

"Parsons was horrible. I don't know why they didn't give the ball to 22 [Mike Perchard]. He isn't as crappy as Parsons."

Matt Gatens was great as well, scoring 21 points and pestering the Gators often.

The real story however was Migs Santos. He had a great night as the starting Center (Hawkeyes were shorthanded due to 1 game suspensions), scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Santos was recently upset with his lack of playing time, but took it back.

"Coach showed that he has faith in me."

Perchard struggled, scoring only 11 points, 2 after injury.

The Raptors marched into Los Angeles, ready to give it their all and attempt to go for the early season upset.

They ended up getting ejected.

The LA Lakers overpowered the weaker Toronto Raptors 131-116.

"Just an amazing game by all of us," said Lamar Odom, who had a great 24 points and 14 rebounds. "Kobe looked like his vintage self, D-Fish dominated the youngster, and Ron just blew up scoring wise."

The Lakers went off to a fast start, scoring 36 points to the Raptors 20. But the Raptors came roaring back, scoring 36 points in the 2nd.

"We're a run and gun team. We push it, even on makes." said swingman DeMar DeRozan who had 15 points and 9 assists.

It was a blowout from the start, but the Raptors cut the lead to 10 in the 3rd, but couldn't get closer. However, the night will be remembered for what happened with 47 seconds left in the game.

Kobe Bryant ran the fastbreak, which itself is controversial. He took it at Joey Dorsey, slamming right into his sternum.

Julian Wright then went up to Kobe and shoved him to the ground. Fiery small forward Ron Artest came after Wright and Artest threw a punch at Wright. Wright dodged the punch and then tackled Artest to the ground. Chris Hunter tried breaking them up, but was shoved by Andrew Bynum.Hunter did not retaliate and kept on trying to help up the injured Dorsey. The fight was broken up a minute later, with Artest, Wright, and Bynum all ejected.

"Pathetic," said new GM Willie Lewis. "I wonder how Kobe is. Trying to run up the score. I have lost all respect for him. I hope the league suspends this dirty player."

Dorsey can still play but will play Limited Minutes. He has a bruised sternum and will be injured for a week. "He'll probably play 3-4 minutes." said Coach Jay Traino. Dorsey was averaging 3.3 points per game.

"Screw the Lakers. I hate them." said Wright
