Wait until week 2 when you guys have to face them. Just didn't make sense for him to stay now that he has the boost. He has two rings, in my mind all he would want is his chance to start or even be the star of a team. He can share that spotlight with Tyreke Evans.

The Lakers are the only team he'd fit on. He and Jax are like father and son. Makes a lot of sense to stay!

The Washington Wizards have signed SG Gerald Green for two years at a total salary of $14.10 million. Green is a walking highlight reel, but is his play really worth $7.05 million a season? The Wizards were hurting at the Shooting Guard position and had money to spend, but I think they dug a little deep with Green. This will be the first starting job Green has had and we will see how long he can manage to keep it.

I say two weeks. $7m a season for Gerald Green. Just nuts :shake:

Considering he got the boost he is worth that much I guess, that's what the game gave him. I lowered the price as much as possible...it's alright though because once he start playing I'm sure he will be worth that much. We will find out when the play the Magic

Game Summary
This promised to be a good game on paper. Considering it was the first game of the season, Portland had all their players healthy and you fans would be happy to know that no one was injured on the Blazers this game. The Suns had their new players on the court for the season opener. Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus, and Marcin Gortat joined the team during the off season in a trade with the Orlando Magic. Carter and Gortat both found themselves in the starting lineup for Phoenix. One of the slowest paced teams in the Blazers were going to clash with one of the fastest paced teams in the Suns. The game started off great, but the Suns fielded a great comeback in order to come out on top over the Blazers. Steve Nash, Grant Hill, and Carter we unstoppable as they combined for 66 of the Suns' 86 points. It was a great defensive game and it was interesting to see the teams' styles of play clash. After the game Phoenix coach Alvin Gentry stated, "It was great to see my guys out there playing defense. Everyone has always criticized out defense, but they went out there and shut the critics up. I think the addition of those guys from Orlando really helped bring some defense to Phoenix." Josh Childress rolled his ankle, but fortunately for the Suns he was only diagnosed with a twisted ankle. The injury is day to day and is playable.

Game Summary
Many believe these are the two top teams in the Eastern Conference. Coming into this game, I personally had the Celtics as the number one team in the East while I had the Heat as the number two team. This promised to be a great battle of two great teams. The Celtics improved over the off-season bringing in Shaquille O'Neal and Jermaine O'Neal. As everyone in the world know, Miami was able to bring in not only Chris Bosh, but LeBron James too. Right from the get go, the Heat were out to prove that they are the NBA's elite. They had an eleven point lead at the end of the first quarter. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce were no where to be found the entire game and Rajon Rondo showed his youth with his erratic play. The Celtics seemed overwhelmed by the Heat's speed, but Kevin Garnett and Shaq started to step it up and by the end of the third quarter they had gotten the Celtics back within two points. Even with Rondo, Pierce, and Allen struggling bad, the Celtics still found themselves with a chance to win the game. Shaq and KG were playing lights out and no one could stop them down low. The crowd was into it and the Celtics had all the momentum. The Head started out with the ball in the fourth quarter and Mario Chalmers passed the ball to Bosh. Bosh was streaking towards the hoop, but KG went up for a huge block. KG missed the ball and his wrist connected with Bosh's forearm for the foul. KG seemed to be in a lot of pain and was taken out of the game. The Celtics could only keep up as KG sat out the remainder of the game and they eventually lost the game to the new and much improved Miami Heat.

After the game the Celtics recieved news that they would have to play without KG anywhere from four to six weeks. That's right, KG broke his wrist and now the Celtics will have to depend on the bench big men to step up. With Glenn Davis, Jermaine O'Neal, and Kendrick Perkins on the bench many would think that this doesn't pose a huge issue. Rumors have been confirmed though, and Perkins is very open about wanting out of Boston. With Perkins wanting out and KG out for over a month, the Celtics go from top of the food chain to a team with a lot of questions. The regular season blues have already started for the Boston Celtics.

Game Summary
The Lakers came into this game hoping to show people that they are the favorites to three peat this year. Everyone knows the Rockets are a scary team, but only when fully healthy. Lucky for them the season just started and they have everyone ready to play. The Rockets led the entire first half and at halftime they maintained there lead with a 38-33 lead over Los Angeles. It was an amazing defensive battle and no one could put anything together consistently. The biggest issue was Kobe Bryant and his horrible shooting for the game. The Lakers who are usually are great rebounding team were getting man handled on the boards. The man causing all the problems was Luis Scola who had 15 rebounds including 8 offensive rebounds on the game. Every time he came down with a rebound, it seemed as though he was going back up and getting two points. At the end of the third quarter the Lakers had managed to tie the game up. The fans were ready to see a great fourth quarter and ending to what was already a great game. Instead the Lakers came out too fast and strong for the Rockets. Even though Kevin Martin scored 10 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, it wasn't enough to stop the Lakers. The Lakers ran away with the game and beat the Rockets by eleven. The Rockets just need to remind Aaron Brooks that he is a point guard and that he doesn't have to throw it up every time he touches the ball. Here is my stat of the night, Brooks had 6 assists, 3 turnovers, and 19 shot attempt. Martin made this statement after the game, "You can't give the best team in the league those kind of chances. We had them where we wanted them, but we didn't have the urgency that they had. We had a great three quarters, but I think I speak for all the guys when I say the fourth quarter was embarrassing."

Player of the Game - Pau Gasol

Some Notes for you guys
-I'm still trying to configure the sliders so hopefully that will be fixed in the next couple days.
-There will be pictures as soon as I figure out how, I think it should work from now on because I linked my accounts, we will see.
-I am playing 8 minute quarters, but I'm thinking about moving up to 9 minutes for high scores and stats.

Looking really neat man. Just wondering, how are you gonna do on those days when they play like 12 games? I reckon the best 3 games of the day? I tried to recap all 1000 games once :shake:

Losing KG is huge for them. Good thing they haven't traded Perkins yet.

I tried nine quarters and got pretty good scores. Ten might be next, we will see. And 12 is the sim quarters I have.

I'm only playing games that look like good games. Most likely two or three games a day with every now and then one game a day. Right now I'm on a four day weekend, but as you noticed during the week I don't update as much because of the busy ass Army. We'll see how everything pans out.

Game Summary
Both the Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder are two young and upcoming teams in the NBA. The Chicago Bulls look ready to get the season started with newly aquired veteran power forward Carlos Boozer. Oklahoma City brings back the same core of players that just keep improving as each season passes by. This game started off in close fashion, as the Bulls had the early lead. Once the second quarter started though, the Thunder ran right by the Bulls outscoring them by ten in the second quarter. The only player for the Thunder that couldn’t find his groove was James Harden, who only had five points in the first half.

Once the second half started though, James Harden exploded onto the scene. Harden scored twenty-seven points in the second half giving him a career high total of thirty-two points in the second half. The Bulls slowly chipped at the Thunder’s double digit lead and with less than three minutes left in the game they took the lead from the Thunder. That’s when Kevin Durant and Harden really took flight and ran with it. Durant found himself with the ball and only 35.6 seconds left on the clock and the Thunder had a two point lead. Durant let the clock run down until there was less than fifteen seconds left on the clock. Durant proceeded to back down Luol Deng and then he hit the fade away out of the post and hit the shot to ice the game. Coach Scott Brooks after the game was very proud of his team and shared his thoughts with the press, “These guys showed the league a lot in this first game of the season. They came out and won a tough fought battle against a great team. I think James (Harden) having such a great game tonight shows that we don’t need Kevin (Durant) to shoulder the whole load. We have a bunch of playmakers on this team.”

There were a lot of positives for the Thunder tonight, but they did lose a premier bench player in their win. Thabo Sefolosha had nine points in seven minutes off the bench, but when he went up for a rebound he came down on his ankle at a weird angle. Sefolosha suffered a severe ankle sprain and is expected to miss up to four weeks. The Thunder will be looking at former Miami Heat shooting guard Daequan Cook to fill Sefolosha’s shoes while he is out.

Game Summary
The news around the Charlotte Bobcats camp is that Shaun Livingston and Kwame Brown put in a lot of extra work and look to sho wa lot of improvement. The Bobcats also tried to help their case by adding college hoops star Adam Morrison. Whereas the Bobcats look to be a surprise team this year, the Dallas Mavericks are looking to keep up their regular season dominance. Let’s just wait and see if they can finally do something in the playoffs. The Mavericks are probably wondering why Caron Butler didn’t play like he did tonight in the playoffs. The Mavericks were in control the whole game, even though there were a number of lead changes in the second and third quarter. If you were a spectator watching this game with no scoreboard, you would have thought that it was never close.

The Mavericks controlled the tempo of the game and Dirk Nowitzki stuck with his usual twenty plus points ending up with a total of twenty-four points on the night. The Mavericks decided to start their usual sixth man, Jason Terry, tonight and it paid dividins. Dallas’s outspoken owner, Mark Cuban, had this to say after the game, “We know we can win these regular season games. We didn’t expect Charlotte to play with us and they didn’t. Right now we are just focused on redemption in the playoffs.” When Coach Rick Carlisle was asked about Cuban’s comments he responded, “We are taking this one game at a time.”

Even though the Bobcats lost the game it was obvious that both Livingston and Brown showed a lot of improvement. Morrison was amazing off the bench and this team looks like it should be able to make a playoff push. The issue with Charlotte was the mistakes down the stretch, even though it didn’t seem like it they were in the game in the fourth quarter. They knocked themselves out of the game with forced turnovers, forced shots, and silly fouls. Once this team keeps playing together and really meshes, I think the sky is the limit for these guys. With Charlotte being in the weak Eastern Conference, I definitely see them returning to the playoffs this year.

Maybe it's the sliders. The simulation slider has steals on 50, make it 5-8 and you'll be good.

I'll try it out... it's very easy to see which team I control in these games. Just look for the team with the most turnovers.

I was Washington in this one. I was playing on HOF too, guess the Wizards just fit my style of play really well. For some reason they didn't start giving Howard the ball till the end of the game. McGee kept going baseline on Howard all game, Howard couldn't keep track of him. One plus for the Magic was that Arenas was pretty unstoppable. Tough luck losing Hedo though...

He couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat man, but open up that lane for him and not even Howard can stop him.
