PRESEASON
1.
Lakers
And why shouldn't the defending champs be at the top? Until someone knocks them off, the Lakers are the toast of the NBA. The same pieces are in the same place for another title run this year.
2.
Spurs
The Spurs are looking for a revived Richard Jefferson to contribute and DeJuan Blair to prove last year was not a fluke. It may be now or never for San Antonio, as the Original Big 3 (copied by Boston and Miami) are aging.
3.
Heat
After a very successful summer, the Heat and their Superfriends are looking to take the NBA by storm. However, these games aren't played on paper, and with multiple superstars on one team, chemistry can be an issue.
4.
Magic
It seems like the entire Magic team can shoot from outside, save Dwight Howard. With the re-acquisiton of Hedo Turkoglu and nabbing Jason Richardson and Gilbert Arenas, the three's will rain down in the Amway Center this year.
5.
Bulls
The Bulls will gladly take their consolation prize in Carlos Boozer after missing out on Wade and LeBron. Derrick Rose is a stud, and Joakim Noah is rounding into a solid player down low. Look for Luol Deng to have a breakout year.
6.
Celtics
They may be getting old(er, now with Shaq and Jermaine O'Neal on the team), but the Celtics showed they're not done yet with a Finals appearance last year. Jeff Green will bring some youthful energy to the Celts. Will they miss the defensive efforts of Kendrick Perkins?
7.
Blazers
The Blazers are a sleeper team in the West. Provided their two young bigs in Lamarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden can stay healthy in perform, the Blazers have a 1-5 that can compete with anyone.
8.
Mavericks
Another aging team in the West with their title window closing. Dirk Nowitzki is the best shooting 7-footer in the history of the game. Jason Kidd is approaching 40 but can still make everyone else on the team look better.
9.
Thunder
The Thunder made some noise (no pun intended) last year by giving the top seeded Lakers all they could handle. With Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook teaming up, and now throwing in Kendrick Perkins in the middle, the sky is the limit for Oklahoma City.
10.
Hornets
Chris Paul is arguably the best point guard in the league when healthy. New Hornet Trevor Ariza will play a big part in the success of this team. Emeka Okafor is out with a lot to prove this year, after being somewhat of a bust since he was drafted by Charlotte.
11.
Knicks
As with the Heat, the talent is there in Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony. But can they coexist in New York? Chauncey Billups looks to live up to what everyone has been calling him lately: the best throw-in in NBA trading history.
12.
76ers
Surprised? The Sixers are loaded with young talent in Andre Iguodala, Jrue Holliday, Louis Williams, Evan Turner, and Thaddeus Young. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Philly back in the playoffs this year.
13.
Clippers
Even more surprised? With the Lake Show on the other side of town, the Clippers bring the Blake Show to Los Angeles along with budding star Eric Gordon and two other solid rookies in Eric Bledsoe and Al-Farouq Aminu.
14.
Carmelo who? The Nuggets got a ton of talent in return for their disgruntled superstar. The Tar Heel duo of Felton and Lawson at the point along with instant offense in J.R. Smith and Danilo Galinari look to put up a lot of points for the Nuggets.
15.
Rockets
Can Yao Ming's career be saved? Alonside Kevin Martin and Luis Scola are some talented but unproven players in Kyle Lowry and Terrence Williams. Yao's health will be the catalyst for how the season goes for Houston.
16.
Grizzlies
Memphis looks to pick up where they left off last year, nearly missing the playoffs. Mike Conley continues to improve, O.J. Mayo looks to break out of his shell, and Zach Randoplh has finally settled down and is a beast in the paint. Rudy Gay, however, is still the star.
17.
Warriors
Newly acquired David Lee looks to help out the exciting guard duo of Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry this year for Golden State, turning back the clock with their uniforms this year.
18.
Jazz
No Sloan. No Williams. No Boozer. This nearly completely revamped Jazz team has a lot to prove this season. Rookie Derrick Favors is someone worth keeping an eye on.
19.
Suns
While Steve Nash continues to age like fine wine, his main partner in crime has departed for the Big Apple, and it looks like he will fall victim to the John Stockton disease: playing on a good team that could just never win it all.
20.
Hawks
Arguably the most athletic team in the NBA played at the slowest pace last year. Can Kirk Hinrich be the point guard this team so desperately needs?
21.
Cavaliers
Dry your eyes, Cleveland. Your team still has to play. Antawn Jamison leads an inexperienced and, for the most part, untalented team.
22.
Bucks
Apparently, the people who decide the Power Rankings thought last year was a fluke. Brandon Jennings and Andrew Bogut are out to prove that you should still Fear the Deer.
23.
Kings
09-10 Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans looks to continue his success...with no help. DeMarcus Cousins is a raw talent, and Marcus Thornton was a nice acquisition for the Kings, but this year doesn't appear to be the Kings' year.
24.
Pacers
Danny Granger is a solid player, but he has yet to take that next step up to stardom for Indiana. Darren Collison finally gives the Pacers a solid point guard, and Roy Hibbert aims for a breakout year.
25.
Nets
Deron Williams and Brook Lopez are solid building blocks, but other than that, the Nets aren't very much. Rookie Damion James could quietly put together a good season. Offseason acquisition Anthony Morrow and his deadly three-point shot will help bring the Nets out of the cellar this year.
26.
Bobcats
The 'Cats are fresh off their first playoff berth, but they play in the East, after all...Now with no Gerald Wallace they aren't expected to make much noise in 2010-11.
27.
Timberwolves
Almost a permanent fixture at the bottom now, the Wolves actually have something to look forward to in the future. Michael Beasley, Kevin Love, and Jonny Flynn are young potential stars that may bring the Wolves to respectability, if not this year, in the future.
28.
Wizards
D.C. is buzzing over John Wall, but one person does not a team make. Nick Young and Javale McGee are players to watch this year.
29.
Pistons
It's a shame to see one of the best teams of the past decade deteriorated to what it is now. Perhaps rookie Greg Monroe and Rodney Stuckey give Detroit fans somewhat of a bright outlook for the future.
30.
Raptors
Yuck.

Game Notes: The Nets competed for one quarter, then imploded. It seemed like they couldn't throw a rock in the ocean. Early foul trouble by players such as Damion James and Brook Lopez proved costly, as Portland scored at will throughout the entire game. The Blazers shot 53% from the field compared to the Nets' 40%. Turnovers were also a problem for the Nets, as they committed 17, 6 by Deron Williams. Portlands bench outscored Jersey's bench 48-21. A lot of free throws were attempted in the game; Portland shot 32-39 while New Jersey shot 22-27.

I'll just work with it for a while until I get to a realistic level with it. I'm not really experienced with this association thing.

I see...you can improve.

I'll follow this. I hope I won't get lazy reading all the works. All I want to see is the scores.

Game Notes: A total defensive collapse in the fourth by the Nets spoiled a good shooting night from Anthony Morrow. A back and forth affair to the finish, Washington held a 2 point lead with time winding down when Deron Williams, who. although garnering the Player of the Week award in the East had another atrocious shooting night, drove and hit a basket and was fouled with 14.4 seconds left. However, he missed the go-ahead free throw, and John Wall was fouled, and cooly sank 2 free throws with 5 seconds left. Williams proceeded to miss the potential game-tying shot at the buzzer, to the chagrin of the majority of the people in the Prudential Center. Washington had a balanced attack with Andray Blatche leading their scorers, and 6 players reached double figures.
GAME STATS:
Washington:
*A. Blatche 19 PTS, 12 REB, 3 STL
*J. McGee 16 PTS (8-10 FG), 7 REB, 2 STL, 5 BLk
Jo. Crawford 14 PTS (2-3 3PT)
*R. Lewis 14 PTS, 6 REB, 2 STL
*N. Young 14 PTS
*J. Wall 14 PTS, 5 REB, 14 AST, 5 STL
Jo. Howard 8 PTS
T. Booker 1 PT, 8 REB
New Jersey:
*A. Morrow 30 PTS (12-19 FG, 4-9 3PT)
*D. Williams 23 PTS (9-30 FG), 8 REB, 16 AST, 5 STL

Game Notes: The Nets looked like they were playing in wet cement on defense. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook scored at will. New Jersey had given up an average of 114.7 points in their first three games. The lone bright spot for the Nets continues to be Deron Williams, who had another big, and this time, efficient, game. The Nets play the Bobcats hoping to snag a W before the end of November.
GAME STATS:
New Jersey:
*D. Williams 29 PTS (10-20 FG, 3-6 3PT), 6 REB, 9 AST, 3 STL, 1 BLK
*B. Lopez 17 PTS, 5 REB, 2 BLK
*K. Humphries 14 PTS (6-8 FG), 9 REB, 2 BLK
*A. Morrow 13 PTS (3-5 3PT), 1 BLK
J. Farmar 8 PTS, 2 STL, 1 BLK
S. Gaines 7 PTS
*D. James 7 PTS (2-11 FG), 7 REB, 1 BLK
Oklahoma City:

Game Notes:
-We got shafted. Thoroughly.
-Deron Williams was held to single digits in points for the first time.
-Brook Lopez is starting to come out of his slump.
-Anthony Morrow is fully recovered from injury.
Rudy Gay - 25 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast
O.J. Mayo - 25 pts, 7 reb, 6 ast, 5 stl
Zach Randolph - 21 pts, 9 reb
Mike Conley - 18 pts, 9 ast

Damion James takes a charge on Zach Randolph while Brook Lopez is dumbfounded by a huge zit on Marc Gasol's back:

Game Notes:
-23 turnovers. Not okay. 19 Pacer turnovers soothes the pain.
-Danny Granger teed off...
-We never trailed, but when the Pacers made it interesting in the fourth, key threes down the stretch by Stephen Graham and Sasha Vujacic put it on ice.
-Brook Lopez is on a tear.
Granger - 38 pts (18-27 FG, 2-2 3PT), 15 reb, 4 stl
Dahntay Jones - 20 pts, 7 reb
Darren Collison - 8 pts (3-16 FG), 6 ast, 3 stl, 9 to
