THE FACTS: Coming into this game the Rockets are in 1st place in the Western conference while the Clippers are tied for 7th place. The large part of the Rockets success has been super scorer Kevin Martin and a surprisingly health Yao Ming. Blake Griffin played this game free of pain as he has completely healed from his ankle injury. The Clippers would fall behind by a large amount after the first half, but tough defense made the second half a completely different story. Blake Griffin with his first Player of the Game Award lead the charge.
THE STAT: These two teams are some of the top shot blocking teams this season; the Clippers won that stat with 11 blocks compared to the Rockets 9
QUOTABLE: Kevin Martin was asked, "How does it feel to score 47 points and lose?"-his response- "No comment..."
HOT: Kevin Martin scored 25 points in the 1Q alone, the majority of them coming in the last 6 minutes of the quarter.
NOT: Eric Bledsoe 0-4 in 8 minutes and had a +/- of -21
He did not even play in the 2nd Half. Willie Warren started the 4Q instead of Eric Bledsoe
GOOD MOVE: With the game tied in the 4Q with only 1:09 left in the game, the Baron Davis leads the team on the break and throws up an alley-oop to a streaking Blake Griffin for the lead. The crowd went nuts and momentum was completely on the Clippers side.
BAD MOVE: The Clippers led the game early and looked to control it right from the start with a health Blake Griffin scoring 10 points in the first 6 minutes of the game, but when VDN put the bench in, th Clippers bench allowed Kevin Martin to get hot and finish the quarter with the Rockets up 38 to 27 behind his 25 1Q points.
Injuries: N/A
Clippers expect Craig "Rhino" Smith back from injury and to debut in their next game.

DURANT AND JAMES NAMED PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
BOSTON CELTICS STILL TOP OF THE POWER RANKINGS
This is the 3rd week in a row, the team is still undefeated on the season. The only team undefeated.
TORONTO SNAPS 7-GAME SKID
The Raptors finally win one, but they do it at home. The team is still win-less on the read, but still a victory over the Spurs is something to be proud of.
San Antonio is still struggling and it looks like new owner Thierry Tirieux is frustrated. Hopefully the Spurs will still make it into the playoffs where their veteran experience will allow them to do damage despite what seed they fall in.
WARRIORS MAKE A TRADE OFFER TO THE CLIPPERS
That is right, the geniuses in Golden State decided to test the Clippers new GM KidJustin and send him an offer of Stephen Curry and Dan Gadzuric for get this....
Al-Farouq Aminu AND BLAKE GRIFFIN!
GM KidJustin, "I almost died when I saw the offer! What are those fools thinking? So I took the offer to the restroom with me before I sent them back a sh*t rejection letter to go along with their sh*t offer."

CLIPPERS BLAKE GRIFFIN AND DEANDRE JORDAN BFF'S
Ever since DeAndre Jordan had a breakout game in Indiana, he has cracked LA Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro's rotation and has been getting an abundance of minutes. Ever since Blake Griffin was drafted in 2009, these two have become fast friends and the chemistry is clearly there. Which is one of the reasons why after his 3rd year in the league, DeAndre Jordan has finally been able to display his potential.
Jordan's increased playing time, however, has come at the cost of the longest tenured Clipper, Chris Kaman.
We quizzed both Blake and DeAndre just so see how authentic their friendship really is...

Maggette onboard Spurs' bandwagon
nba.com/spurs/beat | November 22th, 2010
SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Spurs completed a three-team trade last week to acquire forward Corey Maggette from the Milwaukee Bucks, sending Richard Jefferson to the Los Angeles Lakers; the Lakers sent Ron Artest to the Bucks to complete the deal.
Quick analysis; Spurs owner Thierry Tirieux was impressed with Maggette's stats. As most Spurs fans have already pointed him out in this past few days, the lack of accurate outside shooting was evident in last year’s playoff sweep to Phoenix. San Antonio made moves to address this need, drafting James Anderson and a hired gun such as Gary Neal; Maggette also holds a .321% career 3PT%.
If Tony Parker shows up in looking like the effective player he was last year (16.0 points, 487% from the field, 5.7 assists), Maggette won’t have to explode like LeBron James does sometimes. He’ll be running with Parker, picking up the slack when the offense is stalling and playing a secondary role to Parker, Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan. But if Parker starts to struggle with an inconsistent jump shot and inability to finish inside the paint against giant defenders, Maggette’s role grows. He’ll be more heavily relied on for offense and Parker, who always says passing is his first meal, will be very glad to feed the beast that is Maggette in offense.
But, you know, the Spurs take pride on their defensive end. Coach Gregg Popovich would not hesitate to bench Duncan himself if he didn’t feel like he was cutting it on defense. So, regardless of what’s going on offensively with Maggette, it’s crucial for him to hold up in defense with his opponent if he wants to earn time. And this is where he may struggle. Some suggested that Ginobili's versatility and defense were a quietly huge factor in the Spurs victories last year; replacing a minor part of the Argentinian's minutes with Maggette’s, that could prove very, very important from a defensive standpoint and would give Manu a little less play time, and rest his body for the playoffs.
Perhaps this is just the sort of trade Maggette’s needed to kickstart his career again, and turn him from just a guy who puts numbers, to an important part of a winning team. Either way, things have gotten more interesting in San Antonio. I'm very certain that the city is going to have different feeling when they see this team in action.
Behemoths Beat Bruins Behind Barkhorn's Buzzer Beater
LIBERTY CITY (AP) - The Liberty City Community College Behemoths never led for much of the game, but when they finally did, it was over.
Jerome Barkhorn fired 39 points, including the game-winning three, to lead LCCC past UCLA, 99-96, for their sixth consecutive win.
"I lost my car yesterday, I thought my bad luck would last until today," said Barkhorn shortly after the game. Barkhorn's car, a black Kuruma, was stolen outside his house about 10 o'clock last night.
"Hopefully, when I play for the NBA next year, I'll be able to buy myself a new set of wheels."
Julian Martin had 21 points and Vladis Iesalnieks had 14 and 10 rebounds for the Bruins, who have lost five straight.
Meet Zee, Leader of the Wolfpack
North Carolina State 6'9 combo forward Zee Otoo is tearing up the NCAA, ranking fourth in scoring with 24.0 points per game and second in rebounding among non-centers, with 8.7 per game. He can drive into the paint with dazzling agility, dunk all over people, or pull up for short and mid-range jumpers, but his deadliest move is his continuously-developing outside shot. As a freshman, he averaged just 30% from outside on approximately two outside shot attempts a game. Now he converts nearly half on 5 attempts per game.
"You've just got to find the right shot. I don't shoot the long ball unless I know I can take my time. I credit my team for giving me opportunities to be open for threes. Sometimes I'll pass up a three and try a mid-range floater if I don't have time on my side. I'm trying to get a quicker release on my long-range shots, that way I'll be able to take threes with defenders all up in my face and make them too."
Zee Otoo, however, has flaws that might keep him from even being selected in the lottery. "I just can't focus on defense sometimes. It's like my A.D.D. kicks in when the ball is in the opposing team's control and suddenly it clears up whenever we have the ball back. That's why we struggle against teams with very good forwards. Except for occasional stealing and blocking, my defense is basically non-existent. I've been working on it harder than ever this year and I hope I can get my D to an NBA level come next October."
Not only is it impressive that NC State only has one loss, but Otoo has been playing on a sprained ankle all season long. "It happens. You just have to play through it." This is exactly the attitude that could give Otoo problems in the NBA. He has notoriously weak ankles, but rarely complains about it. If you're injured, you should rest it to avoid further damage. Otoo should have learned this lesson after missing the second half of his freshman season for this reason. But he hasn't.
Mock Drafts have Zee Otoo selected anywhere between 32nd overall and 5th overall. Coincidentally, another flaw: he lacks consistency.

Martin back’s out of the draft
UCLA bigman Julian Martin declared that he will not participate in the upcoming NBA Draft. "I decided to stay here in UCLA and help my teammates win it all." Martin said. This decision was due to the way the Bruins are playing. They currently lost the LCCC in a buzzer beater.
"If I can’t lead this team to victory then I don’t stand a chance in a higher level, I'll take this as a personal challenge. And besides I’m looking forward to play next year when I won’t be teaming up with a selfish player."

THE FACTS: The Clippers are working their way up in the standings in the West while the Nets are still figuring it out in the bottom of the East. The Nets had no answer for the Clippers bigs inside as dunk after dunk, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan kept the game exciting. Blake would end up in foul trouble however. Craig "Rhino" Smith played his first game of the season after coming back from a strained abdomen injury, he entered in the 1Q when Blake Griffin got into foul trouble and got a rebound right away. He would score his first basket on his first attempt in the 2Q. With Blake be bothered by fouls in the 2Q, Eric Gordon erupted in route to 25 first half points. The Nets would get back in the game with a 40 point 3Q. But the Clippers would rally for their 4th straight victory behind Blake Griffin's 34 points, the majority of which came in the 4Q alone.
THE STAT: The Nets scored 40 points compared to the Clippers 26 in the 3Q to get them back in the game, the Clippers shot 76% in the 4Q to win the game
QUOTABLE: Blake Griffin had words with both the Nets Sasha Vujacic and Anthony Morrow, we asked Blake what he was telling them, "Well I was just making sure Anthony [Morrow] was alright on the play. But Sasha, I told him that he better watch out cause I'm going to be dunking on Nets all day."![]()
HOT: Eric Gordon scored 14 of his 25 first half points in the 2Q to blow a 2 point lead into 12, he did it by missing only 2 shots -a three pointer that went in and out and another three in an attempt to beat the buzzer
NOT: Eric Gordon had an awesome night scoring, but that included going 1-7 from the 3 point line
GOOD MOVE: 4Q the Clippers were down as much as 4, but once they were able to cut it down to 2, Randy Foye went on a fast break and threw up an alley-oop lob for DeAndre to finish and tie the game. Momentum was now on the Clippers side
BAD MOVE: With less that 15 seconds to go Brook Lopez shook DeAndre Jordan off and had a clear chance to make a layup to tie the game and force overtime, he missed the shot (which was only 2 feet away from the basket) and the Clippers would rebound and secure the win
Injuries: Ike Diogu twisted his ankle late in the game and did not return, he is listed as day-to-day and is still healthy to play. However VDN has chosen to active Brian Cook so that Ike Diogu can completely heal after his second injury this early season
Devin Harris was fouled hard in the 4Q and did not return, he is listed with a strained abdomen and will be out for 2-4 weeks
Anthony Morrow was also taken down but would stay in the game, he is listed as day-to-day with back spasms![]()
