Looking at the recaps from Sportscenter, Jon Fajardo knew he had a good thing going here in Miami. "Hey good job on getting the first win under your belt, Jon," Spoelstra said. "It was a huge first win for me, too. Hopefully we can get more than 15 of those this season!" They both laughed. Jon continued on with the conversation, "Hey so I been meaning to talk to you about that Morrison trade deal." Spoelstra looked on in interest. "Ok so listen, I want Morrison here. Plain and simple. As far as what we're giving up, I've decided to package Jamario Moon, Luther Head and our 2nd round pick next season." Spoelstra looked on, "Luther Head? Why him?" Jon explained, "Because the cap space does not even out between the two of us. Moon alone doesn't make enough as Morrisson so I threw in Luther's 3.52M contract on the table. And the Lakers wanteda draft pick so I gave em the #2 pick for next year." Spoelstra nodded his head, "Ok sounds good."

"Now as far as our line-up, you know my scheme. You know I want to run that small ball game with this group. We tried it against the Knicks and it worked great, in my opinion," Jon stated. "Yeah it did, so if you do get Morrison my plan is-," Spoelstra took a piece of paper and began writing in his probable depth chart should Jon acquire Adam Morrison. "My line-up would look like this...," Spoelstra showed Jon the piece of paper that read:

Now I'm assuming you have my back on this trade so I'm going to go ahead and call Mitch and let him know that our part of the deal is in play now." Spoelstra smiled, "Sounds good, keep me updated on anything that comes through on the trade." "I will," Jon said. And Spoelstra left the room to continue practice with the team.

[Ring, Ring] "Yeah this is Mitch, who's calling?" said the Lakers GM. "Mitch, hey its Jon Fajardo." Jon replied. "Oh hey what's up kid? How everything? I heard you got your first win. Congratulations man." Mitch said. Jon replied, "Yeah, thanks a lot. Listen, I wanted to discuss that Morrison deal. I've talked to my staff and we've decided that we want to get Morrison on that first plane here in Miami!"

Jon heard Mitch talking to someone else on the phone. "Huh? What? Oh yeah! So we're going to go through with this trade? I just got info from David Stern that he will approve of this trade." Jon was as happy as can be, "Great! I'll send all the neccessary paperwork immediately. I'll talk to you soon."

"Alright kid, see you later."

As they hung up, Jon immediately dialed another number, "Hey Erik, it's Jon, the trade is going through as we speak." With that, Jon's dreams of running a small ball squad in Miami seems to have coming sooner than expected.

Lakers, Heat Strike A Deal for Morrison

Miami, Florida (AP)- In the leagues first trade of the season, Miami will look to send Jamario Moon to the Lakers for Adam Morrison to help GM Jon establish that Run n Gun offense.

In the deal for Miami, they packaged Jamario Moon, Luther Head and a 2nd Round Draft Pick to the Lakers for 24 year old Adam Morrison. The trade occurred just after Miami won it's season opener in New York and after the Lakers got there first win again the Clippers. "Morrison will be a valuable piece to our offense, " head coach Erik Spoelstra stated. "Jon is changing things, and if we can get wins like that one in New York under him, then I have no doubt in any moves he make this season."

Morrison once played for the Bobcat's but was traded due to his lack of defense and poor scoring ability. "All he needs is a team that can run an offense through him and a team that can rely on him," Jon said on the trade. "His role for us will be to come off the bench and score. It's as simple as that. Of course we will work on him with his perimeter defense, but right now scoring is his main objective."

Morrison will look to pass a physical and then is expedcted to join hsi new team for their home opener against the Sacramento Kings.

Here you need some suggestions so here.

Your starting lineup and bench should look like this:

C-O'Neal / Maglorie
PF-Haslem / A scoring PF (look at list)
SF-Beasley / Morrison
SG-Wade / Cook
PG-Chalmers / Quinn

Why well ok all of this guys can run (with the expcetion of O'Neal due to injuries). 2nd is that you might want a scorer like beasley to fit wade because you don't Wade to take all the scoring on his back. Third, this is a small team so its ok. You might want to trade for Morrison and for a big man that can run so you can try to bring in guys like Andray Blatche, Amir Johnson, Jason thompson, Sean Williams, Ryan Gomes, or Darrell Arthur.<<<<<Options for big men. You might want to keep O'Neal cause he is big and can really bring tough defence so keep him. Please listen to my suggestions because they will really help you, I promise. I had already made this moves and they work. Also Beasley is a natural SF cause he is 6"8" and is more of a scorer than a post defender. He is also quick enough to defend Guards and strong enough to guard forwards. Last but not least is that this team can run already, I seen them play in their arena and they can run for sure. Also try to get a veteran PG like for example Steve Francis

Miami, Florida (AP)- The Miami Heat will look to get a win at home in their home opener against the Sacramento Kings. Being led by Dwyane Wade and upcoming superstar Michael Beasley, the Heat will look to put a 2 in their win column. With the recent trade of Morrison to the Heat, look for a high scoring offense-heavy game from the Heat. After an injury ridden season last year, Dwyane Wade will look to take charge and do things right here in Miami.

Wade, averaging 30 ppg, after his great game in New York will look to provide a spark that is needed in order for this Miami team to get that W. Wade said before the home opener that the team will need to be in the best shape this season to even have a shot at the Championship and that if we want to be a great team, we must protect our home court. Great advice from a great player.

Beasley, who will be at the 3 spot this game, is coming into the game averaging 26 ppg affter his stellar performance in New York. "This is exactly where I want my game to be at. Everyone has expected so much from me being the #2 pick and I'm just glad I can show everybody that I can be that go to guy," Beasley said during warm ups. It is intriguing however, seeing that Beasley will be playing the 3 spot. We will see how that pans out for the Heat, but if it doesn't work he will obviously go back to the 4.

For Sacramento, Kevin Martin is looking to have a great season this year averaging 19 points per game, 9 rebounds per game and 6 assists per game. If these are numbers that will be consistent throughout the year, expect Martin to be on that All-Star team. At 6'7", it's no surprise that he's grabbing those many boards against smaller guards at his position.

The Kings will look to be without Center, Spencer Hawes (for 9 days) due to a bruised heel he suffered against the Timberwolves in a game the Kings won. The Kings will look to start Mikke Moore who is averaging 8 points per game, 5 rebounds per game and 2 assists per game. The Kings have a decent enough amount of players to get something done this season so they are not a team to sleep on, hopefully.

#23 Kevin Martin v. #3 Dwyane Wade

Ah yes, an old fashion, battle of the guards match-up. This will be an interesting match-up to watch. Seeing the 6'4" Dwyane Wade against the 6'7" Kevin Martin. Anythign can happen in this matchup, however, if Wade plays at the same intensity he was playing against the Kings, Kevin Martin will have a long day ahead of him. If Wade can stop Martin from getting to 9 boards per his average, then the Heat will be in great shape.

Kevin Martin will lookto use his size against Wade. Though he isn't as physical as Wade is, the fact that hes 3 inches taller can really make a difference. martin has that quick, unorthodox shot, when open, can sink it from anywhere against the best of them. Overall, I think Mr. Flash and the Heat will be able to defend their home and get #2 in that win column.

To be here with you great fans and to continue what legendary Pat Riley has accomplished here is perhaps one of the greatest things I have ever been given. I'am truly thankful although I know I won't live up to what Riley has done, I know that I can come close. Anyways-," Jon looked around the arena. "TODAY IS OUR HOME OPENER! WE'RE COMING INTO THE GAME WITH A WIN AND WE'RE LEAVING THE GAME WITH A WIN AS WELL. SO ENJOY, AND LETS GOOO MIAMI!!!" The crowd went ballistic!

As they got up to the pressbox, Jon ran into Erik Spoelstra. "Hey Erik, listen before you go to the locker room, I just wanted to say that you're doing a great job coaching these guys." Spoelstra responded, "Thanks a lot. I like the direction your taking this team you know?" Spoelstra stated. "Thanks. But listen, I was up all night thinking up of another trade idea. So after this game, I want to talk about it, if you dont mind." Jon said. Looking on and without hesitation, Spoelstra responded, "No problem." "Great! Well go on out there and good luck. I know you'll do great out there." And the two separated.

Miami, Florida (AP)- Not exactly the best way to open a home opener, however, the Miami Heat pulled off a 85-79 win to successfully defend their home court against the Sacramento Kings.

The Miami Heat had a little trouble getting their offense on task as they had a sluggish 1st half shooting only 16 for 40 from the field (40%). However, as the 2nd half came knockin' Dwyane Wade came scoring- and we can't forget, Beasley. Dwyane Wade had a 26 points off 11 of 25 shooting, along with 4 rebounds and 5 steals. Wade sat out almost the entire 2nd quarter because of his slow start. I guess he took that as a sign because after, he went off shooting 7 of 15 for the rest of the game.

Beasley almost had his first career double double as he finished with 19 points and 9 boards to go along with 3 steals. Udonis Haslem played hard and gave his team 14 rebounds! And Jamaal Magloire helped with 10 boards of his own. The debut of Adam Morrison as a Heat was mediocre, he had 11 points off the bench. Not exactly what Spoelstra needed from Morrison but its passable. The game was tight through the first 2 quarters but Wade and Beasley proved to be too much for the Kings.

Kevin Martin led his team with 23 points and continued his average with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. In a surprise to the game, Spencer Hawes played through his injury and came out the game with 5 points and 4 boards. In all, the Kings scored a low 32% from the field with 28 of 86 shooting which makes them the second team that Miami has held under 40% in a game.

Apart from Martin, Beno Udrih, Franscico Garcia and Quincy Douby were the only other players who scored in double figures. With this win Miami will look to go to Charlotte for Adam Morrisons homecoming and for win number 3.

After his congratulatory meeting with the press, Jon Fajardo quickly went to work on his trade idea. As he approached his office, there waiting was Head Coach Erick Spoelstra. "What's up Jon? You wanted to see me about a trade idea?" Spoelstra asked. "Yes! Come on inside with me and lets discuss it," Jon ordered Erik. As they went inside, Jon went straight to his desk to dig up something he had written on a piece of paper. As he turned up to Spoelstra, Jon said, "Take a look at this. I think this would be a great addition to our team downlow to help O' Neal."

As Spoelstra read what was on the piece of paper; his eyes lit up for a brief second, "Are you serious? Listen, if we can get this guy then our team will be that much better in my opinion. We're not giving up anything big right?" asked Spoelstra. "No, at least I don't think so. They agreed to get Dorell Wright in exchange. No picks, no nothing else." Jon explained. "The way I see it is, he can come off the bench with Morrison and we can still have an inside/outside game if we want." "Sounds good. When will you put this trade in play?" asked Spoelstra. "After the Charlotte game because we have a 3 day break till our next match against Philly."

As the two left to get on their flight to Charlotte, Spoelstra dropped the paper on the desk which read:

Charlotte, North Carolina (AP)- The Miami Heat will head into Bobcat territory as they visit the Charlotte Bobcat's in a division rivalry battle. Dwyane Wade will look to lead his group t oa 3rd straight victory whereas the Bobcats will look to get their first win of the season. Raymond Felton will try and get his Bobcats a win over the Division leading Miami Heat.

Wade, averaging 28 points per game will try and bring his explosive offense and gun out the Cats at home. Dwyane Wade has has a spectacular start in the season and I don't think we will see anything less of spectacular against the Bobcats. Michael Beasley, averaging 22.5 points per game, has started his rookie campaign on the right foot as he will try and help Wade get the teams 3rd straight win of the season. The line-up of Beasley at the 3 will be seen again as he played quite well at that 3 spot. Look for Miami to go to him early in the game against Gerald Wallace.

Speaking of Gerald Wallace, he has started this season averaging only 6 points a game! One thing's forsure, he'll probably have a hard time getting his spark back against this Miami team which has forced 2 teams to score lower than 40% on the season so far. If Miami keeps up their defensive intensity, I wouldn't expect to see Wallace explode.

Emeka Okafor will be the force downlow as he is the teams go to guy in the post. However, he will be facing Udonis Haslem who is having a real quiet season but nonetheless is playing excellent defense. If Okafor can get Haslem off rhythym then maybe Okafor can get the edge in the match-up.

#30 Michael Beasley v. #3 Gerald Wallace

Before the match even starts you can tell this will be one hell of a match-up. Beasley will have a major height advantage and much more weight advantge over Wallace. Wallace will need to almost play a perfect game to outdo Beasley. However, if Beasley can keep driving and scoring, Wallace will not have a chance. Wallace is a bit more athletic than Beasley so look for Wallace to try and get Beasley off his feet.

Beasley will have his work cut out for him against Wallace. Despite his 6 points per game start, Wallace can do a lot of things. If he can establish a jumpshot early, Wallace can be a threat to drive at anytime....and finish! If Beasley can keep his defensive intensity up then Wallace will have to look another day for a jump start to the season.

More Trade Talks in Miami Spark Interest in Warrick

Miami, Florida (AP)- With 2 wins under his belt, new GM Jon Fajardo has already made a trade to get Adam Morrison. Now, after a day of getting Morrison, he is looking for more bigs down low that can score. Hakim Warrick, who is averaging a career best 15.5 points per game and 5.5 boards per game is Jons main focus right now. Warrick was selected by the Grizzlies in the 2005 NBA Draft in the 1st round and has increased his stats throughout his career.

Plan for Warrick will be to come off the bench with Morrison to keep that inside/outside game even Wade, Beasley and O'Neal are off the court. If all pans out, Miami could be a threat to win the East this season.

"Bobcats Victims to Heat Offensive Unit"

Charlotte, North Carolina(AP)- The Charlotte Bobcats came into the game looking for their first win of the season. Not only didn't they get it, but the Miami Heat made sure they weren't even close to getting it. The Miami Heat obliterated the Bobcat's in a what was Adam Morrisons "payback game" as the Heat won 120-82.

The Miami Heat shot a team best 56% from the field on 43 of 77 shooting and also put on a clinic with 9 of 18 shooting behind the arc. However the real story here was former Bobcats, Adam Morrison. Morrison started the game real sluggish as he had 0 points in the 1st quarter. However, after that Morrison became a sharp shooter as he shot 7 for 8 including 4 of 4 behind the arc in the 2nd quarter. He would later finish the game with 22 points. Mario Chalmers had a career best game with 13 assist and 4 steals to help Miami on the defensive side.

Michael Beasley had another 20+ game with 27 points and 7 boards including 2 steals. And the MVP hopeful, Dwyane Wade added 29 points to go with 2 steals. Udonis Haslem grabbed 11 boards to give him two straight games with 10+ rebounds and Daequon Cook added another 15 points to go with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. By the time th 4th quarter came around, the Heat were up by as much as 40 points which made Spoelstra sit out the entire starting 5 for the whole quarter.

Charlotte became the first team to shoot over 40% against the Heat, unfortunately, it came in a loss. The team shot 40% off 33 of 82 shooting and 13% behind the arc. Emeka Okafor had a solid game with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Gerald Wallace upped his average in this game by ending the game with 20 points and 6 steals! That, however, came in the 4th quarter where it didn't matter. However, if he can stay this consistent, he can really help the Cats' get their first win, just not against the Heat.

D.J. Augustine had 12 points and 7 assists and Raymond Felton also had 14 points and 7 assists. Radmonovic gave the Bobcat's some hope as he had 16 points and 7 rebounds but it just wasn't enough to cool the Heat. After this game you better believe that the Heat will look forward to their upcoming 3 day break and hopefully obtain another big man down low.

Game Notes: Michael Beasley shot an excellent 90% from the field from a 9 of 10 night. The Miami Heat forced 20 turnovers in the game. The Miami Heat scored a total of 79 points in the 2nd and 3rd quarter combined!

It's Official: Warrick Now A Heat


Warrick (above) will join Heat against 76ers

Miami, Florida (AP)- In yet another attempt at rebuilding his team, GM Jon Fajardo and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to terms of trading Hakim Warrick to the Heat for Dorell Wright.

Warrick, averaging 17.5 points a game and 7.3 rebounds a game will look to join Dwayne Wade and the new look Miami Heat as they continue their stride into a play off contending team. "Warrick's ability on the glass and on offense will be of help to us down low. It gives Haslem more time to rest and Jermaine O'Neal," say Jon Fajardo of the trade.

Dorell Wright has been with the Heat for 5 years and just wasn't living up to the hype that the HEat expected from him. "It was time for him to go, bottom line. He will be missed here in Miami, but right now it's about the team. And the team needs help down low. It is nothing personal against Wright," says Jon.

The lineup for the Heat will remain the same, however, with the acception of Morrison and Warrick coming off the bench. This can prove problematic for teams who don't know how to guard either of them due to their wide variety of range.
