You should have a nice win against the kings. Are you under or over the cap?

Kings bow down to the Rockets [9-0]

[8-0]Houston Rockets 111-98 Sacramento Kings[6-2]

Just because you're a former teammate of Yao, doesn't mean he'll have mercy on you.

The Rockets headed to Sacramento looking to reach 9 wins. The Rockets started off strong, leading by 10 after the first. The Kings, however, had a very strong 2nd quarter, and tied it at half time. The second half was atrocious for the Kings, and they just could not play defense. The well-deserved Sprite Performer of the Game, Yao Ming, scored 17 and grabbed 14 rebounds in just 14 minutes that he played! K-Mart made a bigger impact than Carl Landry on the offensive end, while Carl was noisier on the defensive end, with 2 blocks and 15 rebounds. Scola got his first double-double of the season, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Both Carl Landry and K-Mart (background) are great additions to each team.

Well, by halftime I think Yao already had 10+ rebounds. His 17 points can be explained because most of them were FT's.

Rockets make it out of the Lake alive[10-0]

[9-0]Houston Rockets 112-103 Los Angeles Lakers[7-2]

This was THE closest game the Rockets have had this season. The Rockets started out well, but the Lakers showed no sign of giving up. Thanks to Shane Battier though, Kobe Bryant only had an 8 point first half. In the second half though, the Lakers took their first lead since the 1st quarter. Then, it was just bucket-trading between K-Mart and Kobe. However, both teams' defense were able to hold them both down. In the 4th, the Rockets had to pull out all the stops, because it seemed that every time they got ahead, Derek Fisher would always hit a 3 to tie the game. In the end, the Rockets pulled away due to some intentional fouls by the Lakers, and Scola took his first trip to the line this season (how does that happen?). K-Mart scored 41 points again, had 8 assists, and went 16-16 from the line! Andrew Bynum showed why he's the leader in RPG and had 22 rebounds.

Well, to get more competition, I put my shooting sliders to about 80 (90 before) and the CPU's to 60 (50 before). The Suns are next, but before I play them, I will post a 10-game summary (tomorrow maybe? I gotta go to sleep :shhh: ).

Another nice win, congrats on starting out 10-0. (Y) Sounds like the end-of-game logic screwed the CPU though, an all too familiar problem but also kind of a relief considering some of the stuff the CPU pulls at times.

Well, it's not like I was up by 10 and they were fouling me. I was up by about 3, when the fouls started, and they fouled the right people. Scola, whom was rusty at FT's, and Aaron Brooks who's I think 15th in the league in FT's made, but was cold that night at only 3/6.

If my next games are as much a challenge as the Lakers were, I could very well be facing my first defeat of the season. K-Mart has had some beasty games, he averages 31.1 ppg, which is second in the league.

Well take into account that some players are on teams that have played 11 or 12 maybe 13 games, but that's still a lot.

Depending on whether he's played 12 or 13 games, LeBron's making an average of 4.8 or 4.4 threes per game, while averaging either 10 or 9.2 attempts per game; that's a fair amount of threes! In the real NBA this year, Danny Granger and Aaron Brooks led the league with 2.6 threes made per game, with Granger attempting 7.1 per game and Brooks 6.4 per game. In reality, LeBron averaged 1.7 made per game with 5.1 attempts for a finally tally of 129/387 in 2009/2010, so he's definitely on pace to break that in your Dynasty. But that's the sim engine for you. ;)

The Suns have set [11-0]

[10-0] Houston Rockets 116-110 Phoenix Suns [8-3]

The Rockets continue to dominate, but this was no dominant game for the Rockets. It was atrocious from the start. They found their rhythm in the second half though, and came back from a 12 point deficit. Amar'e Stoudemire killed on the boards with 16, and Channing Frye had 13 of his own. Steve Nash also proved to be a blood sucking flea (no offense to Steve Nash, I'm sure he's a great guy in real life) and had 28 points and 13 assists, 6 were in the 1st quarter. In the 4th quarter though, it was all K-Mart. He made two clutch threes, and Yao Ming secured some offensive boards to seal the win and remain undefeated.

Rockets eat lunch with the Wolves [12-0]

[11-0] Houston Rockets 101-94 Minnesota T-Wolves [1-10]

Image
Come on, Jared, don't you think this is getting old?

The Rockets headed to Minnesota to hang out with the worst team in the league, though the score won't tell you so. It was a close game all the way, the Rockets struggled to score points, and who did the struggle stem from? Kevin Martin. He scored a season low 15 points. Chase Budinger was put to play in his place and scored a solid 9 points, but who really stepped up for K-Mart? Why it's none other than the modern day Hakeem Olajuwon, Yao Ming. He scored a season high 27 points, and was just one rebound shy of yet another double-double. The T-Wolves played strong though, with Al Jefferson and Kevin Love lovin' each other as players (no homo).

Yeah, now that I saw the league leaders again, he had 68 3pt made! He probably played 2-3 games though. Speaking of LeBron James, nice new avatar, did you use photoshop?

Hawks claw away at the Rockets [12-1]

[12-0] Houston Rockets 93-100 Atlanta Hawks [6-6]

All good things must come to an end. In this case, the Rockets' 12 game winning streak start. From the start, the Hawks looked dominant, shooting at over 60% FG in the first quarter. The Rockets however, struggled, and shot 27% in the 1st. The whole game seemed to be a comeback journey for the Rockets, and the refs didn't help at all whatsoever. Mike Bibby had just came back from injury and was solid with 19 points and 8 assists. Joe Johnson also had a good night with 25 points. Al Horford was the Sprite Performer of the Game with 17 points and 15 boards. But the SPOTG in my opinion should have been Kevin Martin. He scored a season high 46 points, and the Rockets just seemed to be a one man offensive team. Kevin Martin himself made a 9-0 run late in the 4th quarter, and it was that way the whole night. In the dying minutes, K-Mart once again hit a three to bring the Rockets within 3 (trailing by 23 in the 2nd quarter!). After a huge tongue-lashing by coach Rick Adelman at halftime, Kevin Martin came out in the second half determined to keep the streak alive, but lost focus in the possession that came after he made a clutch three. He received the inbound pass, but just barely crossed the backcourt, and that sealed the game for the Rockets as they were defeated for the first time this season.

Now the Rockets look to bounce back at home against the Sacramento Kings.

SPOTG-

Sucks though that it spoiled Martin's big night.
