February was a busy month for the Heat. They traded away one of the key reserves in Kyle Korver. They received Jeff Foster in the deal and quickly signed James White to a 5-year deal to make up for it. After three games for the Heat, James White is averaging 16.7 points while shooting over 50%. White wrapped up February by scoring 31 points against his former team - the Spurs. The Heat finished the month with a 4-1 record, which is fairly decent, even superb. As trade deadline got closer and closer and eventually passed, no trades were made. In March, the Heat have 4 games coming up with only one game against a above .500 team - cross-state rivals the Orlando Magic. On the 25th of March however, is the long waited match-up between All-Star William Sit and Carl Cruz. The game will be available to see on TNT.

Rookie Rankings - January Edition* Rookie leader. Only 2 best performances from now on, in order of my hyper-clever EC rating. (Efficiency+Contribution)1. Karl Peebo | Sacramento Kings | EC RATING : + 3.706 | 19.3 PPG |
10.6 RPG | 3.9 APG | 1.30 SPG |
1.96 BPG |
Peebo has become a double-double machine and has emerged as the teams leading scorer over Kevin Martin on several occasions. Crabman stole the ROTM honors, but Peebo has a better chance of winning the ROY award.

2. Albano Spagnoletti | Minnesota Timbervolwes | EC RATING : + 3.357| 19.1 PPG | 7.2 RPG | 4.6 APG| 1.39 SPG | 1.28 BPG |
The Argentinian is back to his regular form, but the Wolves are 2 games behind .500 and 0.5 games behind a playoff spot. The Wolves need more scoring from the rookie, a 51 points eruption he had earlier in the season would be nice. However, as the Heat hold the Wolves' first round pick, they would like to see the Wolves lose a couple of more games so they could draft their draft-favourite Michael Parmer.

3. Lenny Crabman | Memphis Grizzlies | EC RATING : + 3.326| 20.5 PPG | 4.7 RPG | 5.7 APG |

Crabman took the ROTM honors as he led the Grizzlies through February to put Memphis 2 games above .500 mark. He has increased his scoring and his overall play has become more consistent. He also won the Most Valuable Player award for his performance in the Rookie-Sophomore Challenge.

The Aussie is still scoring, but the wins just don't come for the Knicks. Sitting second from the bottom, the Knicks are 99% out of the Playoffs and will look to get some young pieces during the summer to build a supporting cast around Sit. Sit has become the Knicks franchise player and Donnie Walsh has big hopes for the youngster. The Knicks also have some free money in the summer, as they couldn't lure Lebron James into town.
