Not as bad as my Zach Randolph getting a broken foot and out for 6 weeks :shake: AND Shareef Abdur-Rahim out for 9 days :shake:

Good Luck without him (Y)

Troy Murphy better continue his "dominance"

That will actually be good, considering I went 12-18 at teh beginning before I traded for BD... :o

Problem is, my backup PGs are JR Bremer and Bryce Drew...

Troy will have trouble making his 18 footers without BD dissing him for open looks... :?

guess you should have heeded to my advice and got a "decent" backup PG....Bremer and Drew are nice....as 3rd string PG's, but are a stretch at backup PG, unless you have a guy like Bobby Sura on the bench who can play at PG as well.... good luck without B-Diddy, you'll need it....

I might use Phil's triangle and use Kapono at point... although that might backfire given Jason's dubious handle...

In my Nuggets Dynasty, when Melo got injured, I put Camby at C, Nene at PF, K-Mart at SF, Lenard at SG and Miller at PG. Try a big man rotation, it will give the opposition a handful/

That's different from missing a PG. I need a ball handler to play there, even if he's out of position... :?

MARCH 13, 2005

GAME OF THE DAY:

SACRAMENTO 108HOUSTON 117 (Tracy McGrady 15pts – 7ast – 4rebs – 3stl – 10/14 FGs – 33mins)

MARCH 14, 2005

THE GAME: GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS vs. HOUSTON ROCKETS

ImageImage

With the longest road trip of the season finally over, the Warriors return to the Oakland Arena to face the always mis-match dangerous Houston Rockets , without their best player, Baron Davis. A lot was expected of Jason Richardson on offense with his backcourt mate absent, and the 6’ 6” swingman did not disappoint. He scored his team’s first 6 points and pretty much had his man-markers’ number throughout the first quarter. With some help from Luke Walton and Troy Murphy in both scoring and rebounding, Golden State went up 30 – 23 in the first, with only Mike James being a legitimate threat for the opposition. The Rockets would go in stronger and more focused in the second, however, and spearheaded by Mike James and Tracy McGrady on offense managed to even up the score few minutes after the start of the period. With Dikembe Mutombo patrolling the lane and altering shots even at age 39, and with Juwan Howard grabbing every loose ball after missed shots, the score at the half was only 43 – 41 for Golden State.
It was pretty close in the third quarter, as well, with Jason Richardson carrying the mantle for the home side, and a combined effort by McGrady, Yao Ming and Howard to match his scoring basket for basket. J-Rich was in a one man show, but still had enough left in the tank to help the Warriors to a 64-62 lead going into the final period. In the fourth quarter, Richardson kept on putting the ball in the basket at will, seemingly tireless, but had no help from his teammates other than sporadic contributions by Kaman, Murphy and Walton. With David Wesley having a scoring spree near the end, the Rockets got the lead for the first time, 80-83 with 2 minutes to go, but J-Rich would have none of it and would single-handedly tie the game at 86 apiece to force overtime.
In the extra period, it was still close with neither team able to shake loose from the other… It was not all defense however… Basket would ensue basket and fast break would follow fast break, with Richardson and Murphy carrying the load for the Warriors, all the while T-Mac was keeping Houston in the game. In the end, it took a missed 6 foot turnaround baseline jumper by Juwan Howard at the buzzer to ensure that
Golden State had won this game, 99-97.

Indeed... (Y) But there's always room for wishful thinking...

next game is at Phoenix, so I don't know if I can make it 41... :?:

He played for two, that's true. He picked up the slack, let's hope he can go back-to-back.

Lol nice rhyming. I was thinking you could almost go with J-Rich as point, hes got decent handles and maybe shift Mike down or something.

Thanks... The Suns will be a tough nut to crack... :!:

I thought of it, but putting him at point will leave me with noone who can create his own chances to score... :|

I think I'll just use the triangle and have Bremer move around from open looks. Murph is a good passer from the post, it might work. :D

Muggsy is having his vacation in New Zealand at the moment... plus he's 20 pounds overweight. No more action for him..
