MAn, really nice final scouting report, I can't wait for next season. That little story you wrote about me was very amusing. :)

yep, every NLSC-er has their story....I usually try to tie in your nationality, the college you choose, your age, height, etc to make something interesting....yours was actually quite easy considering you gave me a Division 2 college to work with

hmm...not sure....will just check....although you're likely going to go in the 8-14 range I'd say as you are the 11th rank prospect....

can't be sure of the actual draft order due to draft lottery not happenning until the offseason....but based on records, the lottery looks something like this....

1. Atlanta - G- Chris Paul (No. 1 prospect)
2. LA Clippers - F- Andrea Bargnani (No. 2 prospect)
3. New Jersey - G- Deron Williams (No. 3 prospect)
4. Chicago - F- LaMarcus Aldridge (No. 5 prospect)
5. Golden State - G/F- Adam Morrison (No. 4 prospect)
6. Cleveland - F/C- Josh Boone (No. 6 prospect)
7. Toronto - G- Raymond Felton (No. 8 prospect)
8. Seattle - F- Shelden Williams (No. 7 prospect)
9. Milwaukee - F- Sean May (No. 10 prospect)
10. New Orleans - F- Ike Diogu (No. 12 prospect)
11. Phoenix - G- Sam Anurak (No. 11 prospect)
12. Philadelphia - G/F- Rodney Carney (No. 9 prospect)
13. Utah - G- Flo Ruf (No. 14 prospect)
14. Portland - F/G- Cyriel Klitsie (No. 13 prospect)

lottery hasn't been so it's hard to know what the movements will do....but it should be interesting either way

BOBCATS SEASON OVER, SECURE 7th SEED

Here is the last 3 games of the 2006/07 season.

Apr 14, 2007 - Charlotte 102 vs Miami 111 [HUMAN GAME]

This game was close throughout and was not decided until the final minute as the Heat pulled through in the clutch and made some key free throws. This was a big win for the Heat, especially considering these teams are likely to meet either in the 1st or 2nd Round. The loss drops the Bobcats to 28-28 with 2 games to play. There were strong games from Okafor and Dumars, but they were not enough to stop the might and power of the Diesel.

BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Dumars 2pts, Arenas 1pt

Apr 15, 2007 - Charlotte 71 @ Philadelphia 110 [INTERVENTION GAME]

The night after a tough loss to division rival Miami Heat, the Bobcats were forced to travel to Philly and face the playoff-hungry 76ers, who were still in the hunt for the playoffs. The result was a shameless 39 point drubbing as the team fell below .500 to 28-29. I intervened down by 24 points and decided to pull the starters out to make sure no one got injured going into the post-season. Scrubs got destroyed by Iverson and Iggy. NLSC-er Mark Moore seemed to have a good game, although he didn't look that impressive in the 4th quarter as he had seemingly cooled down by then.

BPMM Points: Arenas 3pts, Okafor 2pts, Walton 1pt

Apr 23, 2007 - Charlotte 100 @ Portland 75 [SIMMED GAME]

Cocobee's Portland Trailblazers had a chance to clinch the 8th playoff berth if they had of won this game. Unfortunately we killed them and the Lakers took the 8th seed out West on a tiebreaker. A dominant performance by Emeka Okafor and the fact the 'Cats held the Blazers to only 7 3rd quarter points was the difference in this one. If it's any consolation to Cocobee, he did have one of his best games of the season in this one, which shows a lot about the lack of minutes he got this season. Let's hope for better things for Cocobee in his sophomore year. This win moves the team back to .500 as the Charlotte Bobcats finish the season with a 29-29 record. This was good enough to earn the 7th seed out East and means a matchup with Division rivals and champions, Miami Heat.

BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Dumars 2pts, Van Exel 1pt

enjoy

He played on Andrew bogut's under whatever team! They won together!!! Now hes ROY and sixth man in the NBL and he won All-star MVP!

OWNERS HAPPY BUT THERE IS A REASON FOR CONCERN

The owner seemed pretty happy with the team's inaugural playoff berth. Let's hope he keeps his predictions realistic for the young Bobcats.

In what appears to be devastating news for the team heading into the playoffs, it was reported that star sub Nene suffered a strained achilles tendon which will sideline him for about 2 weeks, including probably the 1st few games of their playoff series against the Miami Heat.

This is a potentially devastating loss as the Bobcats face none other than the most dominant big man ever in Shaquille O'Neal in the 1st Round. Nene was expected to play a key role in helping to contain Shaq. Now it will place more pressure on starters Emeka Okafor and Guy Dumars to play bigger minutes and try to keep out of foul trouble. Rarely used backups Udonis Haslem and Tiago Splitter will be relied on to provide help and their 6 fouls in an effort to stop the big man.

Hopefully i end up playing for New Orleans. Phoenix, Philly and Milwaukee are just too talented and i won't end up gettin minutes.

Quentin Richardson
Andre Igoudala
Michael Redd

oh, okay....I don't place much stock in NBL players....quality guys like Matt Nielsen can't get looks into the NBA....how old is he/when does he turn 22? maybe I could include him in next year's draft, which would be the year Bogut would be a senior at Utah (remember I'm working a year behind due to my year of generics like "That Guy")

trust me, you don't want to end up on the Hornets team....a certain JR Smith is the starting SG and his understudy is a certain Antoine Wright, their 1st Round pick from last year

I'm guessing you've just putting a layer over the top of the original pic

Yeah basically I had to cut a section out of the head part of the mask as Flash seems to have a big head.

'MEKA WINS THIRD STRAIGHT TEAM MVP

With a total of 83 points, Emeka Okafor has won his 3rd straight Bobby Phills Memorial Medallion for the 2006/07 season. In what was the awards closest ever race, Okafor didn't secure this year's award until the very last game of the season, where he beat out Gilbert Arenas' 79 points. Both Emeka Okafor and Gilbert Arenas earned All-Star honours this past season. Mrs. Phills, Bobby Phills' widow, was once again on hand to present Okafor with the award on what proved to b another emotional night in Charlotte.

Okafor was once again heads above the rest

The final standings at the conclusion of the 2006/07 season were:

1st - F/C- Emeka Okafor (83pts)
2nd - G- Gilbert Arenas (79pts)
3rd - C- Guy Dumars (40pts)
4th - F/G- Bobby Simmons (37pts)
5th - F/C- Nene (25pts)
6th - G- Marko Jaric (17pts)
6th - F- Luke Walton (17pts)
8th - G- Nick Van Exel (16pts)
9th - G- Andrew "The X" Watson (13pts)
10th - F/C- Tiago Splitter (10pts)
11th - F/G- Gerald Wallace (7pts)
12th - G/F- Kyle Korver (3pts)
13th - G- Luther Head (1pt)

Congrats to Emeka Okafor, the 2006/07 winner of the Bobby Phills Memorial Medallion.

:applaud:

Beautiful! Clap Clap to X for coming... 9th

I hope there's no sarcasm in that comment :( last year I got 8th :( and the fact is that I had all my points registered by Christmas '06....once I got moved to the bench, that was the end of my BPMM scoring :( I'm a free agent so it'll be interesting to see what sort of $$$'s I can command  it's gonna be funny when I try to lowball myself

I've had plenty of recaps over the last couple of days, but now I'm back to work tomorrow, there probably won't be another update in the next day or two....I'll get to April recap and playoff previews sometime over the long weekend (Queen's Birthday is good for something 8-) )....

discussions as always will continue....how will the loss of Nene affect my chances of getting out of the 1st Round?!? :(

as a quick NLSC update....

NLSC-ers who will compete in the post-season:
The X (Charlotte) - backup SG (an upcoming free agent who will probably doesn't figure to get too many minutes as the Bobcats cut back their rotation to 8 or 9)
Honor Glow (Houston) - starting SG (he's finally getting big minutes as I predicted)
Seraph (LA Lakers) - starting PG (8th seed will and 1st Round matchup with the Kings)
Sit (Orlando) - 3rd string PG (doesn't figure to play much in playoffs, and situation seems to be staying the same next season so after we see what happens with Magic in off-season, I'll probably be open to having Sit dealt to a new team or someone like Jameer Nelson is dealt....as long as the deal is right of course)
Melo (Washington) - 3rd string SG (although Murray, Hayes and Dixon are all free agents so I'm expecting more time to open up for Melo in his 2nd year so he'll probably stay put)

NLSC-ers who will be finishing this May:
Cocobee (Portland) - 2nd guard off the bench (his status depends on whether the Blazers resign Stoudamire or not as he might be in line for a starting job, so he might be staying put)
Micchy_boy (Milwaukee) - backup SG (Erick Strickland is a free agent, we'll see what the Bucks do in the off-season, but he's doing alright)
Mark #6 (Philadelphia) - starting PG (he's got to be happy playing next to AI)
P. Watson (LA Clippers) - 3rd string PG (he's my brother so he can stay put and ride the pine  )
jxuusa (Seattle) - backup SG (not getting many minutes as a backup although Ridnour is a free agent....watch this space)
Dweaver (Phoenix) - backup C (is now a free agent, so who knows if he'll resign or not....I think Suns will resign him....if not, he could end up anywhere....getting good minutes in Phoenix, but we'll see)

that's all for now....

I was thinking Green Lantern but I'm still not sure....fill me in on who Professor X is

EDIT: I just remembered that Professor X is from X-Men....nah, I don't wanna be the captain from Star Trek Voyager  Professor X is one of the characters I least like in X-Men

yep, your team really could use some inside help....Kenny Thomas just wasn't getting it done....the team can only go so far on the backs of the Answer, Iggy and yourself....a prospect such as Sean May may help, but not enough I don't think....free agency or trades have to be the goer to improve this aspect....maybe they should deal Joshua Fowles now that you have surpassed him in the rotation....

Yeah I think they should ofr a decent big man, its gonna happen aint it X??
