Big Ups for the coverage michhy (Y) !

well nah, maybe 80-2  .
honestly my 1st season, its realistic but never pattern it to the real Lakers game results...
and if in this season, i win the 1st few games, i will tweak my slider to make it harder an lose some game...
don't worry im a guy who like realism

Okay, I'm with you on this but if you make TOO realistic , there won't be a title in LA for the next 7 years or so... Sometimes you have to stray a bit away from real life to get some fun... Keep up the good work, and try not to trash the Warriors when you play them again... :)

well, NLSC Ballers rookie rank was base on how they prefer team finished in the 1st season so just like me im at put myself top 20 coz Lakers finished in the middle of the pack.

NBA Draft 2005

Image

Welcome to the 2005 NBA Draft, today he will see another draft class that will produce the future superstars of NBA. Now lets welcome David Stern to official begins the 2005 NBA Draft by announcing this year no. 1 pick overall.

Image

A popular Philippine sports columnist and broadcaster for more than 30 years, Joaquin Henson will analyze how each team picks in this draft. Nicknamed "The Dean" for his scholarly approach to the game,

1st ROUND

Stern: “With the 1st pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls select Chris Taft of University of Pittsburg.”

1. Chicago: PF- Chris Taft (Rating = 77)

Image
“No matter who Bulls selects, they are definitely a winner in this draft. I think they get what they really need. Bulls already have the backcourt they want and now they add a big guy to help Curry and Chandler inside. Bulls fans hope he’s the player that will bring the Bulls back to the playoffs.”

Stern: “With the 2nd pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Bobcats select Rommel Ritarita of VA Beach, Virginia.”

2. Charlotte: PG- Rommel Ritarita (Rating = 64)

Image
“The Bobcats get one of the top 3 players of this draft. With Ritarita directing offense for the Bobcats, we will see great things for this ballclub. He and Okafor will create another guard-big man duo.”

Stern: “With the 3rd pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Seattle Supersonics select Chris Paul of Wake Forest University.”

3. Seattle: PG- Chris Paul (Rating = 72)

Image
“The Sonics moving from 9th place to 3rd draft make them an early winner. They pick Chris Paul who will all know will be a star PG in this league in the future. But I think a big man would be better pick for the Sonics esp. this team lacks quality big man. Paul will be sharing PT with Luke Ridnour and Antonio Daniels, a situation that will hinder this young talent to develop.”

Stern: “With the 4th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors select Rihards Gromuls of Saldus, Latvia.”

4. Golden State: SF- Rihards Gromuls, (Rating = 66)

Image
“Another pick that don’t make sense to me. The Warriors already have an upcoming star in Dunleavy and a center is what they really need. Jing Xu and Andrew Bogut are still available but they elected to pick a player with great talent than what they really need.”

Stern: “With the 5th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Clippers select Josh Arbuthnot of Calgary, Canada.”

5. LA Clippers: SF- Josh Arbuthnot (Rating = 64)

Image
“This maybe one of the best pick the Clippers did in a long while. In the past they always get players with almost identical with what they have. With this pick, they get a player that will help them with the no. 3 spot. With Magette playing with Arbuthnot the wings, these young Clippers will be fun to watch this season.”

Stern: “With the 6th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors select Andrew Bogut of University of Utah.”

6. Toronto: C- Andrew Bogut, (Rating = 71)

Image
“The Raptors were hoping either Gromuls or Arbuthnot will still be available for the no.6 pick. Hoping either one of them will replace the high flying skill of Air Canada. But Raps really need a big man to help their future star Bosh down the post. Either Bogut or Xu will be great addition for the Raptors. But they think Bogut will give the strength and hustler down low.”

Stern: “With the 7th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Atlanta Hawks select Jing Xu of AnPing, China.”

7. Atlanta: C- Jing Xu (Rating = 69)

Image
“We knew they will get the most talented big man in the draft. Luckily Xu was still available when they pick. With a frontcourt of Xu, Walker and Harrington, this team looks impressive on paper. Now its how this trio and supporting cast will play this season.”

Stern: “With the 8th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the New Jersey Nets select Tiago Splitter of Brazil.”

8. New Jersey: PF- Tiago Splitter (Rating = 68)

Image
“Another team hoping to get a rookie to replace a good player they let goes last season. Splitter may not be the next K-Mart but still give the inside player this team need. Just imagine Kidd with 2 great swing men in RJ and Carter plus a power forward in Splitter. A center and good bench will let this team back in the playoffs.”

Stern: “With the 9th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz select Cyriel Klitsie of Breda, Netherlands.”

9. Utah: PG- Cyriel Klitsie (Rating = 69)

Image
“Cyriel Klitsie maybe the 2nd best point guard behind Chris Paul in the draft. But with Arroyo and Eisley on this team, I wonder how many minutes this guy will play this season. A bigger guard to play shooting guard is what the Jazz really need.”

Stern: “With the 10th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select Ersan Ilyasova of Turkey.”

10. Milwaukee: SF- Ersan Ilyasova (Rating = 65)

Image
“With Keith Van Horn testing the free agent market, the Bucks tried to get a player to replace him though they still hoping to sign Van Horn. This guy will help Bucks to strengthen their frontcourt.”

Stern: “With the 11th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the New Orleans Hornets select Marvin Williams of University of North Carolina.”

11. New Orleans: SF- Marvin Williams (Rating = 65)

Image
“A great pick for the Hornets. They got a player to replace Mashburn at the small forward position. This guy is a very talented young player and I’m surprise the 1st 10 team never pick him. Just wait for the season to start and he will see great things for this guy.”

Stern: “With the 12th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Washington Wizards select Martynas Andriuskevicius of Lithuania.”

12. Washington: C- Martynas Andriuskevicius (Rating = 63)

Image
“With the trio of Jamison, Hughes and Arenas doing wonder for the Wizards plus the improved play of Brown, we knew Wizards will use their pick for a center. They got a huge one in Martynas Andriuskevicius. Though they got I minor problem and that’s how to put his name at the back of his Wizards jersey.”

Stern: “With the 13th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Portland Trailblazers select Nemanja Aleksandrov of Serbia.”

13. Portland: SF- Nemanja Aleksandrov (Rating = 62)

Image
“Last year, the Blazers drafted 3 foreign players, only 1 players played for them and was a non-factor throughout the season. Now they hope Aleksandrov will be a better pick this time around. This young player will back-up Darius Miles at the small forward position.”

Stern: “With the 14th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Phoenix Suns select Matthew Cava of Brooklyn, New York.”

14. Phoenix: C- Matthew Cava (Rating = 63)

Image
“This is a good pick for the Suns. The suns will still used the same lineup they used last year, starting Amare’ at center. But now, they will have a quality player backing up him. Not to mention playing this 2 at the same time will give Nash so many options.”

Stern: “With the 15th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers select Silva Biason out of the Madrid, Spain.”

15. Philadelphia: SG- Silva Biason (Rating = 64)

Image
“Sixers was happy to see Biason still available when it’s their time to pick. Maybe the no.1 pure off-guard in this draft, Biason showcase his deadly shooting during the rookie camp will be a great player to play along side Allen Iverson. Though his little undersize for his position, he will see great thing with this player.”

Stern: “With the 16th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers select Mark Moore of Ashburton, New Zealand.”

16. Cleveland: PG- Mark Moore (Rating = 62)

Image
“Another wasted pick, and maybe another wasted talent like Skita and Darko. The Cavs already have quality point guards in McInnis and Snow, not to mention King James can also play point guard, I wonder how he will fit in this team. I hope the Cavs have plan for this talented guy.”

Stern: “With the 17th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic select Joshua Carr of Kansas City.”

17. Orlando: PG- Joshua Carr (Rating = 60)

Image
“The Magic got a talented player in Joshua Carr. Carr will to share minutes with Francis and Nelson at the point, though he might see Francis playing more minutes at no.2 spot to give this both Nelson and Carr enough minutes to showcase their talents.”

Stern: “With the 18th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies select Desmond Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee.”

18. Memphis: PG- Desmond Jackson (Rating = 63)

Image
“This could be a sentimental pick for the Griz, picking hometown hero Desmond Jackson. But I think they needed a backup point guard with Griz unable to re-sign Earl Watson. Jerry West already proved he knows which player has great potential and West think Jackson was one of them.”

Stern: “With the 19th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, Houston Rockets select Frankie Yan of Hong Kong.”

19. Houston: PG- Frankie Yan (Rating = 62)

Image
“The Rockets picked the smallest player in the draft, a 5’5” point guard. That’s how desperate this team in finding a point guard. Yan used great speed and quick hand to make up for his lack of height. In the rookie camp, he was a crowd favorite as he plays just like Earl Boykins, a small guy with big heart.”

Stern: “With the 20th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers select Russel Santos of Paranaque, Phillipines.”

20. LA Lakers: PF- Russel Santos (Rating = 62)

Image
“The Lakers badly needs a point guard but think all quality point guards were already been pick. They also need a center and with Reyes and Dela Cruz available, I wonder why they didn’t pick one of them. Instead they picked Santos, a power forward that plays just like Brian Cook though the Lakers esp. Coach Phil thinks he play more like Kukoc in during his Bulls day”

Stern: “With the 21st pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Denver Nuggets select Rashad McCants of University of North Carolina.”

21. Denver: SG- Rashad McCants (Rating = 67)

Image
“The Nuggets get what they want and what they need. They were happy to see teams not picking Rashad McCants. He’s a great shooting guard that will compliment a core of Dre, ‘Melo, K-mart and Camby.”

Stern: “With the 22nd pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Miami Heat select Leo Reyes of Argentina.”

22. Miami: C- Leo Reyes (Rating = 64)

Image
“Heat picked another big man to join an already formidable frontcourt. But with Shaq playing majority of the minutes at center, Reyes will play most of his time at the court as a power forward. What a scary frontcourt that will be.”

Stern: “With the 23rd pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves select Honor Glow of Torrance, California.”

23. Minnesota: SG- Honor Glow (Rating = 62)

Image
“This was an insurance pick for the Wolves. With both Sprewell and Cassell becoming older and injury-prone, Wolves get a player to help them in that position. With Glow at the line-up, both players will be able to play less minutes throughout the season and be effective in playoffs.”

Stern: “With the 24th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the New York Knicks select Alvin Dela Cruz of Cavite City, Philippines.”

24. New York: C- Alvin Dela Cruz (Rating = 60)

Image
“I was surprised to see 23 teams not picking this guy. He is one of the big and huge player to enter the draft since Shaq. Maybe teams knew this guy will be a huge project since he’s offensive skill was limited and still not ready for the big league. But the Knicks willing to take that gamble and hoping it will payoff in the future.”

Stern: “With the 25th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics select Gerald Green of Oklahoma State.”

25. Boston: SG- Gerald Green (Rating = 61)

Image
“Celtics decided to pick a shooting guard in Gerald Green than big man like Petro or Vasquez. Green will need to work his way up with Tony Allen and Welsch both plays backup for Celtics franchise player; Paul Pierce.”

Stern: “With the 26th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Dallas Mavericks select Fran Vazquez of Spain.”

26. Dallas: PF- Fran Vazquez (Rating = 58)

Image
“Mavs were lucky to pick this guy; Vasquez will give another big body for a team already talented at the wing. He will back up both Dampier and Nowitzki and we think we will do a great job with that.”

Stern: “With the 27th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the San Antonio Spurs select Joey Graham of Oklahoma State University.”

27. San Antonio: SF- Joey Graham (Rating = 60)

Image
“With Bowen almost over the hill the defending champs got a player to replace him in the future. A great small forward that will only make this great team even better. He is lucky playing along Duncan, parker and Manu and a great coach in Popovich, expect great thing from this guy”

Stern: “With the 28th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers select Raymond Felton of University of North Carolina.”

28. Indiana: PG- Raymond Felton (Rating = 60)

Image
“Pacers got a player to help Tinsley playing the point. Last season, Pacers struggles every time Tinsley got injured but now with Felton on they team, this team will be a team to beat this year.”

Stern: “With the 29th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons select Johan Petro of France.”

29. Detroit: C- Johan Petro (Rating = 60)

Image
“Pistons adds another big man to help the Wallace’s’. He will become Darko best buddy at the bench all year long.”

Stern: “With the 30th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings select Andrew Watson of .”

30. Sacramento: Andrew Watson (Rating = 58)

Image
“Kings already have an offensive scoring team, now they add a great player in Andrew Watson.”

2nd ROUND

VC Russ Granik will be announcing the players selected in the 2nd round.

31. LA Lakers (from Charlotte): SF- Hakim Warrick (Rating = 58)
32. Chicago: SF-Rodney Carney, (Rating = 62)
33. Phoenix (from Golden State): PF- Vladimir Vereemenko (Rating = 58)
34. LA Clippers: SG Rudy Fernandez (Rating = 62)
35. Toronto: PG- Kennedy Winston (Rating = 57)
36. Atlanta: PG- Daniel Ewing (Rating = 54)
37. New Jersey: PF- Josh Boone (Rating = 58)
38. Utah: SG- Antoine Wright (Rating = 59)

nice draft coverage, and you used Joaquin "Quinito" Henson to analyze the picks... i remember him doing the play by play coverage of the Philippine Basketball Association before, is he still doing it today?

anyway back to the topic, the 2nd overall pick was only a 64 rating? interesting, i wonder what was the attribute that urged charlotte to pick him second? was it his passing ability? no offence to ritarita, but i was just wondering.

one correction micchy, it's bobcats not hornets.. besides that everything is perfect. (Y)

thanks bro...
about turiaf, dont know him that much, honestly i dont much about all the rookies.
again thanks and also i hope to see some update from your dynasty...

well maybe it got something to do with rookie scouting...
all 2nd rounder prospect i scouted 3 times (off, def and atl) while 1st rounder 6 times (twice of each category) and the top 5, 9 times

The Future wrote:I got picked 14th, not bad not bad  Hope I get playing time

i put you on the top 15 rookies since the Suns was in about that rank...
Amare will still be the starting C for the Suns so you'll be a backup for a while...

Honestly other team picked you but you demanded a trade ala-Shaq
Seriously you been drafted higher but dbf edit it so you will be in your favorite team.

thanks bro.
yes, he's still doing the play by play in PBA and he cover the last All-Star in Denver. he's one of the best in here not only about basketball but also boxing and other sports.

well honestly i change some of the draft order, put the players on their prefer team. kinda unrealistic but thats how i plan this dynasty right from the very start. coco want to be in charlotte so i put him in there though i never edit his stats, honestly all stats were untouch only the draft order and only with NLSC Ballers.

and thanks about the hornets-bobcats team, i already edit it. i still prefer the charlotte hornets though.

NO!!! i cant' change that  just kidding.
well as i said you were picked by Bobcats and that would be a great frontcourt with Emeka.
But i think it's okey with you rather being in Sacramento

well its a random rating
again thanks for the great warrick patch...
he'll be in my dynasty esp he's a lakers

Lakers Keep Quiet

LOS ANGELES -- With Lakers already have 15 players under contract and the team way over the salary cap, the Lakers were unable to participate during this time of the off-season. They will try to improve their line-up come trading period begins.

Ray Allen led some of the marquee players testing the free agents market. Also players like Grant Hill, Larry Hughes and Keith Van Horn are some of the players every team wants in their line-ups. While teams like Charlotte Bobcats and Atlanta Hawks were among the favorites to get this players with lots of money to offer.

Below are the Top 20 players in the free-gent market:

With the free agency signing period ends, lets breakdown what happen and how some team try to improve their team.

1. Big name players like Ray Allen, Larry Hughes, and Bonzi Wells all re-signed to their mother team.
2. Keith Van Horn chose Atlanta Hawks over his former team Milwaukee Bucks. But the Bucks got a winner in Grant Hill.
3. Bobcats failed to sign players like Van Horn and Hill decided to snatch Vladimir Radmanovic and Vitaly Potapenko from the Seattle Supersonics

Below are the complete transactions of all free agents signing:
