Surprising loss to the below-.500 Sixers, but at least you beat the Cavs. (Don't like them, never will. :P)

Martin held out his hand to Brad. Halstead got up, and walked away, and sat down farther along the bleachers.

Well, once it happens/doesn't happen, make sure you inform us of your prediction.

Uhm, yeah, Mo isn't LeBron James, so of course they're not gonna be winning.

So far, Thunder seems to not be working. They are 15-15.

They snuck up on me there. They are the best rebounding team in the league in this dynasty, so offensive rebounding helped them good.

Martti., after facing the Cavs, I can see why you don't like them.

Deron Williams gives me frustration, but the others are pure scrubs that are easy to handle, except for maybe Jason and Sean.

Similar to what Lamrock does in his association, I'm doing trades for the CPU. Basically, the reason for this is because it makes it more realistic, helps to stack the other teams' rosters, and because every trade the CPU makes are pure garbage.

RedNation News Article

Around the League: Many Trades

The trade deadline is a month away, but already teams have begun to make their moves to try to make a huge push towards the playoffs. Three trades have happened this week, all for the better of each team. Below are the trades, what us at RedNation think about them, and the overall rating of the trades:

Charlotte Acquires Diener, Zimmerman from Portland.
All season long, Charlotte has had only one point guard, DJ Augustin. After losing Raymond Felton to Sacramento, the Bobcats have finally acquired a decent point guard to back-up Augustin. In this trade, the Bobcats send Paul Millsap, whom they acquired last year from Utah, to Portland in exchange for Travis Diener and rookie Jon Zimmerman.

With Augustin expected to return within a week from a broken nose, Travis Diener is likely to start in Charlotte for now. Jon Zimmerman, a Uruguay-born player, was drafted 40th overall by Portland out of Purdue, the same college that fellow Rocket Gregory Costa attended, and is an excellent rebounding Small Forward, similar to his Purdue teammate. Paul Millsap heads to Portland as back-up to LaMarcus Aldridge, as he will be a huge defensive presence off the bench when Aldridge takes a breather. He was not seeing many minutes in Charlotte behind Carl Landry in the rotation, and sources say he wasn't getting along with teammate Stephen Jackson. Overall, it can be said both teams benefit equally, but defensively, Portland gets the huge nod.

Cleveland Gets their Desired Big Man
With the departure of their star King, Cleveland has had to fend for themselves this season. They've done pretty well, they are in the playoff picture, and a few games under .500, but they've lacked size in their frontcourt, having to start JJ Hickson at Center. No more. In a deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, they've acquired a legitimate big man, while loosening up their big jam of guards.

In this deal, Iranian 7-footer Hamed Haddadi heads to Cleveland, in exchange for Anthony Parker. The benefit for Cleveland has already been stated, but the benefit for Memphis is not obvious. The Grizzlies lacked guards, only having Michael Conley, OJ Mayo, and Jason Williams, whom they signed earlier this season. Now, Parker comes to Memphis as a solid back-up for Mayo, as he can provide some efficient outside shooting, and also the Grizzlies get rid of a big man, something they had an abundance of before the trade.

Amir Heads to Texas
Simlar to the Bobcats, the San Antonio Spurs have only been playing an aging Tim Duncan at Power Forward for the whole season. Sources say that he has complained a little about him not being able to take the 38 minutes a game he's averaging now. With the arrival of a young forward Amir Johnson from Orlando, Duncan's complaints will be no more.

With a bunch of guards, San Antonio for some reason signed Allen Iverson in the off-season. Now, he heads to Orlando, as their star Point Guard Jameer Nelson is expected to miss the rest of the regular season with a hyper-extended knee. Iverson comes in as back-up to Mickael Pietrus, whom was forced to take the Point Guard slot with Nelson's absence. This trade basically saved fatigue for both teams, as now the Magic have a reliable back-up scorer in Allen Iverson and the Spurs can rely on Amir Johnson to back-up Tim Duncan. On the positive side, both players have expiring contracts, so if they don't quite work out for their teams, they might not get re-signed.

Magic Trade Grade: B+

Overall, these trades did not involve any superstarts or big names, which is why not one team had an A grade. A lot of rumors are still flying around, and with the trade deadline nearing, some of them are bound to come true.

Questions, comments, concerns? Post them below!

I'd grade the Blazers higher on the Millsap acquisition. Pretty good trade by the Magic and Spurs too.

IRL, K-Mart doesn't play any defense, but in this dynasty, Shane Battier's hard nosed defense has rubbed off on him.
