haha....go The X

it will be ironic if I'm backing up Kobe on the Lakers

nice work with coverage....I would normally say take Warrick if he's available at your pick, but you're stocked at SF, so take a punt on me, if I fall :o

also, just a query about my cyberface....it looks a helluva lot better than the one I've got in my dynasty....have you edited it/adjusted it as it looks a lot more like me....if you have, then pls let me know and email it to me also at just_x@ihug.com.au

hmm....it looks like I got a flavour savour in that pic....did you use my group pic with mates b4 Big Day Out to make that one?!?

either way, great work and let me know about that cyberface....

nope, I didn't go to BDO on the Gold Coast this year....I missed out on a ticket as they sold out over a month before and I, along with many others I know, missed out

the pic I was talking about was taken in Auckland with my mates in NZ before the 2004 BDO....Metallica played at that one which was good....however the depth of the lineup was nothing like this year's one, which makes it more disappointing I missed it :(

oh and Micchyboy, let me know about The X's cyberface that is better than the one in my dynasty

Lakers Re-signs George

Image
George will still be the main guy off the
bench for the Lakers.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. July 12 -- The Los Angeles Lakers have signed free agent guard Devean George to a contract, it was announced today by General Manager Mitch Kupchak. Per team policy terms of the contract were not released.

George, who has been a free agent since July 1, opted out of the final year of his previous contract at the conclusion of the 2004-05 season.

"We're very pleased to have signed Devean," Kupchak said. "He is talented player and every year he has made improvements to his game. He's a player that should continue to improve and we expect him to be a solid contributor for years to come."

George, a 6’8” forward/guard was by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round (23rd overall) of the 1999 NBA Draft and Re-signed with the Lakers on last 3 years ago. He was a member of the Lakers 3 NBA Championship teams.

Last season, George averaged 6.2 points and 1.6 rebounds amd 1.1 assists in 49 games coming off the bench and helped the Lakers advance to the NBA Conference Semifinals.

The contract Devean George accepted.

According to a source, George and his agent didn’t accept the 1st 2 contract offers the Lakers gave. The 1st one was a almost 3-year 16.5M (5.5M per year), less than half a million George wanted. They rejected the contract and Lakers again said another offer. This time it’s a 3-year 16.95M, but again it was rejected. George agent said that they want more money or shorter length of contract. The 3rd and final contract was a 2-year 11.51M contract.

Lakers also announced that they will not going to re-sign Shandon Anderson. With too many small forward in the team, Anderson was the odd man out.

"We would like to thank Shandon have done for the team, he’s a great player and we like to have in our team," Kupchak said. "But with the situation of our team, we really need to unload players esp. in small forward position. I know there are teams would like to have him on their team and we know he will be great help for the team."

Bobbitt: Lakers No More

Image
Bobbitt will try to find a new home this
season.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. July 19 -- The Los Angeles Lakers announced today that they were unable to come into terms with Tony Bobbitt.

“We have no plan on letting Tony go; he is young and talented player. But we’re not ready to commit on a player for a long period of time. We just can’t give him the long contract he and his agent want,” Said GM Kupchak.

Lakers have offers lot of offer to Bobbitt, even more money for a shorter contract. But Tony and his agent really want a 7- year deal. In the end, Bobbitt refused to make anymore deal with the Lakers.

“Well I hope he can find a new team that will give him that kind of a contract, well he and his agent need a lot of luck to get one,” Said Kupchak.

Excellent! That's a very original idea (Y)

I'm glad because you create two Spanish players, Rudy Fernández and Fran Vázquez. Only a thing, it's Vazquez, not Vasquez.

Good luck with your dynasty!

well i just group all projected 1st rounder into 4 groups, and played only the NLSC teams since those have their own cyberface.
