Oh yeah. Forgot about the first round set-up. Now you'll have to win it in Denver, which hasn't been a problem so far.

well its a toss-up because denver was beating me at home as well.

i have a feeling that it wont be easy winning in denver although you have already won two there

yea, most of the games during the series have been pretty close except for a couple when denver blew me out and when i blew denver out.

You're definitely back on track!
Good to see that you contained Kenyon and Melo so well, even with Nash fouled out you show that you've got a hell of a team

yea epsecially since i have the advantage FINALLY. now i know what it will take to win, and that is to contain those 2 players. when nash got hurt, i went with johnson at the pg spot with under 2 mins left in the game to give us a bigger size advantage

Nie work! I really think Matrix is ur MVP!

i think so too, i think amare is leading the team in scoring right now, but Marion is averaging a double-double along with 4-5 apg and 2bpg and 2spg. He has a great looking stat line.

yap.... 2 of 2

first home win in this series ^^

u gotta take it now in game 6

i really hope i can take it because game 7 will be a nerve reckon game for me to play because i will be very nervous in that last game knowing its either go home or advance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I forgot to put up the other playoff games last night, I guess because I was a little tired  That will be up today along with Game 6 previw and recap. There have been some surprising things happening in the 1st round around the league.

Kenyon Martin- 9pts, 7rebs, 2asts

DENVER(Ticker) -- Phoenix will be looking to complete their huge comeback tonight if they can beat Denver in their own gym. The Suns were down 0-2 in the series, then went on to win 3 straight games. There have been 3 teams that have advanced to the 2nd round already. The Houston Rockets who defeated the no.2 seed Spurs, the Orlando Magic who defeated the no.1 seed Pacers, and the Miami Heat who beat Washington. "There have been many upsets in the first round so we can't relax in this game," Suns guard/forward Quentin Richardson said. "We have the oppurtunity to seal the deal in Game 6 and rest for the 2nd round and we need to try and take advantage of that oppurtunity." The Suns were able to hold the Nuggets top 2 players under the 20-point limit in Game 5. They held Carmelo Anthony to 15 points and Kenyon Martin to just 9 points. "When we locked them down, their entire offense locked down and that's why they only scored 81 points in Game 5," Coach D"Antoni said.

The Nuggets are now on the verge of letting this entire series getting out of control after leading 2-0. "We shouldn't be in this position right now at all," Nuggets guard Dermarr Johnson said. "Two of the 3 games they have won, we didn't come to play at all and we have to avoid elimination in tonight's game." Denver has yet to win a game at the Pepsi Center, just like the Suns had yet to win a game in Phoenix until Game 5. "We know things can chance in this series easy, so we can't expect the same type of games in Denver tonight," Nash said. "The crowd will be very rowdy because this was be the last game played at the Pepsi Center in the first round." If the Suns can advance to the 2nd round tonight, they would have to await the winner of the (4) Sacramento vs. (5) Memphis series with the Kings leading 3-2. The Grizzlies have won the last two games of the series and the next game is in Memphis. "We aren't the only team that haven't been on the verge of an upset," Amare Stoudemire said. "It has already been a number 2 seed and number 1 seed out in the first round and we don't want to make it another number 1 seed. I guarenteed that we will win the next 4 games and I'm sticking by that."

The Suns await the team to come out of the Kings vs. Grizzlies series

DENVER, Colorado (AP) -- The Suns management couldn't be any happier right now. Yes, they didn't win the championship, but they are one step closer to winning the championship title and they made a huge comeback against the Nuggets who had them down 0-2 earlier in the series. "We never gave up and that's something a team has to learn theirselves, and that's to never give up," Coach D'Antoni said after the game. "The team showed alot of courage tonight by not giving up in that last quarter when the Nuggets took the lead late in the game and I'm very proud of these boys." The Nuggets look to own the 2nd half after being owned in the first half. Phoenix was up 57-39 at the break, then the Nuggets outscored the Suns 33-23 in the 3rd quarter which caused for a hectic 4th quarter.

Camby jammed a two hand dunk to pull Denver within' 82-80 with just under 10 minutes remaining in the game. Martin was going inside to get the easy bucket, but Marion stepped in and drew the foul and he was aching in pain afterwards. "I think it was just a cramp in the leg or I strained something," Marion said. "The trainer said that it wasn't nothing seriously at all and that I just need to rest for a day." After McCarty replaced Marion in the game, Anthony came down with 8:28 left in the game and made a jumpshot in the left corner to give Denver their first lead of the entire game. Phoenix then used a timeout to try and stop the mini run made by Denver, and Nash came out of the timeout and made a big 3 to put Phoenix back up 89-87. Both teams went scoreless from the 7:05 mark til' the 5:00 minute mark when McCarty made a 3-pointer at the top of the key to give Phoenix their biggest lead of the quarter at 98-91.

McCarty was able to come through in the clutch by nailing his 2nd 3-pointer of the game as he put the Suns back up 104-97 with 2:38 left in the game. After Anthony failed to convert on a jumper, the Suns ran as much cloc as possible until Nash found an open Stoudemire in the paint from the double that came to Nash. Then, Martin came to front Stoudemire, but Amare found Steven Hunter cutting to the basket and he slammed it home wiht 31.4 seconds left to give the Suns a 106-102 lead. The Nuggets used one of their 3 timeouts and Miller ran a pick and roll with Carmelo after the inbounds. Anthony recieved the ball, but McCarty's long body contested the shot and forced him to miss off the side of the rim. Denver fouled Quentin Richardson with 15.8 seconds left, but they had a foul to give. The Suns were able to run another 5 seconds off the clock before Denver could foul Richardson again. Q made both freebies to put Phoenix up 108-102, and the Nuggets used up their last timeout. The Ngugets couldn't get a good shot off and Marin forced a jumper that rimmed short had the Suns grabbed the final rebound of the series.

"My prediction was correct," Stoudemire said. "I said we would win 4 straight and that's what we came out and did. This shows that the team is united and we are just getting started." Shawn Marion was named "The Player of the Series" averaging 20.3ppg, 10.8rpg, 4apg, 1.8spg and 1.1bpg. "When he came down grimising, I was saying 'here we go again with another injury', but luckily it wasn't as bad as I thought," Jim Jackson said. The Suns bench came through big in tonight's game outscoring the Nuggets bench 23-15. "We are just getting ready for the 2nd round now and we have a few days off now since the Kings/Grizzlies series is still going on along with a couple of other games," Suns coach Mike D'Antoni said. "I will give the players a few days rest after a tough series."

Wow, a couple of lower seeds with some disappointing upset victories there - Houston sweeping the Spurs 4-0 in the opening round? Guess they're a little better than their regular season record suggests.

Hmm, well im not too sure what's going on. I thought i suppose to have got awards right at the end of the season until someone told me that I get them during the first round so i dont know what could be wrong.

Congrats Mafia, good luck in the second round!

Thx, Andrew. It took alot of work to play all those games  But just when I thought the team was going to start getting boring to play with, it just got better.

Yea, I'm really surprised at Orlando beating the Pacers in 5 games because the Pacers had a healthy team. As for the Spurs, Tim Duncan was hurt the entire season, but I still can't picture Houston sweeping them. I kind of figured that the Pistons were going to beat the Nets though. I was hoping that the Grizzlies could upset the Kings, but it looks like Memphis will be taking an early first round exit. :(

I'm guessing it's by date or maybe after you play a certain amount of games, since maybe I just didn't get it yet because my first round series went just 4 games.

Nice to see you're moving on after that scare with you losing the two first games.

I like the Kings, but you gotta win this. (Y)

yea, the kings have given me problems during the season with them beating me one time and the other times the game were 2 points apart.

not in real life though......

good luck against the kings

 thanks

yea this will be a much better shooting team overall. the nuggets were a pretty bad outside shooting team, but the kings have plenty of weapons.

thanks again

Expect for Game 1 to be up today. I might take a break off today because of the long series against the Nuggets, but if I'm not busy, I'll definitely have an update because I'm pretty excited about playing a new team because the Nuggets were starting to get boring.

KINGS VS. SUNS
America West Arena, Phoenix, 7:00 p.m., PST

TV, radio: TNT; KTAR 620
SEASON RECORD: Kings, 56-26; Suns, 64-18.
SEASON SERIES: 3-1 Suns
PLAYOFF SERIES: 0-0
INJURY REPORT: Kings- Brad Miller (broken nose) on injury reserve

KEY PLAYERS ON SUNS (Round 1 Stats)
Amare Stoudemire- 19.7ppg, 11.7rpg, 1.6bpg
Quentin Richardson- 17.5ppg, 6.3apg, 3.5apg
Shawn Marion- 20.3ppg, 10.8rpg, 4apg

KEY PLAYERS ON KINGS (Round 1 Stats)
Peja Stojakovic- 25.7ppg, 7.1rpg, 4.4apg
Mike Bibby- 20.3ppg, 4.3apg, 6.7apg
Cuttino Mobley- 14.1ppg, 3.4apg

PHOENIX (Ticker) -- The Suns have finally advanced to the 2nd round after a tough series against the Denver Nuggets, but things don't get any easier as they start another series against the Sacramento Kings (56-26) who have gave the Suns problems during the regular season. Phoenix were able to make big shots in the last seconds in 3 out of the 4 games the two teams played. On November 13th, the Suns won at home against the Kings with a 113-110 victory. Then, on February 8th, the Suns won at Sacramento in a 106-104 affair. After that, the Kings dominated the Suns on April 16th in a 98-80 win in Phoenix, and in the final game of the series, the Suns came up big again down the stretch with a 102-100 win in Sacramento. "They are a very good team and they are very hard to beat," Suns back-up point guard Leandrosa Barbosa said. Sacramento will definitely be a much challenging step from the Denver Nuggets as they have many more shooters on the team, but a much smaller frontcourt. "The Nuggets had the big guys, while the Kings have the shooters," Shawn Marion said. "So it looks like this series may be just a shootout."

Peja Stojakovic help lead the Kings past the Memphis Grizzlies in 7 games as he averaged 25.7ppg, 7.1rpg and 4.4apg during the 7 games. He was helped by Mike Bibby who also played very well becoming the 2nd leading scorer on the team with 20.3ppg and 6.7apg. Brad Miller was injured in the 2nd game of the 7 game series against the Grizzlies with a broken nose and has been out since. He is expected to return in two weeks so that means he may not play in this 2nd round series, depending on how long it last. "Brad is a key piece to this team and it's going to hurt us dramatically with him out of the lineup because he was one of our leading scorers," Kings guard Mike Bibby said. "Everyone is just going to have step their games up like we did against Memphis because we are one of the few teams during the season that give the Suns a run for their money." Greg Ostertag is expected to start in place of the injured Brad Miller. Shawn Marion will start tonight after colliding with Kenyon Martin on a play in Game 6 agains the Nuggets. "It was just a very tight cramp, but it felt like I strained something," Marion said. "I'm ok now, and I feel no pain." Joe Johnson is also now 100% after getting hurt in first round series against Denver. "We have a healthy team heading into this series and that was something we didn't have at the beginning of the Nuggets' series," Suns coach D'Antoni said. "Hopefully we can get an early start on the Kings."

Yea they definitely will. I think the series may go 7 games. I will have to see if I should change Marion to the SF spot to play Peja or not because I know for sure he will be a factor. It all depends on if we lose the games when he is hot. Marion and McCarty will play alot against Peja though.
