Hey... this constitutes for G 8+.... seriously... there arent any sexual references! *hint hint*

I'm means... wats wrong with jam doghnuts lol?

dw... i'll cut it!

Tue May 03, 2005 10:59 pm

yeah true....but the narcotics talk wouldn't pass a G8 rating....either way, we've had our fun for the night....

am curious what everyone's thoughts (outside of Watson sucks  ) about the per minute efficiency ratings for my Bobcats....I was surprised to see Nene and Splitter so high....your thoughts please....

Tue May 03, 2005 11:03 pm

Splitter is good... got potential... id play Nene more though!

Tue May 03, 2005 11:13 pm

Nene plays quite a few minutes already off the bench....he plays about 17 or 18 minutes per game I think....average game is about 45 minutes I'd say....he's averaging about 8ppg, 5.5rpg, 0.7bpg, 0.7spg in that time and shooting about 52% from the field....so yep, he's playing pretty well....the only way he can get more court time is to play a little bit at the 3 if the other team has a big 3 in a tall lineup beside Dumars and Okafor, whose minutes at C & PF I am both happy with....Dumars is playing about 30 minutes per game and Okafor is playing about 35 minutes per game....remember simming dictates a lot of the minutes that Nene sees, but he is my 6th man, so I try to get him as many minutes as possible :D

Tue May 03, 2005 11:18 pm

Well, you gave the answer about Nene yourself... 7/12 of his playing time is defined by the CPU, and we all know the CPU is not keen on using the bench much... so you must really like Nene.
Nene Hilario at the 3 spot?!?!? That is hilario(us)

As for Splitter, you can't really make a judgement since he hits the floor so rarely. Could be a fluke... although he is your lottery pick, you should play him more..justify that guaranteed rookie contract...

yeah, Nene rarely plays at the 3....he's a backup C/PF for me....I was merely suggesting that that would be the only way to get him more minutes on the court....I think he can handle playing the 3 for a minute or two if the situation is right....meaning against a lineup where a guy like Garnett was playing at SF....but with Simmons and Walton playing a lot at the 3, you don't need to worry about that

as for the Splitter answer, see my post in Sit's thread to answer the reason why his scrub rookies had such high efficiency ratings....same reason applies to Splitter....but I will try to find him more minutes as he's starting to show flashes of that talent that got him drafted....is pushing Haslem for the 2nd backup bigman spot behind Nene....you probably feel the same way about Splitter as you do about Biedrins in real life for Golden State I guess

Tue May 03, 2005 11:37 pm

okay not that anyone probably cares, but I've closed the 2007 draft class....I've gotta get onto dbf editing sometime next week....

NLSC players in 2007 draft: iLLuzionz, pHLo & ceekay

will start scouting reports sometime in next couple of weeks....

accepting entries for 2008 class from now....

You're right on th emoney with this one... (Y)

Wed May 04, 2005 2:22 am

Hey The X…thanks so much for posting up your results of the new 'un-named tool' Remember that Weighted is based upon the number of the games a player plays vs the total number of games the team has played.

This tool is solely based on the number of minutes the player is on the court… So, yeh, the numbers could be a bit skewed if the player came in for only one minute the whole season and made a dunk and then sat out. BUT you'd see the results and go, "frick I gotta play this guy more" And then you realize who much that player sucks and then you sit him down again.

Therefore the law of averages works in practice!

Wed May 04, 2005 8:56 am

Nice tool Honor, gives us a good insite into how X's players are really performing.

Nice updates X, looks like Seraph is the more mature player, dominating me.

Mind you he has had the whole season to get used to me as a starter.

BTW any idea what influenced coaches decision to start me? or was it just random?

yeah, I think the tool is great although I feel it needs a new name Honor

as for your performances, you've been like a lot of rookies, good one game, bad the next....inconsistent....not sure why you were moved to the starting lineup....maybe because someone got injured or David Wesley got signed as that sometimes shuffles the order....it's a little surprising considering you have a slightly lower rating than Fowles....but you can't complain about that, I guess Coach thinks you are the future....

yeah, sorry about all that spam you had to wade through

and Honor, I think I'm going to use the efficiency scores to rate the NLSC ballers next month....see how each fares....I've got a feeling Sit might be near top....but you never know....

Wed May 04, 2005 11:44 am

Hey Andrew I like that new black uniform for the Bobcats, anyway you can make it available to download or email?!

Wed May 04, 2005 1:26 pm

I believe Zach made it....I got it from either 4th quarter or nbafiles.com....you can find it over there in the jerseys section....

CATS TAKE 3-3 SPLIT ENTERING ALL-STAR WEEKEND

Here goes the final 6 game recap prior to All-Star Weekend in February 2007. This will be last recap for a little while as am headed down the coast for about half a week, then I'll try to get onto All-Star Weekend once I get back. I took less pics so I could get the recap out of the way.

Feb 1, 2007 - Charlotte 89 vs Memphis 98 [INTERVENTION GAME]

Intervening in the 4th quarter and down by 24 points I held out little chance of pulling this one out. I gradually cut into the lead but put in the scrubs to close out the game and they continue to cut into the lead. A really disappointing loss as it seemed no one showed up in this one. My team seems to struggle against the Grizzlies as I dropped the season series 2-0 and the team dropped to 19-17.

BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Simmons 2pts, Splitter 1pt

Feb 3, 2007 - Charlotte 96 @ New York 87 [SIMMED GAME]

Bobby Simmons had easily his best game as a Bobcat as he not only shutdown Tim Thomas (10pts) but also put up 28 and 10 to help the Bobcats to this tough win. The win moves the Bobcats to a 20-17 record.

BPMM Points: Simmons 3pts, Okafor 2pts, Jaric 1pt

Feb 4, 2007 - Charlotte 129 vs New York 128 [HUMAN GAME]

This game was a fan's dream and a coach's nightmare. No defense at all was played in this game as the Bobcats almost blew a big 4th quarter lead in this one. The big men dominated in this as Okafor, "That Guy" and rookie Splitter took the BPMM Points on this day. The win moves the Bobcats to 21-17 as the Bobcats win the season series against the Knicks with home-and-away wins in back-to-back games

The X dives for the loose ball. He made a great pass off the deck to a cutting GA for the dunk. Play of the game right there.

Other pics:
Dumars shows he has a bit of Old School "Starks with the Spark" style

BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Dumars 2pts, Splitter 1pt

Feb 9, 2007 - Charlotte 95 vs Sacramento 108 [INTERVENTION GAME]

Intervening in the 4th quarter and down by 7 points there was a slim chance against the tough Kings. Although Sacramento came out strong and blew me away to win by 15 points in the end. GA's struggles continued which is a real concern for this team as we need him to step up in these sort of games. On the bright side, rookie Tiago Splitter is starting to prove that he could yet be a contributor this season as he continues his solid play. The loss drops Bobcats to 21-18.

BPMM Points: Simmons 3pts, Splitter 2pts, Dumars 1pt

Feb 14, 2007 - Charlotte 79 vs Los Angeles Lakers 108 [SIMMED GAME]

The Seraph-led Lakers were far too strong for the Bobcats as they handed Charlotte their 2nd straight loss, dropping their record to 21-19. GA continued his shooting slump as Reyes absolutely dominated him. Definitely some food for thought in this drubbing.

BPMM Points: Van Exel 3pts, Splitter 2pts, Dumars 1pt

Feb 15, 2007 - Charlotte 109 @ Indiana 94 [HUMAN GAME]

The Bobcats will be heading into the All-Star break with a 22-19 record after turning around their disappointing form. The Bobcats absolutely dominated the Pacers in all aspects of the game and used the power of Okafor, Dumars and Nene to control this one from start to finish.

Too easy for Watson as he sees an opening

BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Dumars 2pts, Nene 1pt

I'll post All-Star entrants tomorrow if I get the chance....

enjoy

Probably make it about a week or so... Sometimes having 'packhorses' can get you more tired than if you hadn't any...

Check that Watson-Marbury pic a little bit better. Focus on Starbury's groin... Looks like someone ripped him a new asshole... Any gay guys on the roster, by any chance?

Nice, I see you are steadily heading for your first playoff appearance... (Y)

yeah, win some, lose some....good enough out East....I'm actually in 5th spot in the East, narrowly holding out Heat, who are in 6th....Pacers are in 4th but have a few games on me....but I'm only half a game back of Magic who lead my division by a half game over me....so if I can string a few games together and results fall my way, I could conceivably take the No. 2 spot out East  although I've got a feeling that Magic will hold on to that spot....just making the playoffs will be happy....I'd be happy with a 6th seed so I can beat up on the Knicks a bit more (they hold Atlantic division lead and 3rd seed at the mo)....

as for the Marbury pic, can't say I noticed before....I usually don't check out Marbury's ass :o as for who the culprit is, well GA's game has been off lately so hmm :?

but enough of that....I'll post All-Star, Rookie Game Starters tomorrow....a couple of Bobcats will feature at All-Star weekend....can you guess who they are?!?

Thu May 05, 2005 1:02 am

GA's game has been off lately so hmm

Maybe he mistook Viagra for a Hoops Performance Enhancer...

Anyway, good job so far, looking forward to your first ever playoff coverage ( with you in it...)

Don't strain those packhorses too much...

Thu May 05, 2005 1:07 am

damn... what ya lookin at ?? ^^

maybe it was "That Gay"

Thu May 05, 2005 1:13 am

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Thanks for making me laugh, friend, that was niiicceeee!!!

Yeah, I think Gay Dumars did it... big burly man... with a fixation towards Barbie dolls... you should have seen it coming, X...

Now everybody better be walking with their backs against the wall in the Bobcats' locker room...

I never thought Starbury was a "backhole celebrator", though...

Plus I have Elton John and George Michael requasting his number all of a sudden... "Business propositions", they said :?: :?

No prob, just doin my thing ^^

these are the little things that make an created rookie unforgetable ;)

now i really know why why starbury often dribbles with his back in the front, it's not because he wants to cover the ball
good that he isn't a big man... i just imagined him posting up ^^

ok... enough said, let's try to be serious again

dweaver wrote: you should have seen it coming, X...

 not really, I definitely saw it coming....when you originally asked me who the culprit was, that thought came to mind, and I would have been surprised had someone not picked up on it....thought about mentioning it, but did not want to tarnish his rep....

misow wrote:Dumars and Arenas for the WE (Y)

not a bad guess there misow, although you left out 2 participants who will also be packing their bags and heading off to ASW....
