NLSC PLAYER UPDATE (JAN '07)
This is a monthly section that will highlight different NLSC Players each month. With many new NLSC players gracing the courts in the 2006/07 season we cross to the City of Brotherly Love to check on the top NLSC draft pick who has recently cracked the 76ers starting lineup.
PG- Mark Moore (match_66), 6'1", 165lbs (4th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft by Philadelphia 76ers)
"Mark Moore is on the right side of the height advantage as he shoots over Will Sit for a duece
Mark Moore was projected to go anywhere in the top 5 picks in the 2006 NBA Draft. However it was a shock to see the Philadelphia 76ers select him as they had drafted a very capable rookie PG the year before (Joshua Fowles). Something seemingly had to give. 2nd year PG Fowles got the nod for the starting spot, but this hasn't deterred Moore who has continued to work hard on his game and he has put together many quality games. You can just see the potential gleaming out of this Kiwi prospect and it was obvious that the team wouldn't be able to hold this kid back for too long. Well, it's now the end of January and Moore has worked his way into the starting lineup as the Sixers try a different look to try and make a push towards the playoffs. Expect Mark Moore's numbers to climb with the increased minutes and responsibilities that now rest on his shoulders. Not since a young Tony Parker came into the league, has a rookie PG came in with such poise. It should be fascinating to see what he can accomplish alongside Iverson.
Mark Moore's 2006/07 Stats:
8.4ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.2apg, , 48.6% FG, 26.5% 3pt, 71.9% FT
7.91 NBA Efficiency Rating
6.47 Raw Birdie Score
6.47 Weighted Birdie Score

3 points , 5 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists... plus the Warriors won... I'm pleased

Nice production from your big 3, but I think Simmons could do a lot better.
Tue May 03, 2005 7:39 am
You went 5-6 in that month, yet you still ahead of the Heat in 5th place, and you only two games out of first. So I'll say you in pretty good position. I was looking for Okafor to possibly get East Player of the Month, but I guess that 40, 20 game wasn't enough.
Tue May 03, 2005 7:56 am
ah... good month. and 7 points in 11 min is pretty decent.
good jobs dude, love that sit up pic

yeah, you had higher scoring games than this one, but I felt this embodied the spirit of "the Greek with the flailing elbows"
John WB wrote:Nice production from your big 3, but I think Simmons could do a lot better.
yeah, I definitely agree....but you must remember that a big reason for a dip in his numbers as he was playing injured all month and I therefore used Luke Walton more as he stepped up in January....

yeah, thank god for the Leastern Conference
I think 'Meka would have got the award if the team had won more games as he really did have a good month....just taking a guess, but I would imagine he would have easily had a 20ppg, 13rpg & 2bpg month....

yeah, situp pic is pretty sweet....
you just aren't getting the opportunity....
forgot to mention that you and Cocobee are tied for about 15th in the league for 3pt % at 41.7%.....and Seraph is about 15th or so in assists with 6.2apg....

F- Udonis Haslem - 54.5% FG (11th in NBA), 94.4% 3Pt (4th in NBA)

For someone who loves Pape so much, why haven't you gone out and gotten him yet?

Keep it up X, people would have to be crazy not to like this.

yeah, I can't explain it either....actually wait a sec, that should be 94.4% FT, which is still very high but probably due to lack of attempts....

haha true although I don't really love Pape....I just love my token guys....I think everyone needs to bandwagon at least one or two....after his blogs, Paul Shirley has been added to the list....I would consider getting Pape however I felt I had to show loyalty to Melvin Ely for his efforts over the past 2 seasons....he's basically earning money for nothing....
Captain Souvlaki wrote:And I'm 3rd in technical fouls, 2nd in brawls started, and 1st in brawls finished with KOs...
yep, you need to not take on SJax and Ronnie Artest....no wonder you are always getting knocked out

now I know how you got that sore neck

Yay im starting!!, looks like Coach saw the light.
One thing X, have you got me as the skinniest build, cos that would be the best fit for me
You may be inconsistent at the moe, but your still well on track for the playoffs.
Keep it up

yep, the Coach has seen the light and geared with the signing of David Wesley, the team hopes to turn it around....can you handle leading the team?!? I noticed Seraph destroyed you 1-on-1 in Lakers-76ers battle....should be interesting....
I adjusted your body type....hopefully this new one does the job....I had it as 0, I'll try it as 1....
Sit wrote:Oi Mark- nice work for hitting the shot over me!
I think you needed a step ladder in that matchup
Sit wrote:man.. talk about efficiency! lol...

yeah, it was a nice game....as for the block, my guess would be Travis Diener, the Hawks' rookie (and 2nd Rd drafted) PG....you never know, you could have got up and denied a Josh Smith dunk
Micchy_boy wrote:I was not around for sometime but I try to catch up and see how your Cats doing... looking your doing fine.... also goes with my Ballers in Bucks...
good to see you back around the place....hope your cpu problems are sorted....yeah, Bucks are going fine, although Redd is sucking up all the minutes in Milwaukee....

PIC OF THE MONTH (JANUARY '07)
Sorry guys, forgot to post this last night....enjoy....
X: "Hey Honor, you never told me the form in Texas was this good...."
HG: "Man, you don't even know the half of it...." *walks away with a grin from ear-to-ear"
X: *thinking to himself* "Damn it, I need to stop hanging out with 'That Guy' as he always ends up with the cream of the crop, and I end up with the....well...."
Ahhh....the life of an NLSC prospect....
Tue May 03, 2005 10:14 pm
An interesting snapshot of who really comes to play the moment they step on the court....very interesting to see how important Nene is for this time....and how about Splitter too....I think I have to find him more minutes with these shock results....Simmons and Jaric have played less than the 35 games so I don't know if that affects the score for them or not, but it probably does....
if you want to do this for you own dynasty, head to Honor Glow's post here

U suck Watson! lol
Tue May 03, 2005 10:21 pm
yep....I'm rated at least 5 points below you, and about 10 below the top rated NLSC Match_66, so yep, I do suck, and that's why I'm now firmly planted on the pine

all that is left to do is join up with dweaver in Phoenix for a session, then we'll hit the souvlakis with the Chuckster along for the ride....may as well, considering my career appears to be over
Tue May 03, 2005 10:26 pm
nah... i meant i thoguht u played a larger role for ur team.... u should start urself!

I can just imagine, 3-4 seasons from now the league has forgotten promising youngsters dweaver and x as the downward spiral that Rasheed Wallace led them into led them into the dark, hard streets of Detroit, where after making an unsucessful rap album (what would you expect from rock guys anyway?!?) they end up in rehab with no money in the bank as they blew their league minimum wages and didn't do a Kemp and wait until after the payday to stop showing up....
now that would be a truly unique twist to an NLSC-er diary....hmm....

Well.. meanwhile in O-town:
Sit: Man Stevie, this is some good sh*t...
Stevie: Yeah man, if only Dwight was here to have some too
*rocking noises*
*moaning*
Sit: Oh yeah baby... this is good! It's guuuud!
Stevie: Man, I can taste... it!
Sit: What's it like on your side?
Stevie: It's tasty over here man! The center... once you get there- it's bliss!
Sit: Well, I love this flavour. Got to get the same tommorrow night!
*Banging at door*
*The door opens and light switches on*
Dwight: What you guys doing? Holy...
Sit: It's not what you think it is!
Stevie: I swear it was an accident!
Dwight: My doughnuts with jam filling.... noooo!
Tue May 03, 2005 10:50 pm
okay Sit & dweaver, in the interests of turning this dynasty into a mockery, I will call an end to these proceedings....as always I try to keep my dynasty to a PG rating but it seems to have erred a bit lately....
will try to get a couple of games recaps up tomorrow night and get myself up to All-Star break, which will coincidence with a half-week hiatus from this dynasty....until tomorrow, stay in school
