i have to say this, "wow." this is a unique and outstanding presentation..... im right kobe won.... keep it up mich (Y)

Thu Jan 13, 2005 5:41 pm

thanks for all 8 positive comments and for those 90 plus who checked my dynasty (when i post the slamdunk recap my hits was 6972 and it goes to 7082 (Y) )....

Yessie - i didnt play it i let the CPU control Kobe to make it more interesting since i sucks in slamdunk coz i dont have gamepad)

jxuusa and TheGuRu - yeah the film strip was the second best thing i think to show how each dunk were performed (the moving gif was the first)

mafia - yeah its quite dissapointing to see KG winning it (though i more disappointed with him on the slamdunk i hope its bron or tmac)

Seraph- its not my fault Kobe win, i never done anything to change the outcome. Honestly i was nervous when he scored only 45 in the tiebreaker round. RJ got screwed by judges in that round...

.:[Scorpion]:. and kobelive2005- thanks for the comments. i'l try even harder to put nice ideas here... i hope..

pHLo - sorry KG didn't as i said its not my fault lol..

to other who visited here- thanks for checking it.....

All-star game will be soon, i already finished it and i'm in the process of doing the recaps...
sorry to tell the slamdunk maybe the highlight of my all-star weekend... so pls dont expect much from the all-star gameit will be just like the rooks-soph recap.. and i want to again start playing the season and go to the playoff (Lakers will reach it i promise...)

and before the all-star recap i'l be back with some stuff with my lakers..
soon...

Trade Rumors

With the trade deadline approaching, some teams are now trying and hustling to trade some of players that will have an impact for their team’s future. Some will trade to upgrade their line-up and helped them be a contender for the title. Some will trade to give them salary flexibility for the coming off-season. And some team are trying to trade that will helped them build their future. As of this writing trade rumors are spreading in NBA and we will discuss it today…

The Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns have an ongoing trade talk that will send Suns’ Zarko Cabarkapa to the Warriors for future 2nd round pick. The trade will give another young player for the Warriors in trying to rebuild their losing franchise. The Suns will save them about 1.3M in salary payroll and will give them an unknown player in the next draft. Cabarkapa average only 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per game. He played 36 games this season/

The Orlando Magic and Sacramento Kings are discussing a trade. The Orlando Magic offered Cuttino Mobley and Michael Bradley to Kings in exchange for long-time Kings Doug Christie. Mobley will be a free-agent next season and Magic front-office was afraid to lose Mobley without getting a player with the same caliber. The Kings might bite the offer, first they will get another offensive threat but will have to sacrifice they defense. Second Mobley will be a free-agent and this will give them enough cap room to re-signed Stojacovic and/or Jackson next summer.

The Los Angeles Lakers were trying to shop some of his player with various reasons. A Lakers insider said that Bill Walton, Luke’s father, talked with Buss, Kupchak and Coach Rudy T and asked them to trade his son to a team that will give his son some playing time. Luke Walton only played 7 games this season due to the fact that Lakers have too many players playing the same position as Luke. Insider said that Shaq was interested in getting the younger Walton since Shaq was impressed with Luke passing ability and court awareness. Lakers and Heat are now talking at the moment with Shandon Anderson and Keyon Dooling name were mentions…

Also the Lakers were trying to trade Slava Medvedenko. Lakers re-signed him last summer but were not a factor this season coz he was still recovering form an injury. Knicks expressed some interest in Slava and were willing to trade any Knicks players except Marbury and Jamal Crawford. Insider said Lakers were asking for another big man to help Mihm, Divac and Grant upfront.

--------------------------
Pls give comments on this trade:
1. Walton and Brown for Anderson and Dooling
2. Medvedenko for Baker

Thu Jan 13, 2005 7:02 pm

:x *boo* :x *hiss* :x

I think contest was rigged, no way Kobe should have won :(

I really do think he got lucky....it seemed like a couple of his dunks were just different variations of the same dunk and he didn't get penalised for it.....he was also lucky in the tiebreaker that RJ put up a weak ass effort....

all I can say is very lucky Kobe, very lucky....Garnett went great though (outside of 1 dunk in final round)....

apart from the Kobe conspiracy that was a superb dunk recap (even though it took like 30 minutes to load up on my 56k connection :( )....

as for the trades, normally I would say no to the walton and brown for anderson and dooling, but in this case, due to anderson large contract, I think this is a fair deal.....

as for medvendenko for baker, if ya wanna do it then do it.....baker is a better player but also an alchoholic, so yah, this is aight too.....

Amazing Slam Dunk Compitition

Baker for Medvedenko seems fair, and Brown and Walton for Anderson and Dooling is a great trade for you

Also, Great works on the Rookie Scouts!

Thank You Micchy Boy for giving us an amazing feast of compititions!

Good Work!

Awesome dynasty. I love your recaps, especially of All-Star Weekend.

How do you get your players so clear? Mine have white outlining around them. And those jerseys are really clear too. Are those ingame or downloaded?

Truely great all star game! awesome presentation with the movie strips and dunk breakdown. Kobe sure put the ball through his legs alot, 3 times?! nice job with the trade rumors i like the walton and brown for anderson and dooling trade but i dont really like slava for baker. only way i can see it being good is for cap reasons. great stuff!

Fri Jan 14, 2005 9:05 am

do the walton and brown deal but keep slava

Fri Jan 14, 2005 9:42 am

thanks again for the great comments.
well about the trade even though i like luke in real life seems like i can get his game going in my dynasty... though both luke and brown became free-agent next season in my dynasty, anderson will also be a free-agent and will save me 1M in salary (i may not sign him but will give him chance to prove himself). Dooling is want i want, a player i like to develop and since last summer there's a rumor he will sign with Lakers but decided to join Miami. i think dooling will be a great point guard in the future.

I love baker and if you check my 04 lakers dynasty i also have him in a 3-way trade between Lakers, Blazers and Knicks that send slava to NY. and since baker was not alcoholic in live  , he will give my team another big man for the rest of the season and maybe again will not re-sign him since a player name Micchy Boy will be pick by Lakers in the next draft

Sat Jan 15, 2005 7:45 am

i don't think you can

John WB wrote:How do you do a 3-way trade? :?

in my 04 dynasty???
well i trade geroge and cook to blazers for stoudamire and khryapa(sp) then i trade khryapa and slava for Baker... trading in o4 is easier since salary was not sometimes a factor.

now on live 05 you cant trade george and cook for stou coz george slary was 4M something while stou i think was 14M.. so they wont accept it....

Inside the NBA with Kenny "The Jet" Smith, Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson and Ernie Johnson

Image
Welcome everyone to Inside the NBA All-Star Weekend Edition. I'm Ernie Johnson along side Kenny "The Jet" Smith, Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson. In a few minutes we will be watching the All-Star Game. This game will features the brightest and superstars of NBA. On one side, you have the reigning MVP Kevin Garnett. He will be joined by 2-time MVP Tim Duncan and this year Slamdunk King Kobe Bryant. While the other will be led the by Shaquille O’Neal. With him will be Allen Iverson and high flyers Vine Carter. So let’s talk about the game.

Image
The game will be as exciting as the Rookie Challenge. But this game will be more serious since this superstars want to win to prove their the best of the best. I as well as al fans want to see how Kobe and Shaq fair this time on opposite side.

Image
That’s one of the sidelights of this game. Shaq and Bryant facing just for the 2nd time.
As always the West look impressive, the frontcourt all stand 7 feet or more and have a very flashy backcourt.

Image
Yeah, I think they were the favorite just like in previous year. But they will be up against one of their former teammate in Shaq. Shaq will be playing in the East team after 8 years. But still this West team was impressive.

Image
Well, let’s talked about the participants. Do the fans picked the right guys to start the game.

Image
No doubt, every player selected to start for the West were the best in their position. Yao is the best center in West today esp. with Shaq now on the East coast. KG and Tim, no one will argue their selection. And Bryant, do I need to explain that and Davis, now play great basketball this season.

Image
Magic you all said it, no need to explain anymore about that. I’m gonna talked about the East. Shaq the best center in NBA, Jermaine and Vince., even though there were some good forward in East, I think they deserved the spot. And Pierce and Iverson for backcourt, With other point guard struggling or have injury, AI proved his one of the best scoring guard and Pierce maybe the biggest surprise to be on the starting guard but as I said his playing the best season in his career.

Image
Well to add on that, Carter was a MVP candidate this season, playing for Nets really helped him. Pierce, along with James, impressed me with they great play. In West those 4 already a locked in their starting position with BD snatching the guard position from guys like T-Mac and Nash.

Image
Yeah, I think T-Mac should also be in that starting line-up but as I said Davis have an impressive season so far.

Image
Now let’s go with the bench players. They were selected by all NBA coaches. Let’s start with the West team.

Image
West features some of the best players in their respective team. Nowitzki, he done great thing for Dallas and he will be a great addition with the formidable starter in West. Pau Gasol also has a great year and also goes with Andrei Kirilenko. This 3 international player gives some scoring punch for the West.

Image
Not to mention, Tony Parker also got selected, we can see some Spurs play with TP and TD. The back-up shooting guard will be Ray Allen, I think the best shooting guard today.

Image
To complete the team were Elton Brand and Brad Miller. Miller the second best center in West while I like Brand got some recognition coz he really deserve it.

Image
How about the East?

Image
Okey they bench features….

Image
Wait can I go first?? I always the last to speak and always have to speak about the guys you two left out

Image
Ha ha ha. Okey Charles you go first.

Image
Okey thank you. The East has Big Ben and Artest to give them some defense. There will also some tension with this 2 as we all know their history. But with this 2 in East line-up, the West should be careful, they shots will be contested by this 2 guys.

Image
Okey, the great addition for this East line-up will be Lebron James, fans will love to see some high-flying dunk from this kid. Also in backcourt will be the explosive Stephon Marbury. That will be a great back-up backcourt…

Image
I agree with you on that Magic… well to complete the line-up. East will have rookie Emeka Okafor, all coach were impress on his performance though their records don’t show it. He beat guys like Rasheed Wallace for that position. Jamison did great thing in Wizards and with Atlanta missing Walker for long time, Harrington proved he can carry the Hawks.

Image
Well now were finished with the participant, who do you think deserved it but didn’t make it to this event?

Image
I think T-Mac no doubt, also goes with Michael Redd. I remember he was included on the 1st selection but later pulled out for… They said Lebron James.

Image
I maybe biased here but I think Odom should at least consider in one of the 7 bench position. He’s playing well despite playing along Kobe Bryant. But yeah T-Mac and Redd should also be there. Also goes with Rasheed Wallace and Dwyane Wade

Image
As I said T-Mac will not give 100% performance so coaches didn’t select him. Payton doing good in Celtics while I think Peja Stojakovic should be included.

Image
Again for the last time, who will win this game?

Image
The West will repeat and Bryant will win the MVP.

Image
I agree West will win with Tim Duncan winning it.

Image
how do I fair in this prediction things? I think I also go for West to make my batting average decent. Kg will snatch again the MVP trophy…

Image
Okey West indeed…And also goes with KG winning the MVP.
Well, that's it for tonight folks. We will see you next time on Inside the NBA. I'm Ernie Johnson along with Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson. Goodnight.

Yeah i also wondering why he was recognize as a raptors, i was suprise when the announcer said from Toronto Raptors since he was on the Nets in my dynasty...

Impossible_is_nothing wrote:hey did you edit the coach or something?

Yes i edit the coaches.dbf but i made a mistake it should be brown and adelman since detroit and Sacramneto have the best record in my dynasty.
And if you just notice in my Rooks-Soph game, i also edit the coach, Van Gundy for Soph since he's a 2nd year coach and Bickerstaff as Rook coch since he's a rookie coach.
