Evans was my main target, his def board is at 90....
But his contract is 1.10, and the they dont want david lee, although he has better overall rating and in my opinion more potential.
So I would nee to give up lil Nate, his contract is the only wan that fits
And Nate for Reggie ... dunno, 72 overall for 61, sounds horrible.
thx for advice !

New York Knicks (0-3) vs Milwaukee Bucks (3-3)

From MSG Center, New York

New York bounces back ! Win over Bucks!

Frye, Marbury take it for the Knicks, Redd and Bucks can´t handle the pressure.

Yes, this time the Knicks made it, winning their first game this season vs the highscoring Bucks, ranked 3rd in the strong central division.
The first suprise of the night was the fact, that Larry Brown sat Steve Francis on the bench and started with a real shooting guard, Jamaal Crawford.

"We knew we needed a player who can defend Redd, and Redd is not a slasher, he´s a shooter. Jamaal got the command to challenge every single shot Michael takes, but he made it better forcing him to defend, I´m glad about that.", a happy Larry Brown said.
Crawford used his chance.

He started with the first 6 points in the game, and forced Michael Redd out of the game due foul trouble. The Bucks played small ball, Mo Williams and T.J. Ford. Maurice Williams showed his shooting, with 2 treys in the 1st.

Stephon Marbury scored 6 points and Channing Frye started with 4 points.
But Bucks had 5 three pointers, and led by 1, 24-23, unfortunately for the better playing Knicks.

Knicks kept playing hard, especially on the defensive end. Marbury had 2 steals at the beginning of the second, leading to easy buckets.

"You know, everybody was talking about our improved defense, but seriously today was the 1st time you could see that, and I like it" ", Starbury" said.

He made a three and Channing Frye started heating up scoring 8.

The Bucks played really weak, Jamaal Magloire held them in the game dominating the boards.
But New York allowed only 19 points and led by 1 after the second.

In the third Knicks kept on giving the ball to Marbury, Frye and Crawford.
Bucks´ Michael Redd made 7 points before he had to be benched again because of his fouls.

"We simply couldn´t overcome his non-presence on the court, it´s of course not his, but our fault, I´m disapointed....", T.J. Ford claimed.

Francis had 6 points, Marbury 4 assists, and New York again led. 66-68.

In the last, the Bucks just couldn´t turn thins around. Marbury and Frye made the points, two important treys by Jalen Rose and Qyntel Woods gave the Knicks a 3 point lead.
Last 20 seconds Bucks sent New York to the line, but they made a good job giving the ball to Francis, who made 4 freethrows to seal the deal for them.

Milwaukees best was T.J. Ford scoring 17 and dishing out 10 assists.
Stephon Marbury had 25 points 8 assists and 3 steals, Channing Frye had his career-first 20+ game with 22.
Quentin Richardson and Crawford added 14 apiece.
Maurice Williams socred 21 of the bench, team game high.

The Dunk OF The Night was posted by Jamaal Crawford, soaring through the Bucks´ defense on the break.

Play Of The Day had Stephon Marbury with a crossover + No-Look pass !

Rookie Nate Robinson improved his Inside Scoring and his 3pt Shooting by 1.
But will he play for the Knicks any longer ?
With Jamaal Crawford starting, Francis coming off the bench, Robinsons´ playing time is just limited to about 4 minutes.
That´s not enough for a player of his potential, an athlete and power jumper.

Image

Nate, who is only averaging 3.5 points and 1.8 assists in 7.0 minutes of playing time, may be traded.
The Knicks need a rebounder.
Rumours about Nate for Reggie Evans of the Nuggets spread around.
ImageEvans is averaging 1.0 rebound in only one game in this season.
Both teams would benefit from this trade, but Nate probably has more potential.
So what to do ???

New York Knicks (1-3) vs Portland Trailblazers (4-1)

From MSG Center, New York

Last quarter kicks Knicks, Blazers go 5-1 !

Knicks lead till the 4th, Telfair helps Blazers to get the win

After their first win this season, the Knicks came up short again. This time their weak concentration knocked them out.

The Knicks started strong in the first, when it looked like an easy win for them, because the Blazers could´t find the bucket and fouled a lot.
Stephon Marbury and Channing Frye again showed their one-two punch
playing style scored 6 each to give the Knicks a 7 point lead.

The second quarter was dominated by the Knicks again. Although they couldn´t build their lead, they played nice basketball, especially in the post.
Eddy Curry gave big problems to the Blazers´ defense. He had 8 points and 5 rebounds in the 2nd.
The Blazers started hitting most of their shot, especially Martell Webster, who posted 2 threes.

Telfair and Randolph, the key-players couldn´t get it going due the great defense by Frye and Marbury, 2 blocks and steals by them.
The 2nd ended with a 7 point lead again, 40-47.

The 3rd quarter was a big one. Both teams did their best offensive effort this season.
Zach Randolph scored 8 of his season-low 11 points, and had also 6 rebounds.
Telfair started heating up, with 10 points, he had only made 1 shot before that.

Image | Sebastian Telfair

The Knicks did also a great job, Jamaal Crawford showed two big dunks,
and Eddy Curry one monster block on Telfair.
Each team scored 27 in the 3rd, so Knicks again lead by 7, 67-74.

"This is when you start to get less aggresive, but you know you shouldn´t, well, we did.", Stephon Marbury said later.
The 4th was the best basketball seen by the Trailblazers this season.

Sebastian Telfair scored 13 point in this quarter, made 2 3point plays and dished out 3 assists.
"Simpley amazing, what this kid did today, i´m really glad", Nate Mcmillan cheered.

The Knicks hit only .332 in the last quarter, and had 5 turnovers.
The Blazers lead with 1:22 left to go, and played well defensively then.
Knicks didn´t deserver a win with this unconcentrated performance.

Player Of The Night was Sebastian Telfair with 25 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds. Zach Randolph had 11 and 16, Martell Webster scored a career high 21 points.

For the Knicks, Stephon Marbury scored 16, Channing Frye 19 and Eddy Curry 16. Knicks had a season best 40 rebounds, Curry 12 and Frye 10.
Crawford and Francis combined for 20 points, but it wasn´t enough.

The Dunk Of The Night was a sick alley oop by Jamal Crawford.
The Play Of The Night was posted by David Lee with a great solo-effort.

Get Jamaal Sampson.

He plays on Kings. If he's not there he's in FA for minimum. He's killer on rebounds.

New York Knicks (1-4) vs New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets (3-4)

Marbury, Richardson help Knicks past Hornets

Knicks win their second, with 88-100, Hornets go 1-4 on the road.

It´s only the second win for the Knicks, but they deserved it.
In front of 18.000 fans, the Knicks didn´t start good.

The Hornets connected on their first few shot attempts, J.R. Smith made 6 points and Chris Paul had 3 assists.
The Knicks had their first attempts over Frye, who couldn´t make three shots in the first.
Stephon Marbury did his best to keep New York in the game, scoring 8 points. Quentin Richardson and Eddy Curry combined for 11 points,
the Hornets led with 3, 19-22.

The second showed an equal performance by both teams.
J.R. Smith hit 2 spectacular dunks, and Speedy Claxton showed a great 6th man performance, scoring 10 in only 7 minutes.
The Knicks had some problems with the Hornets´ spectacular slashing style, but were able to limit them at the boards.

"For the first time this season, we understood how to keep our opponents off the board, we did a great job in boxing out", Larry Brown said.

At half time Knicks still trailed, 42-45.

But in the 3rd they exploded.
New York totally outrebounded the Hornets, and played hard defense.

"They played hard, fouled a lot, we simply couldn´t make our free throws", Chris Paul claimed.
Hornets shot only 10 from 19 from the charity stripe.

Quentin Richardson had 2 threes and when Stephon Marbury made a layup with a fake behind the back pass, Knicks led by 1 and the crowd went nuts.

"That was a cool move, but more important is, how the crowd reacted, we felt confident and let it go", Marbury said.

He had 8 points in the 3rd, "Q" added 9, and both combined for 6 assists.
The Hornets weren´t able to answer, missed their freethrows and had a horribly running offense.

After this one, Knicks led by 9, 61-72.

In the 4th Hornets bounced back a little bit, limited their deficite to 5 for a short time, when Macijauskas hit his only 3, but they couldn´t get the momentum on their side.
Knicks hit the freethrows in the last minute, and made clear their 2nd win.

Player Of The Game was Stephon Marbury with 24 points, 5 assists, 3 rebound and 2 steals shooting 11-16.
Quentin Richardson added 20 and 6 assists in his best game this season.
Jamaal Crawford had 14 points, Curry and Francis 10 each.

The Hornets best performer was J.R. Smith, he had 20 points, but only shot 8-25, 0-8 from three point land.
Chris Paul had 11/5, Speedy Claxton and Desmond Mason 12 each, P.J. Brown 10 points and 8 rebounds.

The Hornets were outrebounded 44-30, dished out only 12 assists and shot 2-15 from beyond the arc.
New York shot .917 from the charity stripe and .544 from the field, but only 3-17 from 3 point area, all hit by Richardson.

The Play Of The Game had Chris Paul, "CP3" posted a big block on Jamaal Crawford.

The Dunk Of The Night was a posterization by Eddy Curry.
