Well at least during the regular season when you were losing some games.
Kidding.

RedNation News Article
Rockets made uplifting moves this offseason.
After a successful season, the Rockets look to be heading the same way this upcoming season. The Rockets managed to re-sign Yao, to a 2-year contract, worth $32 million. Good signing considering he's the franchise player. Also the Rockets re-signed Jared Jeffries, Kyle Lowry, Shane Battier, Luis Scola, and Chase Budinger. Also the Rockets made some trades.
In the draft, the Rockets had the 30th and 60th picks. The Rockets drafted Gregory Costa, out of Purdue. When it was time for their last pick, the Rockets didn't have a roster space left, so what did Daryl Morey do? He sent David Andersen and the second round pick to Memphis for their pick (38 overall), Brad Halstead. This last minute trade helped clear a roster space, and not have to break the 60th pick's heart. More info on the Rockets' rookies later.
In the off-season, the Rockets also made another trade. The Rockets sent Trevor Ariza and Jermaine Taylor to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Ray Allen. This is sure to be big for the Rockets as Ray Allen can be a reliable backup for Kevin Martin. Ray Allen was interviewed on the scene, "I was disappointed in not winning a championship this year. Hopefully with the Rockets, I can dig for the second championship I've been looking for. The Celtics team I was with couldn't beat this Rockets team, so if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" A pure shooter, he will only make the Rockets' free-throw percentage much better than it already was, as they led the league in that category.
Now let's get to the Rooks. Gregory Costa is a 7 foot C/PF. He impressed Daryl Morey with his play. "I love the way he plays. He's a rebounding machine, and can score on the low post. He is also a great defender and shoots pretty well for a big man." Gregory Costa led his Purdue team to the NCAA Tournament and got them to the Elite 8, but lost a close contest against Ohio St. He comes to the Rockets as a backup, in case one of the big men gets injured. Brad Halstead, was drafted out of Fresno State by the Memphis Grizzlies, 38th overall. However, he got traded to the Rockets, he is a 6"9" SF that is fast, but has a bit of trouble shooting the ball. In Fresno State, he nearly lost his spot on the team, after being found with crack in his pants pockets. He was declared innocent, as it was indeed a malicious plan to get him kicked off the team and the school by some Fresno students. They were caught and kicked out of the school. However, he is known for his mischievous behavior.
A fresh new season is to start, and we hope the Houston Rockets defend the title well, and hopefully repeat. Expect more coverage throughout the season from us at RedNation. Let us know your opinion on the off-season moves, constructive criticism is allowed.

The Decision
"October 29, 2003, 7 years ago was opening night for the Cleveland Cavaliers where rookie LeBron James did his job, 25 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, but it came in a loss against Sacramento. Now let's fast forward 7 years later, where LeBron James and the Cavs were eliminated in the Conference Finals of the playoffs, and now there is a big question on where LeBron will go. Well the waiting is over, let's go with Jim Gray who is with LeBron James, Jim," the "Decision" started with Stuart Scott setting the scene.
"Thank you Stuart," started Jim Gray. "Now LeBron, what have you experienced this summer, because it is probably the hottest topic in the league about you either staying in Cleveland, or you signing with another team."
"Well, it's been tough, you know, I was disappointed to get eliminated in the playoffs, after all that hard work in getting the Cavs to contend again. I've been thinking about it for days, weeks, months," replied LeBron. "You know my whole family has been telling me that they'll support me no matter what team I go to. It's been a nice run with the Cavs, no doubt we are a great team, this season we were the strongest ever, I mean, we were one game away from the Finals, we were up 3-2, but we got too cocky, and lost in 7 games against the Bulls."
"No doubt you've had a really successful career, you're a former MVP, and many people are questioning what you guys would've brought to the table against Houston, had the Cavaliers gone to the Finals. What do you think?" answered Jim Gray.
"I think we could've been closer to winning a championship than the Bulls. I mean, it's hard to tell, because the Rockets are a great, an excellent team, you know with big man Yao, and Kevin Martin came from having his best season. I mean, it would've been tough, but we tied the season series at 1 if you can recall. I'm sure if we would've beaten the Bulls and the Rockets, I wouldn't have had to go through all this thinking. I mean, Dan Gilbert assembled a very good team in Cleveland, Mo Williams was great, and 'Tawn was excellent too. But I always felt I was missing something, a missing piece to the puzzle," replied LeBron.
*They continue to drone on for almost an hour*
"This brings us to your decision, as we are all aware, you have a choice in where you want to sign. Have you come up with a final decision?" said Jim Gray, sounding very eager.
"I have, made my decision this morning, in fact. I thought it over and over, and I've finally made my decision." replied LeBron nervously.
"What team, what fortunate team are you willing to go to?" asked Gray seriously.
"I'm taking my talents to the Sooner State and joining the Oklahoma City Thunder." said LeBron. "Why?" asked Gray. "They have a nice young team, very talented. I'd like to play alongside Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. You know they got last place last season, that helped them towards a first overall pick. They drafted a legitimate big man, and now their fortune is growing higher, I am deciding to sign with the Thunder, that is my final decision." replied LeBron James.
"I respect your decision LeBron, good luck. Well there you have it ladies and gentlemen, the best player in the game has chosen to play in Oklahoma City." said Jim Gray closing out the show.
