With the draft not far away, the New York Knickerbockers have invited draft prospect Andrea Bargnani for a workout to look if he is ready for the league. Bargnani is supposed to be among the top 5 picks of the 2006 NBA draft
Andrea is a very gifted forward, a Dirk Nowitzki like player, Larry Brown praised after the workout.
"I want to play in the NBA, I think I am ready for this, but I have to work very hard to be successful", Bargnani said.

Andrea Bargnani has a really good shot. He is able to shot over smaller defenders. He is also able to go to the basket and play one-on-one with the defender. His shot blocking is decent. His rebounding is ok, but not the best part of his game. He has good footwork and is quick for a 6-11 footer. Bargnani still needs to work on his strenght. He needs to get stronger to post up. His passing is not the best. He has not proved himself enough due limited playing time in the Italian league.
The Knicks think that Bargnani has some big potential, but is he worth the risk ?
Information
Name: Andrea Bargnani
Position: F
Birthplace: Rome, Italy
College: Italy
Birthdate: 10/26/1985
Height: 6-11
Weight: 240 lbs.

ONE OF THE BEST POST SEASON RECAPS

The finals are gonna be interesting. Too bad Melo missed that shot.
I like that type of players like Bargnani, but I think he is not worth the risk picking him with top 3 pick.

Hmm... Your team needs a potential Big Man, how about Tyrus Thomas?
Fri Jun 16, 2006 4:51 am
I dont think I need a big man.
Eddy Curry is my MVP for this season (what a honor ...

)
and Channing Frye is my future, his game is very important.
But youre right, Tyrus Thomas is intresting since he is a F and pretty athletic and stuff. Well I will scout for him

Another visit for the New York Knickerbockers: Rudy Gay, among the top players of the 2006 draftclass entered the MSG training center to show his skills to the Knicks officials.
He has the right passion for the game and really wants to play professional basketball, GM hov assert after the workout.

Rudy Gay is one of the premium Forwards of the 2006 NBA draft.
Gay is very athletic, he jumps very high and is very quick. His dunking skills are above average, he could become a highflying player.
He is very versatile. Can do pretty much everything on the offensive end, slashing, shooting, especially from midrange.
He is a unselfish player with superstar potential. Can pass the ball and is very tough to defend. He is strong enough to play in the post.
He has passion for the game and has the will to get better.
His ball handling is not better than average. He must gain maturity.
Information
Name: Rudy Gay
Position: F
Birthplace: Baltimore, MD
College: Connecticut
Birthdate: 8/17/1986
Height: 6-8
Weight: 220 lbs.

Yeah Eddie Curry is a solid center in the game

Maybe he will become a power superstar next season. Yeah I'll go for a SF type of player like Addam Morrison or even Rudy Gay.
And AI the MVP nice...and very good shooting by him this season. Tough loss for Denver

I think the finals are over. Although next will be in Denver, Pistons should win 3-0 or 3-1.
Chris Paul was 100% sure to become ROY
I'm really looking forward to your offseason

The New York Knicks welcomed another potential Rookie, who could make it in the NBA next saison. Forward Tyrus Thomas was invited by Knicks GM hov and they had a long conversation.
After that he showed his skills in several one-on-ones and a single shootout with coach Larry Brown.
This guy is amazing. We would really love to see him wearing a Knicks jersey, but I think we are not the only franchise thinking of that. l, GM hov said later, the Knicks do still not know their picks since the lottery will be after a potential game 4 of the finals.

Tyrus Thomas is a very athletic player for a 6-9 footer.
His leaping ability and his explosiveness, especially when dunking the ball is very good. Although he likes to make it happen near the basket, his 12-15 foot jumper and his turnaround jumper are well developed.
His arms are enormous in length allowing him to grab boards and to block shot easily. He is extremely gifted and could turn out to be a power player like Amaré Stoudemire.
His body is not full developed. He has to gain weight and muscles.
This makes him a risky pick, since he is so gifted that he may not want to work hard and to gain the weight.
His character is questionable.
Information
Name: Tyrus Thomas
Position: F
Birthplace: Baton Rouge, LA
College: LSU
Birthdate: 8/17/1986
Height: 6-9
Weight: 219 lbs.

I think you will go with Morrison or Thomas. But it is only my prediction.

I'd like to see Thomas...

The last visit of a draft prospect in New York was the one by Rodney Carney.
The Memphis forward was seen at the MSG training Center.
You all know, we are willed to take a forward in the draft and we have to deal with every top forward in this draft. Rodney is a strong player.", GM hov meant after he was questioned about Carney´s visit.

Rodney Carney is the prototype of a swingman. Being able to play forward and guard this guy can jump very high and is very quick.
His dunkings are one of the best in college at the moment.
He has improved is jumper, which is unblockable because of his elevation. He can get up and grab boards.
A very confident player, tough defender. His stealing is at a high level.
He needs to train his body and gain some weight.
His shot selection is not the best.
He could be stronger and have a better ball handling.
His passing is on a low level, lacks court vision.
Has a special problem, since he uses his right hand too much.
A bit lazy.
Information
Name: Rodney Carney
Position: F-G
Birthplace: Indianapolis, IN
College: Memphis
Birthdate: 4/5/1984
Height: 6-7
Weight: 205 lbs.

I don't know, I think you don't need that type of player.
Maybe time to end this season? C'mon update it, I simply can't wait for offseason
