Going back to 90's baby! I remembered some quote I read from the 2k11 cover, "I can sing Nirvana songs again and watch Power Rangers!"
hehe... that was just random, good luck with finals. I am sure this is going to be easy

Should be a good series. They did beat Boston and Cleveland to get there after all. Might go to game 6?

Good luck.

I still can't believe how the Bulls pulled it off until this point. I don't like that roster, except for Rose and Warrick and a couple of others...

This will be a easy matchup for you. Good luck!

Another Sweep

Congrats on making it to the Finals, though no big surprise there. As much as it pains me to say it, the Bulls are going down but they've had a pretty good run. The sim engine has been quite kind to them.

If the sim engine is correct, this series shouldn't be as easy as it looks.

With a dominant roster that has everything a basketball team needs to succeed, anything short of a Finals appearance is just a disappointment. The Bulls had a Celtics-like run here. If the sim engine is right, they might force me to 7 games.

Well, that's the thing. The sim engine in NBA Live 10 is not always right.

Played my first game today, not gonna spoil anything though. Anyways, couldn't play the second game because the power switched off and on at my house during the 1st quarter, and I felt too lazy to fire up my PS3 again and restart the game. As of now though, the Bulls have given me a challenge.

2-game Recap
Houston Rockets 109-94 Chicago Bulls

Though the score tells you that this was an easy game for the Rockets, getting that big of a lead was hard. The Rockets had to endure hot shooting from Derrick Rose, who just couldn't be stopped, and the multiple offensive boards from Joakim Noah. On offense though, they were very fluid. Kevin Martin's 30+ point streak was ended because of the Chicago Bulls. This game he got a bit of payback, scoring 31, and not even letting the biased refs stop him from earning his first title. "We've made it this far, it's too late now to get eliminated," said a proud Martin. Yao Ming and Aaron Brooks also had solid games, with 19 and 17 points respectively. On the Bulls' side, Rose scored 31, and Brad Miller spent a lot of time in foul trouble, eventually fouling out.

Rookie Taj Gibson has enjoyed good minutes due to Miller's foul trouble.
Houston Rockets 104-93 Chicago Bulls

Great defense from Battier and the rest of the bench has been a savior, especially when the opposing team can't miss.
This game, was just like Game 1. Except, the first half was a close contest. What killed the Bulls this game was turnovers, their 10 turnovers compared to the Rockets' 3. Struggling from 3, the Rockets got their act together in the third, after a deep three by Donte Greene to open up a 13 point lead. Taj Gibson, unknowingly, left Jared Jeffries open behind the arc. Jeffries, who is inconsistent at times, hit the open three after a dish from Martin, and that brought the Rockets up by 17, the lead eventually stretching to 21.
In the 4th however, garbage time told the Rockets to bring forth their bench. But the Bulls battled back, coming within 9, but the Rockets held on, and go up 2-0 as the series shifts to Chicago. The Rockets better not get carried away, this Bulls team is known for causing upsets in these playoffs, and players like Yao, who struggled this game, need to keep their heads up, because the Rockets lost in Chicago during the regular season.

Break out the brooms. Bulls are done.

Was surprised to see this Bulls team make it so far, so I expect an easy sweep for you.

Sweep coming
Maybe a buzzer-beater by the Bulls to win a game, that would be nice.
Wed Aug 11, 2010 10:55 am
Blow these next three games and take the series to seven games just for the hell of it. These playoffs have been way too easy for you.
Wed Aug 11, 2010 11:03 am
Still seems pretty one-sided, as I thought it might be. I too am expecting you to take the next two in Chicago.

It was a nice Cinderella run after all.

A sweep is suitable, but considering I couldn't beat this Bulls team at Chicago in the regular season, we'll see how it pans out.

That would just be another Lakers series.

Could quite possibly happen, as the Bulls have gone to 7 games in all of their series to get to the Finals.

We'll see, next recaps will be up in less than 24 hours.

2-game Recap
Houston Rockets 107-99 Chicago Bulls

Yao Ming's focus was never lost throughout these playoffs.
After two tough losses at Houston, the Bulls came out more focused this game, and did not allow the Rockets to gain a double-digit lead. Great games by Rose and Brad Miller helped the Bulls keep up with the Rockets. However, if it weren't for Kevin Martin's 46 points, the Bulls might've won. Kevin Martin had a 24 point first half, and even though the Rockets had to depend on K-Mart to score, other players brought in the scoring load. The Rockets go up 3-0, one game away from a championship.

Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah seem to be the only ones trying to win a championship on the Bulls.
Houston Rockets 103-94 Chicago Bulls

Kevin Martin= Finals MVP- 29 ppg, 3.6 apg.
This was basically a Game 7 for the Rockets. They had to come out and win to win a championship as fast as possible. The Bulls tried as best they could to prevent that. Kevin Martin challenged Isiah Thomas' record of most points in a Finals quarter (25), scoring 21 in the opening quarter, finishing with 40, and dishing out 9 assists. But it wasn't just k-Mart producing. This game had to have been the Big 3's best performance yet, as Yao Ming scored 16 and grabbed 10, and AB scored 18 and dished out 10. The bench also arrived with some help, Kyle Lowry scored 6, and Shane Battier also scored 6. However, the Bulls' best players also had good games. Rose scored 24 points and dished out 12 assists, while Noah scored 18 and grabbed 14 boards. The Bulls could not win a championship, they made a great Cinderella run, but their roster wasn't good enough to defeat the Rockets, and they will need to upgrade this offseason if they want to come back and challenge again for the Championship.

I'm sorry I had to sweep you Bulls Andrew.

Here's proof of the Rockets' championship run. Not a clear picture, but it's readable.
