Review http://www.nbaliveforums.com/ftopic30611-0-asc-0.php and it'll give you the submission windows for your season length.

Wow, 10 posts in like 2 days...I think that's like a record for me!

Ok, I'm gonna have a bit of a yap about the concert last night. It stunk. The people stunk, the supporting act stunk. Kanye stunk. Thats what you get when Common is actutally the star of a show... I love Kanye, but he disappointed me last night. I was expecting something decent... I've seen some of his live shows before on the net and i always notcied when he did Jesus Walks, he'd be panting and losing breath at the last verse. But one would think that touring for so long, you'd get a lil better?

He was actually sounding higher and higher as the show went on. Whats' worse, the atmosphere was crap. Noone got into it and I hate thos stupid chicks (Damn gold diggers) who were there screaming 'we love u kanye' and then constantly asking each other, 'omg, wat song is this?'

If theres anyone that proves a studio can make u sound awesome and way better than u really are... Kanye is that man. No disrespect to him or anything, he's ok.. but not worth 80 fucking bucks. I like his songs and stuff. I loved his albums and the mixtapes (thanks flo for giving them to me!) and I loved it when he collaborated with other guys like Common and Jon Legend. But Live, he was shit. (N) He's not a performer... at least not a live one... he should stay a producer. I really think that Jay Z and Dame Dash must have been getting pretty desperate to let him release his album. (Although I admit College Dropout is awesome)

Firstly, the venue was horrible... the stage was too small. The orginisation was shit... intermission was standing there for ages smelling other people sweat and fart. (N) The show wasnt on time at all... we waited 50 minutes for the first supporting act... then another 20 minutes for the second guy.

^^ The supporting acts were horrible. The chick was good at the beginning for 30 seconds without music. The guy was a bitch. Don't know how he won an ARIA... but then again, I've learnt that ARIAS mean jack all. He didnt even try to get the crowd into it. I thought his backup vocal guy was actually better than him. What's more, he yells, 'C'mon Brisbane, put some more energy into it. You guys are just shit now' and jumps off stage and runs off. I'm just thinknig, 'If you were decent, I'd make noise.'

Then waiting for Kanye was horrible.. from like 8:45 to 9:30 we stood there. Stupid people behind me were going, 'dont push us' and guys in front kept shoving everyone back. I'm just thinknig, If you dont wanna get pushed round, dont come in the first place. Stupid superficial bitches.

Kanye comes out and does his thing. Good for the first song, only average for the rest of it. He says something like the strings were practising from 10am in the morning... I just thought its really lame to be this disorganised... at least the strings could have practised or learnt there stuff beforehand so the concert runs mroe smoothly?

So Kanye comes on - he wasn't that good live. I guess maybe I was expecting too much of him... but, as i said, i knew he wasnt gonna be too good. All i wanted was a decent live show where he was into it too. He showed not much energy and took 3 minutes to fucking change one jacket... wat a bitch.

It was average... not worth 80 fucking dollars... and they were trying to sell shirts outside for 45 dollars... if the concert was good, i would actually get one. (N) I guess I will just screen print my own.

And yes, the star of the show wasnt Kanye, it was Common and De La Soul... now those guys were pretty good. Especially since all of them got up and Kanye stood to the side trying to get into it. Very not impressed by Kanye West last night. Not impressed at all...

Anyways, that took a bit longer than I thoguht... I gotta go do my assignments now lol Shit, got 2 essays due this week, 1 next week and 1 in a fortnight. Uni sucks (N) If the assesment wasn't BAM, right in ur face as a first year, it'd be easier to adjust.

What makes things worse, our big man and PG quit our team for another club... so more recruiting for me. Joy. :x

sucks about your players quitting for another club (N)

as for concert, I've heard rap, hip hop & R'n'B are hit or miss for those sort of things....some can perform live, a lot can't....but it's usually the organisation of the events that screws it up even more....

I suggested rock concerts because the thing with most rock groups, is that they are good live....they learn to play by playing the pub scene & know how to interact with the crowd & create atmosphere....

sucks you had a mediocre time though (N)

as for uni, yeah, it's like that....work isn't too difficult, it's just every subject seems to schedule all their exams & big assignments in the space of one week....I remember one year I had 3 big exams & 2 huge assignments due in the space of 7 days....that was interesting  good luck & keep your head up

- I guess I'm not too stressed yet... on the verge of finishing my final draft before doing the good copy for my journalism assignment... and I basicalyl gave up on that last research question... its way too challenging... still cant find that damned article after 4 days of searching on that database...

And yeah, I see where ur coming from... I guess its easier also for a rock band to get a crowd hyped up too... I'd rather go dance at a club with hip hop music... but with rock its more jumping around! <-- I cant picture dancing to rock...

- Yeh man... I guess he wasnt that bad but the occasional teste blowout did not rock my jocks. (N) and man, i'd welcome u on my team any day! Thats how desperate we are... nothing to put u down or anything... btw, u know we play U20s men right?

X wrote:he doesn't play in opens, so there's no way I can play either

- besides, X lives too far from here! And also... anyone can be our defensive star.. thats how crap on d we are.

dee rip wrote:Kanye's nice, but he probably had a bad day, things happen and like you sad no one was getting into it, so he didnt get much support.

- Well, to think bout it, yes there was support. But it was so damn poor and those people who didnt know songs from his album and didnt know who Common was really screwed up the concert atmosphere. I couldnt be screwed to do nothing cause of them people espcially some bitch in forn of me yelling, "Sign my CD Kanye' and 'I'm the future!'

Oh yeh, I wouldnt be surprised if he was real tired cause he got into Aussieland the day before the gig...

H Rock wrote:When I first saw your dynasty, I thought that all the guys in your dynasty had gone to a Kayne West concert

I dont think so... But I wonder what would happen if the hawks did go to see Kanye... would they be at the front or the back?

I'll probably be moving early next year....I'm actually gonna call the co-ordinator of my local comp & enter a team in for next season....we have 5 able bodies so far  me, coldsmoke, a mate who got hit by a car when he was like 11 or 12, which half paralysed him but he worked through it but has gimpy arm so he can only go right; also a 36 year old bald Accountant from my old work  he actually went to Nudgee & was the team's PG....he used to go to all the Bullets' camps etc when he was younger....he's got really good dribbling & ballhandling skills from what he shown....final person is a mate from school....he was better than me the last time I played with him in grade 9, but we'll see, he's my height so at least we've got 2 guys just above 6 foot (Y)

we'll probably fill out team with random walk-ons  outside chance of my brother being a token player as well  let the good times roll

most of the stars suck in real life man, thats why they put their songs on CDs, because they can edit em and stuff.

Common and De La Soul had their own little routine... it was pretty cool. Kanye and them were all on at the same time... Kanye said, 'On stage we have the past, present and future of hip hop'
