thx, yes Big Z is putting up big number, he was 30+ in several games this year !
And L.A. had injuries, like Mihm, Smush and Kobe, but they are still weak.

Didn´t notice you at all, nice new sig, I ´d love to have one with Howard and Dirk ;)

April, 12th

The New York Knickerbockers welcomed Adam Morrison for a workout at the MSG Training Center. Morrison is supposed to be drafted by the Knicks, since he would fit perfectly. He is a scorer type of player, something the Knicks missed all season long. His potential seems to be limited, but he might help the Knicks from the very first game, to get the former winning franchise back on the track.

We really like what we saw, he has some great skills and should fit in our system", Larry Brown told the press after the workout.

"This is a great place to play, definitely. But it won´t be my only workout , I want to talk to different people...", Morrison meant.

ImageImage

Adam Morrison is a typical scorer. He has a very good shot, from 3p as well as in the post. Has a solid first step allowing him to penetrate. He has a good court vision and is able to pass the ball. He is not good in backing down. His rebounding is weak and on the defensive end he is a non-factor most of the time.

Information

Name: Adam Morrison
Position: F
Birthplace: Spokane, WA
College: Gonzaga
Birthdate: 7/19/1984
Height: 6-8
Weight: 205 lbs.

Morrison would fit more into your lineup, better than LaMarcus, you reported previous. You don't need another Frye type player, and Morrison would be perfect scorer for your team. Whatever you will draft, hope that you will do BETTER than this season

Yeah I agree with Marquis...Morrison would definitely fit in your roster. You'll probably lose Van Horn in the off-season so you'll need a SF  Hope you'll get a top pick in the draft so you can choose a ROY-type player :)

New York Knicks

April, 13th

DALLAS, April 13 (Ticker)---
The New York Knicks visited the still not qualified Dallas Mavericks.
Dallas took the game quite seriously and played a very good ballgame.
For the Knicks it didn´t seem like they were playing for anything, even not for fun.

They went into the 4th with a 10-point lead for Dallas, which only increased.
Josh Howard scored 30 points and grabbed 7 boards to earn the player of the game award.
Dirk Nowitzki added 19 on a 8-9 shooting and 13 rebounds.

"I like what I saw. Players like (Howard) and (Terry) are so important, it ain´t all about Dirk.", Avery Johnson said.

And Josh Howard showed his A-game. He shot 15-footers and went to the basket. Only his freethrow shooting wasn´t perfect, 4-7.

The Knicks had a career game by Channing Frye, not really noticed by anybody in this tough loss. Frye scored a career-high 30 points, shot 13-23 from the field and added 3 blocks and 5 rebounds.

"I told them to give him the ball more, this was a test, he is our future and did quite well.", Larry Brown claimed later.

Jamal Crawford added 13 and Eddy Curry 12.
But the Knicks were outrebounded 40-30 and shot only .15% from the line.
They also couldn´t handle the strong bench, Devin Harris scored 12 with some crazy drives.
Another loss for the Knicks, now being on a 6 loss streak.

NEW YORK, April 27 (Ticker)---
Another disastrous loss, the 7th in a row for the New York Knickerbockers.
Although they came back in the 4th a little bit, it still wasn´t approximately enough.
The Pistons had 7 players in double digits and showed that they have the role playes to win the title.
With a 12 point lead at halftime, the Pistons stayed aggressive in the 3rd and had a 21 point lead at the end.

Rasheed Wallace was the player of the game, scoring 19 (8-9 FG) and grabbing 16 reobunds.
Tayshaun Prince also added 19, Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton 17 each.
"Big Ben" Wallace scored 14 with two hammer dunks and grabbed 11 boards.
The Pistons starting five combined for 86 points. simply amazing.

The Knicks had a good game from Keith Van Horn and Jamal Crawford. They scored 20 and 18 points, "KVH" shot 4-7 from downtown.

"I really like what I saw, Keith wants to play, I think we may talk to each other about his contract.", Knicks GM said.

The other Knicks couldn´t really find their game, the starting frontcourt combined for only 18 points.
They were outrebounded by 14 (32-46) and fould 14 times more than the Pistons. Their 3pt-shooting, however, was excellent with 9-21.

It aint over yet, last game will be vs Lakers to play out which team is the worst of the league (recordwise)

Well, he went on vs Dirk most of the time and had some good switches allowing him to face smaller players.

Yes, he is out for the season, I cant remember in which game rexactly, but you can go through the recaps if you want to know some details ;)

New York Knicks

May, 1st

ImageNew York Knicks 88
ImageLos Angeles Lakers 105

ImageImageImage

LOS ANGELES, May 1 (Ticker)---
The last game of the season between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks was a lil bit of a special one. Both teams were on 7-21 record and it was all about who will be the last ranked club in the NBA.
At the one hand the chances are way bigger to get the 1st draft pick.
On the other hand it is all about honor and no one wants to be last.

And Kobe Bryant, ambitious as usual, grabbed the game for the Lakers.
He killed the Knicks with a three pointer and a And 1 play in the 3rd he gave the Lakers a 9 point lead which they never lost after.

Devean Geroge added 15 and Smush Parker and Kwame Brown 11 to make an end on an eight loss streak.

The Knicks played weak, Keith Van Horn, however, showed a big game.
He made 4 threes and scored 20.
Nate Robinson added 16, Channing Frye 14.

For both teams a catastrophic season has finally ended, with the Knicks on the last sport and the Lakers one in front of them.

With Portland´s loss vsCharlotte(
90-99) and the Spurs winning at Phoenix (102-96) all decisions have been made and the Playoffs are ready to begin !

"Well, we definitely missed our goals this season, but we haven´t sleeped and we won´t sleep, but work, look for some big changes to be announced next week.", GM Hov said.

Ah, too teams with great history sharing the last place.
It is good that you lost. Now you have great chances to get first pick.
I like Kobe pic. His shooting was too good, 17-19 FG made

Oh yeah, we are in the NBA playoffs, where the best teams of the NBA battle out the World Champion, the NBA Champion.
It´s exciting as every year, there will be thrillers, highlight plays and big atmosphere when the Playoffs tip off this week. Here is your Playofftree for the 2006 NBA Playoffs.

Image

Now let´s take a look at the league´s matchups in our

Image

WEST

Image (20-9)
Image (18-11)
------
The Houston Rockets played a fenomenal season. They had the best record of the league and two MVP type players in Yao (24.4 PPG) and McGrady (27.7 PPG). It´s not sure if their bench can contribute well, especially in Playoffs.
The Spurs had a good season. 18-11 is a strong record but only rank 8 in the hard Western Conference. But Tony Parker missed 11 games due his knee injury and will be available and fully healthy in the Playoffs.
The bench should be better with some veterans. Go-to-Guy Tim Duncan had a good season (21.4 PPG/13.1RPG).
This one is tied, no prognosis.

Image (18-11)
Image (19-10)
------
Dallas and Phoenix had both good season playing more offense than defense. The Suns played their run&gun style with a very balanced offense and their whole starting five in double figures.
The Mavs had Dirk. "Dirkules" played great and has good chances to be the MVP (27.3 PPG/10.1 RPG).
Phoenix in 5. Steve Nash has the ability to control the offense and each starter can score.

Image (17-12)
Image (18-11)
------
The Nuggets only made the playoffs because Portland couldn´t handle the pressure and lost vs Charlotte. They have Carmelo Anthony, who was the 2nd best scored of the league (28.2 PPG) and a Defensive Player Of The Year aspirant in Marcus Camby. But Kenyon Martin played a bad season and the SG position makes problems.
The Grizzlies bounced back with an eight win streak and have their momentum on their side. Their bench is better, but Pau Gasol is not that strong especially against Camby.
The Grizzlies take it in 5. Their shooting is big in this series and their bench is better.

Image (19-10)
Image (18-11)
------
The both big suprises of the year.
The Clippers played it strong through the whole season and have two players who prooved to be stars. Corey Maggette (27.8 PPG) and Elton Brand (20.1 PPG/13.2 RPG) played big, Sam Cassell and Cut Mobley make their starting five on of the best in the league.
The Hornets had a great run at the end of regular season and managed the Playoffs suprisingly. Rookie Of The Year contender Chris Paul made a good job in leading the team. Swingmen Desmond Mason and J.R. Smith played very well (18 PPG each) and David West has chances for the Most Improved Player.
Clippers take it in 4. New Orleans is too young and has no post weapon.

EAST

Image (19-10)
Image (13-15)
------
Best in the East: Detroit Pistons. Most balanced offense - best defense - toughest players. These are the points which make the Pistons so good.
Their record could have been better, but is still very good.
The Bucks are lucky to be in the playoffs, but there is simply no better team left in the East. Michael Redd had a good season (26.8 PPG), Andrew Bogut played solid.
Pistons take it in 3, but Milwaukee managed goal number one after draft pick one.

Image (16-13)
Image (16-13)
------
Two equal teams match up here.
Cleveland did quite well, LeBron led his team with MVP allround stats. (21.1 PPG/9.5 RPG/5.9 APG/2.0 SPG/1.0 BPG), Zydrunas Ilgauskas came up big in the last games of regular season. Larry Hughes is another big factor for the transition game of the Cavs.
The Pacers had a great start, but couldn´t stay at the top of the East and see themselves in a difficult situation. Jermain O`Neal should be able to make his points, but the Cavs perimeter D could stop Peja Stojakovic and Stephen Jackson.
Cleveland in 5. Defense makes it in this one.

Image (15-14)
Image (14-15)
------
The Miami Heat had a pretty inconsistent season. Shaq and Wade played big at times, but when they didn´t, the Heat lost. The role players have to iimprove in order to win this series.
The Bulls in their 2nd consecutive playoff appereance.
Kirk Hinrich led a team of youngsters with his court vision and his scoring, especially his shot (.416%/200 ATT).
The Bulls will have trouble to defend big Shaq, but have a chance to win it with their strong shooting.
Heat take it in 5, it will be close, but Shaq and Wade should make it for Miami.

Image (17-12)
Image (14-15)
------
The 76ers had a great season and another MVP season by Allen Iverson.
Leading the league in scoring (28.7) and steals (2.45) "AI" almost single handed led Philly into postseason. Chris Webber is another factor.
Samuel Dalembert showed his great defensive potential.
Big Three and then ? The Nets have three potential All-Stars but a weak bench and problems at the glass. Vince and RJ should cause problems but the boards will be a big question.
Philly in 4. No postgame = no postseason.

Great read. (Y)
OMG Spurs are 8th with 18-11. West are so strong
West have interesting matchups and no one can say who will advance next and it won't be surprise when 8th Spurs beat 1st Rockets.
In the East there are some favourites such as Pistons and 76ers, who should advance easily.

Thank you, oh yes Western Conference is so tough, you cant say who will make it in the end.

76ers are pretty good, thats right, Pistons should make the conference finals I think.
