trubucksfan wrote:nice update, maybe im thinking of another lakers dynasty but i think kobe has been battling injuries for alot or your season has he not? you have the most balanced laker scoring i have ever seen! even i would be tempted to shoot a little more with kobe!

nope its the 1st time bryant got injured, mihm always got injured in my dynasty though.

about the balance scroing, well bryant still own the ball as he shot the most every game. but i also try to up his assists and rebounding just like in real NBA. though i wont like the idea of Bryant averaging 27 or more points coz i believe kobe dont needt to score much coz Lakers also got Odom.

SbHZmAFiA wrote:it couldve been something that happen in the miami-lakers game (in your dynasty) kobe tried to play the injury off when him and shaq had contact. lol, anyway nice update and i would like to see kobe hurt seriously just to see how well your team plays without him (not to jinx you or anything) but it would be very interesting.

i also like to see more seriuos injury on Bryant and forced me to play without him. But as the Birdie Board says, Odom was my dynasty MVP.
Also Bryant playing injury will only make him more prone to a serious injury.

Sun Dec 26, 2004 1:58 pm

yeah, i was hopeing that bryant would be out, so you would have to play with other players, making you see how you really are without bryant, as well as test him value, because during the stretch you can see really how much you need him, or not. but still, at least he didn't tare an ACL or break him arm.
good job on the updates, looking foward to the challenge of without kobe at 100%

Los Angeles Lakers @ Los Angeles Clippers

Marko Jaric was on fire in the 1st quarter as he scored 17 points to lead the Clippers to a 27-23 advantage against the Lakers. With Bryant still bothering by his injury can’t find his shooting going but helped the team with his passing. Also Devean George came big time for Lakers, filling the scoring of Bryant in the 1st half.

George continued his game brilliance on both end of the court and Bryant absence was not greatly felt as the Lakers built a commanding lead. They held into it until the final buzzer. George finished with 28 points and 6 rebounds.

New Jersey Nets @ Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers got a better performance from Bryant but it was Odom who carried the Lakers in the 1st half to survive the trio of Kidd, Jefferson and Carter. Lakers led by 9 points in halftime. Thanks to the 21 points by Odom and Mihm added 8 points.

Kidd took over in the 2nd half and tried to lead a Nets comeback but again Odom served as a torn for the Nets. Odom finished with 38 points and 15 rebounds to chalk 2nd win for the Lakers.

Charlotte Bobcats @ Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers played this game without Bryant, who sat out this game to rest his injured finger. But Lakers took the Bobcats too easy and were surprised to see a very dangerous expansion team. Bobcats showed on of their best performance scoring 36 points in the 1st quarter alone. They led by 12, 36-24. Lakers then settle down in the next period and made it defensive game. They limited the Bobcats to 11 points while only scoring 15 in the 2nd half.

In the 2nd half, Lakers played their game and completely turned this game around. They exposed all the Bobcats weaknesses. The double digit deficit they faced in the 1st half was now a big 10 point lead. Brian Grant stepped up for the Lakers to finish with 26 points coming from the bench. Okafor led his team with 19 points and 18 rebounds.

Emeka Ofafor 19 points was not enough to lead his team for a vctory.

wow man, the bobcats really suck ass... and you went 3/3 without bryant and other guys are stepping up, maybe you should just trade him, get rid of his huge contract, seeing as you are doing just fine without him... lol. j/k
good job.

actually it's just 1 game i played without kobe, the other 2 he play only limited minutes. He struggles on the Clippers game. I will try to play without him against the portland and spurs coz i want him to be 100% come ALL-STAR. coz i'm afraid he might not make the ALL-Star coz of injury.

You're halfway through the season, Micchy Boy...Please send me your pstat file! :)

Let's see if Odom is still the Team MVP!

Lakers heard that Jerry West has an eye for this rookie prospect. A 5'10" pint guard from Memphis named Desmond Jackson, SbHZmAFiA in NLSC. A projected late 1st round, he plays like an off-guard but might need to slide downto point guard due to his height. A decent shooter, a good ballhandler and a team player, traits that Jerry West wants in a player. And we all know that West is a person that actually know which player have a potential to be a star, just like he did in LA. Dez is not yet a starter quality but will definitely be a great back up point guard in any team.

Let's see his profile:

Portland Trailblazers @ Los Angeles Lakers

Image

Another game where Coach Rudy T decided not to let Bryant plays. But with only 2 minutes in the 1st quarter, Atkins goes down with an arm injury. But Lakers looked alright as they even built a 10 point lead despite playing without their starting backcourt. Portland Trailblazers made a move as they close the gap to 5 in the 2nd quarter.

Caron Butler was on fire as he scored 22 points to equal the performance of the entire Blazers team in the 3rd period. The Lakers then held on to that momentum and win this game by 13 points, 103-90.

San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angels Lakers again played without Bryant. Lakers again jumped to an early lead. Spurs, trailing by 10 points, looked even worst when Devin Brown got injured early in the game. Lakers scored 35 points in the 1st quarter. Lakers shooting went down in the 2nd quarter but still managed to hold on to a 10 point lead during halftime.

Spurs then showed one great defensive game in 3rd period and limited the Lakers to 15 points and grabbed the upper hand, 74-72 with 1 quarter left to play. Both team traded baskets and Spurs were able to hold on to the lead. Lakers got a chance to put the game in overtime or even win it with 1.7 seconds left in the game. But without Bryant, their go-to-guy, they covered Odom and let Atkins shoot the last shot. Atkins missed it badly and Spurs win and led the season series 2-1.

Screenshots from the Game

Chris Mihm finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds, but have a hard time guarding Duncan.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Houston Rockets

Kobe Bryant came back and started the ballgame. He showed no rustiness as he scored 10 points in the 1st quarter to help Lakers to a 29-24 lead. The game turned into a shootout as Bryant and McGrady traded baskets in the 2nd quarter. But Lakers still led by 3 after the 1st half.

Both team continued to shoot very high from the field. Rockets grabbed the lead midway in the 3rd period but Lakers recovers and built a 5 point lead going to the last period. Still trailing in the game, Rockets made a run a grabbed the lead once again. But this time, they were able to protect it with timely rebounds and baskets from Yao, who struggles in the entire game. Rockets win their season series, 3-0.

Another player locked for the top 3 spot in this coming NBA draft. Elijah Toroc, cocobee in NLSC, might be the best offensiveplayer in the draft. He can give any team 20 points and 10 rebounds performance in any given night. forward. He stands 6'9" and can play any position except the Center position. But he's not only a scoring machine, he can play decent defense and play with lots of hustle and energy. Charlotte Bobcats, who probably pick 1st in the coming draft, were definitely looking at this player.

thanks, i know you will be great.

by the way i forgot to post the other game results. maybe i post it on my next update. i hope its later. already played 2 games and might play 1 more.

also if you noticed, im somewhat struggling and losing lately, i forgot to says that i tweak my sliders ald lower the shooting and other stuff to make the cpu have the advantage. the reason i do this coz i'm getting used in playing Lakers and blowing every team. just looked those 6 winning streak i have, i almost a blowout or double digit lead. with the new slider, im losing again and its more challenging. just hope it won't affect my season, im currently 2nd in pacific and now 3 1/2 game behind the Kings.
