Tough loss, from your recap I think I can picture that last shot very clearly. The CPU is a lot more generous in giving itself the benefit of late whistles on shooting fouls while getting away with knocking down your shooters while the ball is in the air. It reminds me of a loss I had in my 06 Dynasty when the CPU tipped in a shot after the buzzer had sounded and everyone else had gone into the walking off the court animation, forcing an overtime where the comeback logic took the game from me. Very frustrating, but on the bright side it's not completely unrealistic since bad calls do happen in real life (and how).

Thunder overcome Dallas at home

Oklahoma City ended a 4 game road trip with a loss in Minnesota. They return home tonight to take on the Dallas Mavericks.
They got right down to business in the first quarter. Kevin Durant had 10 points for the quarter, including a jump shot to beat the buzzer.
The Thunder lead 25-14 after one. It became clear that Dallas would be looking to Dirk Nowitzki as their main scoring option.
He had 24 points by the half as Dallas rallied to lead 49-48. Kyle Weaver hit a three on the buzzer to keep the Thunder in touch.
The third quarter was an arm wrestle. Both teams applied defensive pressure and good shots were hard to come by.
The lead changes several times as both teams looked for a decisive break. The scores were tied 79-79 with one to play.
In the fourth the Thunder continued their defensive pressure, but also managed to break through at the offensive end as well.

Oklahoma City Thunder [45-11] vs Houston Rockets [33-26]

Thunder beat Rockets again

Image

Oklahoma City again hosted the Rockets, 2 nights after beating them comfortably. No doubt the Rockets would put up a better fight this time.
The Thunder did start the game in similar fashion to the other night, but the Rockets stuck with them. Thunder lead 26-19 after one.
The Thunder's defense dominated the Rockets in the second. They only managed 17 points for the quarter. Thunder lead 49-36 at the half.
The third quarter was a very defensive affair. The Rockets seemed more focussed on stopping the Thunder than scoring themselves. Thunder lead 70-55.
However, the game opened up in the fourth and both teams started making shots. The Rockets reduced the lead by 5, but it wasn't enough.
The Thunder eventually won by 10, 96-86. Durant had another 29 points. His scoring streak now stands at 25 games.
It was an excellent night at the free throw line for both teams. Thunder were 24-25 and the Rockets were 23-24.

Thunder stung by Hornets late push

Image

Oklahoma city came into this game on a 3 game winning streak. They hoped to continue this form against the Hornets at home.
The first quarter was very tight. Chris Paul was running the Hornet's offense superbly. The Thunder lead 24-21 after one.
The Hornets managed to get the lead in the second. They successfully stopped the Thunder's offense. Hornets lead 46-41 at the half.
The Thunder staged a gutsy comeback in the third, despite having Green and Wallace on the bench in foul trouble with 4 each.
The scores were tied at 69-69 at the end of the third. The game was set up for a magnificent finish. The crowd was willing it's team on.
The lead changed many times during the first few minutes of the fourth. BJ Mullens and Kevin Durant were leading the way for the Thunder.
With 2 minutes left in the game, the scores were tied at 83-83. The Hornets then went on a 13-0 run as the Thunder couldn't buy a shot.
With 1:20 to go Green fouled out. Then 30 seconds later Wallace also fouled out. The Thunder lost 98-85.
Thunder coach Scott Brooks was furious with the refereeing, in particular the amount of fouls called against his team.
The Thunder got called for 25 fouls, while the Hornets only got called for 6. Also, the Hornets had 41 free throw attempts to the Thunders 10.
Kevin Durant had another good night. His 30 points extended his scoring streak to 26 games.

Two strong games against Houston, sounds like a pretty unpleasant fourth quarter against the Hornets though. Good to see the streak is still alive.

Thunder produce stunning fourth quarter to beat Pistons

Image

Oklahoma City travelled to Detroit to take on the Pistons off the back of a disappointing loss against the Hornets at home.
However, it was the Pistons that started the game better. They stopped the Thunder offense well. Pistons lead 28-20 after one.
The Thunder showed their fighting spirit in the second. They came back to level the game by half time, 50-50.
The third was a great contest. The lead went back and forth. Russell Westbrook hit a shot with 0.8 seconds left to give the Thunder a 75-73 lead.
The Pistons failed to keep up their intensity in the fourth and the Thunder ran away with the game. Thunder went on to win 108-94.

It's the second time this season I've played Houston in 2 consecutive games. I've won all 4

The Hornets game was so annoying. Every time they drove into the paint the referee called a foul on my player. But they were perfectly fine rugby tackling my players down the other end :?

Also, since I've had the internet on my PS3 and I updated the game, it seems harder to score. Is that true or is it all in my head? :|

Oklahoma City Thunder [47-12] vs Washington Wizards [23-40]

Thunder escape Washington with narrow win

Image

Oklahoma City flew into the nation's capital looking for their second win of the season against the Wizards.
The first quarter was tight. Both teams were playing aggressive defense. The Wizards lead 20-19 at the first break.
The game opened up a bit more in the second. The Thunder clawed their way back and lead by 3 at the half, 45-42.
Again like the first quarter, both teams were more defense minded in the third. The Thunder held onto their 3 point lead.
In the fourth quarter both teams relaxed their defensive mindsets and started attacking the basket more. Much to the fans delight.
Kevin Durant had 14 points in the fourth and helped lead his team to a 94-88 win. He held his nerve late on to make all his free throws.
He finished the game as top scorer with 31 points. Extending his scoring streak to 28 games of 25 or more points.
Ben Wallace had a good game as well. He set the example for his young team mates to follow in defense.

Ah, the missed dunks and dunks that roll or bounce in. The updates re-enabled rim stuffs, which can sometimes be a problem or at least result in dunks rolling in like that one. Nice block.
