C.J Miles beats the buzzer and the Clippers.


C.J Miles didn't have any fear and knocked down the long three over Randolph.



It was a dramatic once again for the Heat in their opening game in the month of December.

However the game was pretty much certain, as the Heat had the ball and a 4-point lead with 39 seconds
to go. Rondo's pass was intercepted and Randolph scored two points in the fast break, as he hadn't got
back on defense yet.

Dwyane Wade wanted to be the hero once again and pulled up for a deep two and missed. Camby pulled up
from 18 feet and missed, but Zach Randolph was there once again to clean the boards and tied the game.

It was tied with 16 seconds to go and everyone expected Dwyane Wade to have the ball and create.
That happened, but the Clippers knew it too, as they double-teamed Wade, who was forced to pass
it out. C.J Miles had Randolph all over him, but a ball-fake got him free. He pulled up and drained
the three. Final score 91-88.

The Heat continue their home stretch as the Suns come to visit.

newly acquired Sean Williams, who was traded by the Nets for James Jones and Haywood Toure. In another deal, the
dissatisfied Tony Allen was shipped to Minnesota Timberwolves, exchange for the Timberwolves first round draft pick for
next years draft. The Heat needed to get rid of Allen's services, as he made it quite public he wanted out of South Beach.
The draft class is pretty weak, so it may not help the Heat in the long run, but does help the chemistry for now. "

Once again, the Heat couldn't secure the rebound in the final seconds..



Those were the headlines in the next day's Miami newspapers, as a final-second tip-in left
the Heat with a loss. Stromile Swift was the hero this time. The Suns win 98-97.

The Heat made a good push late and had a 2 point lead with 28 seconds to go, but Steve Nash
hit a three from the corner to put the Suns up by 1. D-Wade called an isolation and threw down
a dunk over three purple shirts. Still, there were 6 second to go.

Jason Richardson tried to be the hero and pulled up for a three, D-Wade all over him. D-Wade saw
the shot was not gonna go in, but quickly a vision of Brad Miller in Chicago ran through his mind.
When he saw the 6'10'' Swift getting good post position for a rebound against the 6'8'' Haslem, he
still had hope in his teammate.

But Swift had no problem grabbing his fifth offensive rebound right from the air and putting it back in.
After this devastating defeat, the Heat finally travel away from Miami, as they face the Memphis Grizzlies,
led by their rookie superstar, the first pick Lenny Crabman.
