Boston Celtics (10-15) vs New York Knicks (6-12)

Knicks get knocked out !

New York with 5th loss in a row, 106-99.

NEW YORK, February 27 (Ticker)---
It´s another step back, maybe it was the last chance for a dream that just shouldn´t come true for the New York Knickerbockers organisation.
With the 5th loss in the last five games the Knicks sealed another trip to the lottery.
The Celtics won a lot of confidence with their 2nd consecutive win to make the playoffs.
And they have chances when they play like this.

The first quarter was a very good one. But only by the Celtics.
Paul Pierce opened the game with a beautiful runner just to have a break letting his teammates do what they had to do.
Michael Olowokandi, "The Kandiman" showed one of his best games he had in his career and had strong 8 points in the first.
Wally Szczerbiak added 6 and showed his smooth jumper.

Stephon Marbury was the only Knick to play at least well with 6 points and 2 dishes. The again bald-headed Marbury wasn´t really satisfied with his colleagues.

"It´s so hard to see your mates no trying to win, some of them really didn´t show that they at least tried to win it, that´s what I said to them after the first., an angry Marbury said.
The Celtics led by 7 after the first, 26-19.

Marbury´s words seemed to give the team a boost, the Knicks came out strong narrowing the gap to 2.
Jamaal Crawford scored 6 points in the 2nd, and seemed to have improved a lot.
Steve Francis played on the 1-guard spot when Marbury set out resting and scored 6.

The Celtics noticed that the lead went less and gave the ball to Paul Pierce, who scored 8 in the 2nd.
"The Truth" didn´t have any problems to post up and scored all of his first 10 points in the zone.

Their defense wasn´t that good, but I give credits to Delonte West and our bench that we won this, Double P said.

Ryan Gomes and scored 6 points and Delonte West eight, which means only three players scored in the 2nd for the Celtics.
The game was tied at 48.

After the halftime the Celtics came out on fire.
"Wally World" hit a deep three and Michael Olowokandi a putback.
Delonte West dished out 4 of his 8 assists in the 3rd.
Kedrick Perkins and Gerald Green scored 4 and 6 off the bench to simply overrun the Knicks.

Stephon Marbury, who hit 3-7 from downtown made a long range bomb, but the Knicks just couldn´t defend the Celtics, almost every player was on fire.
Steve Francis added 6, Channing Frye 4 and 4 rebounds, but the Knicks trailed by 7, 80-73.

The last quarter the Celtics just tried to defend their lead.
Gerald Green hot a three and Pierde a 15 footer to give them a 12 point lead.
The Knicks never came back and gave their bench players some time.
Keith Van Horn hit a three and David Lee had 3 off. boards, but the Knicks loose 106-99.

Delonte West was the Player Of The Game with 22 points and 8 assists.
Paul Pierce scored 19, Wally 12 and Michael Olowokandi 14.

For the Knicks Stephon Marbury had again a good game with 23/6.
Steve Francis added 17 and Jamaal Crawford and Channing Frye 12 each.

The Celtics were hot from the field, .63 for them.
For most experts the bench advantage was on the Knicks´ side, but the Celtics bench outscored them 35-30. They had 6 players in double digits.

The Play Of The Game was an alley-oop by Al Jefferson, The Dunk Of The Night a sick one by Jamaal Crawford.

Jamaal Crawford made a huge step in his shooting, reporters, who watched the Knicks training sessions, claimed.
His mid range shooting got way better (+2) and he also improved his three point and free throw shooting[+1).
His passing and his ball handling looked better, too. (+1)

The program is called the coaches best friend, you can find it anywhere in the announcement section. you just have to save the boxscorer of every game and copy it into the folder of this prog.

You can take a look at almost every lil shizzle a player does :)

Wow a losing streak not so good at all :? But as Marquis said if you'll continue this way you'll have the possibility to improve your team with some great prospects in the off-season  . But that doesn't mean all is over you still have 11 games to go and you can still improve :)

Sacramento Kings (12-11) vs New York Knicks (6-13)

March the 7th, from Arco Arena, Sacramento

Kings reign Knicks in a close good match !

Abdur-Rahim´s 27 bring Kings a 91-92 win.

ImageImageImage

SACRAMENTO, March 7 (Ticker)---
The Sacramento Kings did the next step to make sure they will make a trip into the postseason eight-seeded as they beat the struggling New York Knicks, who suffered their 6th consecutive loss.

The first quarter was dominated by defensive plays.
Both teams tried to find their rhythm, but could´t connect on several jumpers.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim made 6 points, and was the dominating low post player. For the Knicks new starter Jamal Crawford had 6 points and Stephon Marbury 4 assists.
But the game was only 18-20 for the Kings.

New York played really good basketball in the 2nd quarter.
Jamal Crawford showed that he has improved a lot, especially his shooting, 8 points for him.
But Shareef was still playing very hard post scoring basketball and had 6 points.
Channing Frye had a hook and Steve Francis made a thunderous slam to give the Knicks a 1 point lead but with the last possesion Ron Artest scored with a drive. Sacramento led by 1, 44-45.

In the 3rd the Kings came out nailing two threes which gave them a good boost. Larry Brown called a timeout and ordered to give the ball to Jamal Crawford.
Crawford, a fast and dangerous slasher used each possesion, in which Ron Artest didn´t guard him to drive vs Bonzi Wells and make easy baskets or draw the foul.
He had 9 points including a three.
The Kings still ran their game over Abdur-Rahim.
Ron Artest, who had a team-high 6 assists missed on several shots before he started to pass the ball allowing his teammates to score.
The Kings increased their led to 5, 66-71.

In the last the Knicks did their very best, but it wasn´t enough.

"It´s pretty hard to loose like this, but I think this was a step forward, Jamal did very well, he is our future", Stephon Marbury said.
He scored 5 in the last and Eddy Curry, who did a good job at the glass added 8, but Abdur-Rahim had other plans.
He scored 8 and had 4 of his 6 rebounds in the last.
With 0:05 to play and a one point lead, Bonzi Wells had to throw a deep three before the shot clock ran out, but missed it.

The Knicks took a timeout.
But no for the first time, the players didn´t know who to give the ball.

"I can´t understand and accept that, we had a clear play called and they didn´t play it out", an angry Larry Brown shouted.

In the end, Quentin Richardson, who was banned to the bench, because of his weak performances got the ball. He was 0-5 from the field and scored only 1 point so far. He took a heavily contested shot and missed it, Kings win 91-92.

The Player Of The Game was Shareef Abdur-Rahim with 27 points and 6 rebounds. He really showed that his goal to reach the playoffs for the first time is reachable for the Kings. Mike Bibby added 13, Bonzi Wells 12 and Brad Miller 10.

The Knicks high-point man was Jamal Crawford with 25. Stephon Marbury added 17 and 9 dishes, Eddy Curry 14 and 10 boards and Channing Frye and Steve Francis 12 each.

The Knicks had a season high 10 blocks, but only 16 assist. They outrebounded the Kings 32-28. The only reason they lost was Shareef.
Next game will be in two weeks at home vs Charlotte.
The Play Of The Game was a streetball pass by Stephon Marbury finished by Jamal Crawford. The Dunk Of The Night was a hammer by Shareef.

thx for your comments, daaaaaamn another loss, it was really close, but im pretty satisfied with Crawford, he hits many more shots than he did before ! Q doens´t really fit into my system, maybe as a bench player, but he is overpaid for that in my opinion.
