I've already got Ha

Hey, you can never have one Asian big man too many.

And Deron Williams seems to have imitated Kobe in that game.

That hand in the stomach must have hurt.

Dammn ... Deron Williams lit it up man. 37 Points =O
See I told you my man Andrew Bynum will do good. Hahaha.
16 and 14 is fuckin amazing for a guy who avgs 1.0 ppg. Haha.
Maybe the Lakers can consider giving him the minutes he deserves.
Joey Graham had an ok.
Good shit mannnn

Deron pulled a Kobe there...

Bynum proving he belongs with the big boys...

nice go deron...
for some reason i just can't get the awards cutscene to show and its fuckin annoying. i have played the game like 4 times and it just skips right from the players walking off the court to the quit game screen. annoying :x
so now i dont have Andrew Bogut getting the award. shitty live

Sun Jan 22, 2006 6:40 am

Williams with 37...wow!!Good win for rooks.

Sun Jan 22, 2006 9:06 am

Fabulous pictures of the rooks vs the sophmores X, it gave me the impression that the entire game was a blast to play. I hope I see more great footage at the slam dunk contest.

Sun Jan 22, 2006 9:27 am

Good recap. Telfair with 7 assists

EDIT: Andrew Bynum with 16 and 14 yet he averages 1ppg

Deron was unstoppable late....super clutch....he looks to be the future of the Jazz, even though they suck (2-16 overall I think)....

Telfair was mediocre in game, but at least he dished out some assists....as for Bynum, he was a surprise and a big lift for the Rookies....although I did dunk on him a few times

Deron didn't really "Kobe" the game....he had a lot of baskets and treys in the flow of the offense....the amount of treys or long shots that he made as the shot clock was expiring was amazing (and a tad frustrating)....no doubt about it, he was in the zone....

cheers....yep, Deron lit it up....Bynum was good, even if he got posterized 3 or 4 times  can't hurt the Lakers to give him minutes cos they suck (only 4 or 5 wins so far this season)....Graham was average on the offensive end, but played solid D....

as I said, it wasn't a Kobe....as for my boy Monia, he was snubbed  come on, if Bynum gets in averaging only 1.0ppg, how about Pneumonia averaging 2.0ppg

gutted about your Live not showing the Awards cutscene :shake:

was a good win....thought I (Sophomore Stars) had it in the bag until Deron stepped up and put it away

you've never heard of Magilla Gorilla?!? it's a cartoon with a Gorilla wearing purple....considering Bogut was in a purple jersey and hanging onto hoop like a gorilla, the comparison seemed appropriate....

Sun Jan 22, 2006 4:50 pm

PEJA WITHDRAWS FROM THREE POINT SHOOTOUT

By 'The X'
NLSC Insider

Updated: Feb. 18, 2006, 10.13 AM ET --

Former 3pt Shootout Champion and Kings' forward Peja Stojakovic has officially withdrawn from the 2006 3pt Shootout. Stojakovic was hoping to regain his title from a couple of years before, but with no All-Star berth this season, he has decided to stay in Sacramento to rest his nagging injuries.

Stojakovic will be replaced by 1st time All-Star guard, Joe Johnson, of the Atlanta Hawks. Johnson is having a stellar season with the Hawks and once again amongst the league leaders in 3pt%.

With the Stojakovic defection from the Shootout, the finalised lineup is as follows:

Everytime Radmanovic is in the 3 point shootout, he gets like 27 and then does shit

I think Kirk Hinrich will win it.

Sun Jan 22, 2006 7:22 pm

Nah, it'll probably be Salim. He's an amazing shooter.

CAPTAIN KIRK FINDS HIS LOST SHOOTING TOUCH, WINS TITLE

By 'The X'
NLSC Insider

Updated: Feb. 17, 2006, 9.21 PM ET --

Chicago guard Kirk Hinrich has had his troubles with his shooting stroke this season as he has been moved from his preferred position, PG, to his current role as a SG. Those troubles did not show on this night as Hinrich led from start to finish as he edged out late addition, the Hawks' Joe Johnson, in the final 17-16 to win the 3 Point Shootout.

Image
Forget his Frodo-like looks, Kirk Hinrich can shoot better than any other golem or orc around

Kirk Hinrich used scores of 27, 22 and 17 to top all competitors in each round to take the title. For the entire competition he had Joe Johnson nipping at his toes the whole time, as he put up scores of 24, 20 and 16.

ImageImage
Captain Kirk seemed to struggle at the end, but had done enough early to edge out JJ

ImageImage
A late roll couldn't get it done for JJ, he just needed one more money ball and the title would be his

Other notable performances from the Shootout were Johnson's teammate, guard Salim Stoudamire, who narrowly missed out on the final with scores of 19 and 15. Stoudamire just couldn't find his rhythm throughout, but he could became a major force in this competition in the coming years.

The final scoreboard from each round were as follows:
Round 1
Round 2
Final Round

Tune in later tonight as I recap one of the main attractions of All-Star Weekend, the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

Sun Jan 22, 2006 7:34 pm

hehe, I knew I was good. Kirk is the bomb.

Sun Jan 22, 2006 7:37 pm

jugs wrote:hehe, I knew I was good. Kirk is the bomb.

it looks like Jugs was spot on....Radmanovic started strong (24 in 1st Rd) only to fade later (13 in 2nd Rd)....guess he doesn't have the endurance to throw up that many 3's in such a short space of time.... I guess his girlfriend or wife should give me a call

and more importantly, Jugs selected the winner, Kirk Hinrich....

Negative One did well to predict a strong showing from Salim Stoudamire....maybe 2007 will be the year that Stoudamire stamps his mark on the 3pt Shootout....

will try to get Dunk Contest up tonight, but it might not be up until tomorrow night....we'll see how it goes....

cheers

Do I get points for that prediction?

nah, if I was gonna do that, I would have had to give everybody an opportunity to guess....sorry....I'll probably implement something for playoffs like I did in my Bobcats' dynasty, that is if people want me to....

Sun Jan 22, 2006 8:01 pm

Can I get a free beer then?

Sun Jan 22, 2006 8:02 pm

Kirk Hinrich ay ? Pretty cool. Haven't heard from him this much this year.
