Yeah, I'll try. If I do it now, I will be 68-9, 5 games away from breaking your Bulls' record. Would you like that?

It's just a video game. Besides, I've simmed an 82-0 season with the Clippers in NBA Live 2003 (not hard to do with its sim engine, so long as you stack the roster) so I think I can handle it. ;)

True, it's just a video game. I don't think it'd be possible to get an 82-0 season with Live 10's sim engine though. Given how badreligionau's three simmed seasons were epic fails despite having good players.

It is kind of an improvement in that regard, you can't just cheat the CPU out of players, sit back and sim your way to glory. Getting 82-0 seasons in NBA Live 2003 was a bit too easy.

And to be able to go 82-0 with the Clippers is pretty amazing too. Just like NBA 2005 for the PSP, where the CPU doesn't have any authority on trades, you can literally trade a superstar like Shaq for a scrub.

Aaron Brooks hits OT game-winner [49-9]

Postby Axel The Great on Tue Jul 06, 2010 5:50 am

3-game Recap

[46-9] Houston Rockets 103-96 Orlando Magic [32-25]

Image
Jared just kept fouling Dwight Howard.

In what should've been a Magic win, K-Mart's clutch did the magic and turned the game around. The Magic had a slight lead with a couple of minutes remaining. Turnovers and missed FG's killed them, and K-Mart's clutch buckets helped him keep the 30+ point streak alive, as the Rockets came away with the W. Yao Ming looks to be back on track as he was awarded the Sprite Performer of the Game.

[47-9] Houston Rockets 103-98 San Antonio Spurs [40-15]

Apparently, I forgot to take photos of this game. :shake:

The Rockets blew a 19-point lead in the 3rd quarter, and the Spurs made a good run in the 4th quarter, but Kevin Martin's clutch perfomance helped the Rockets escape with the W as his 30+ point streak continues.

[48-9] Houston Rockets 96-94 Utah Jazz [23-35]

No pictures again!!! :furious:

The Rockets found themselves cornered against the Jazz. In the 4th quarter, Deron Williams hit an impossible three from 35 feet to tie the game. With 14 seconds left, the Rockets called a timeout. Bud inbounded the ball to K-Mart who called for a screen, but was stripped of the ball by Deron, and the Jazz gained possession of the ball with 1.6 remaining, and called a timeout. They could not hit a game-winner, and OT was necessary to decide the winner. In OT, other than a FT make by Gerald Henderson, both teams were scoreless for 2 and a half minutes. Clutch shots by both teams were made afterwards, but Kevin Martin's clutch overshadowed the Jazz, and the Rockets were up by 3. Memo, however, hit a 3 to tie the game with 6 seconds remaining.

The ball was once again inbounded to K-Mart, but again, D-Wil stripped the ball from him and all hope was gone for a miracle. However, Aaron Brooks, who had been quiet all game, picked up the ball and made an off-balance shot at the buzzer as the Rockets stole a win in Salt Lake City. K-Mart and AB were interviewed and Brooks said, "I think I'm the happiest man on earth after that ridiculous shot. I didn't know what I was doing, but instinct told me to just fire away, and well, it went in." K-Mart said, "It does not matter if that game-winner was supposed to be mine, AB deserved it all the same as he was sharing the ball all game. I am proud of him, and now we move on to Houston with confidence."

Kevin Martin's 30+ point streak is now at 8 (Teams: Heat, Jazz(x2), Bucks, Pacers, Hornets, Magic, Spurs).

All 3 games were nail-biters, the Jazz game being the worst. I thought AB was gonna miss that game-winner, but when he made it, it left me speechless.

I actually facepalmed myself when I deleted the replay, and words really cannot describe how guilty I feel, so I let the smilies do what they do best.

It was a better game than the other OT game against Charlotte. I still can't believe K-Mart got stripped twice, though.

Tough on the replay (N)

But surprisingly, the MVPs (minus Jackson), playoff teams and league leaders are all pretty consistent with real life.

Liking this alot :D

I've noticed that too. The reason Jackson is an MVP candidate is that the Bobcats start him at PF :?: , so he gets more rebounds, and more blocks. Also if you look at the 3 point shots made/attempted, they are pretty high, but players like Joe Johnson and Danny Granger top the list.

I'm glad you're enjoying this. :D

I thought we were going to a second overtime after K-Mart got stripped.

I should make a huge promise: If I ever come across another game-winner I will do my best not to delete it.

K-Mart's pure dominance [51-9]

Postby Axel The Great on Wed Jul 07, 2010 5:18 am

2-game recap

[49-9] Houston Rockets 98-94 Toronto Raptors [25-33]

Image
The Turk was held to 10 points by the defensive specialist Shane Battier.

The Rockets had a good start to this game, but the Raptors just had a better one. No matter what the Rockets did, Chris Bosh or Jose Calderon always had an answer. In the 2nd half however, poor shot selection stomped through the Raptors. The Rockets' biggest lead in this game was 5, while the Raptors led by 12 at one point. If the Raptors would've just kept their first half play through the second half, the Rockets would've been handed their 3rd home loss of the season.

K-Mart is close to setting his 2nd franchise record.

The Rockets blew an 18-point lead this game, but they made sure the Kings never had the lead. The Rockets shut the Kings down defensively, holding all players to under 20 points. Check out the Big 3's stat line:

Postby Axel The Great on Thu Jul 08, 2010 4:28 am

2-Game Recap

[51-9] Houston Rockets 101-93 Minnesota Timberwolves [20-42]

Picture of Carlos Boozer in his new jersey is supposed to be here.

This was a close game all the way, with both teams trading buckets, back-and-forth. The Rockets were able to pull away before half-time, and were up by 4. Ryan Gomes exploded for the T-Wolves in the 3rd, scoring 12 points. David Andersen also exploded for the Rockets in the 3rd, and he finished the game with 10 points. In the end, the Big 3 once again showed how dominant they were and combined for 71 points, and Aaron Brooks was able to close out the game at the line, going 9/10 at the line. Kevin Martin scored 35 points, once again, scoring over 30 points. Aaron Brooks had 20 points and 10 assists, and Yao had 16 points and pulled 11 boards.

[52-9] Houston Rockets 89-95 Detroit Pistons [31-31]

Image
K-Mart continues his 30+ point wrath, despite losing this game.

This game looked like it was going to be a blowout against the Rockets, but K-Mart prevented that, narrowing a 12-point deficit to 8 points in the 1st quarter. The second quarter was when the Rockets took the lead again, at 40-39, but the Pistons went on a 12-0 run, and the Rockets found themselves down by 9. The Rockets rallied and battled in the second half, but no success as the Pistons are, as of now, the only team to claim a season series with the Rockets this season.

After the game:
RedNation Interviewer: "Kevin, you are now within one game of tying all-time great Moses Malone's streak of 30+ points, despite losing this game, how do you feel?"
K-Mart: "It feels great. I feel confident, I know next game my teammates will try to get me the ball. They, as well as me, want to witness history. Moses, if you're watching, I'm coming after one of your many franchise records, so just be ready."
