Memphis Grizzlies vs. Utah Jazz
December 20, 2005
Memphis Grizzlies - 94
Utah Jazz - 97
(Boxscore) (Post-game roster)
Game Recap: It was a bad game; A bad game from the Grizzlies, A bad game from the Jazz, and a bad game from the referees. After only two minutes of gameplay, there had been called 6 fouls, and had only been 1 field goal. And the general inconsistent calls from the referees continued throughout the game; and because of the odd calls, there was never really any good basketball going on to the dismay of both coaches, players and, not least, the fans. But the referees aren’t the only ones to blame. Both teams failed to really invite the other team to play some good ball, and a lot of the times, they were just running the clock down. Eventually as the game came close to a end, the Jazz went on a 6 point run that the Grizzlies wouldn't be able to respond to as they failed to make something happen at several possessions. And in the end, it was the team that was able to force the ball as little as possible that could walk away with the victory, and that was the Utah Jazz.

- P. Gasol: "You shouldn't blame anything of the referees, but after this game, it's hard not to..."
- M. Miller: "It was rediculous. I mean they could at least have been consistent, but no. It wasn't a good game by far from their side, y'nah mean"
Notes about the game:
- Deron Williams was awarded with the MVP after his game high 30 points
- The Jazz was called for 6 personal fouls, while the Memphis got called for 16
- After the first quarter, there had been called 9 fouls
- Darko Milicic made a nice debut with the Grizzlies, and had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block and 1 assist in 13 minutes

Damon Stoudamire played a really shitty game as well... tough loss
Tue Mar 21, 2006 10:59 pm
Yea, he did. Although no player really played that good to start with (tho Miller played ok), so I forgive him
The X wrote:was that the extra size you were talking about?!?

Matchup Preview: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Clippers
23/12 (7:00 pm) @ Staples Center
The Memphis Grizzlies have chosen to, yet again, start Chucky Aktins over Damon Stoudamire as the starting PG. The Grizzlies team commentator, Mikki De La Rea, said that there was no special reason behind the decision other than the fact that Atkins has been playing better than Stoudamire so far this season.

Nash out for two-three weeks
Phoenix, Arizona - December 22, 2006
Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash underwent successful surgery today to correct a fracture in his left foot. As a result of the procedure, Nash isn't expected back on the basketball floor untill early January. In 11 games played this season, the reigning MVP, Nash has averaged 15.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest.

naughty miller but the injury sounds promising in hopefully being able to get a higher ranking seed in the west if the suns don't play well while nash is out
Wed Mar 22, 2006 12:21 am
Nice Mike Miller article

. Hopefully you'll bounce back and defeat the Clippers, with good referees

Tough loss Andreas.
Nice Warrick pic
Are you still hesitating of trading or not Stoudamire? I think he should be traded, because he plays really terrible
Wed Mar 22, 2006 2:09 am
Thanks. Yea, I'm still not sure if I should trade him or not. He has done 2-3 good games where he was great, other than that he's been playing rather poorly.
But I won't make another trade soon anyways; maybe at the all-star break, but I'm leaning more towards the off-season instead, and then trading away either Stoudamire or Jackson (possibly Burks as well); Or, maybe even both Damon and Jackson for a very good one...
Wed Mar 22, 2006 2:13 am
Yeah, I think its cooler to give players the chance at least till the all-star break, because you never know when a starter gets injured or stuff, if they play better with more time. It´s more realistic, too.
Great Dynasty I must say again, cool stuff about moaning miller(nice nick I´m noticing) and just great graphical presentation!
Wed Mar 22, 2006 2:35 am
Yea, that's what I'm thinking hova-
After giving it some consideration, why not trade both Stoudamire and Jackson for some young good PG (like C. Paul, D. Harris etc.) and get another player to strengthen my bench even more. Possibly in a 3 team trade...
Wed Mar 22, 2006 5:30 am
yeah fuckin jazz. now that i dont use them anymore as a dynasty they are crap.

Tough loss Andreas... let's see how Atkins plays next game.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Clippers
December 23, 2005
Memphis Grizzlies - 107
Los Angeles Clippers - 102
(Boxscore) (Post-game roster)
Game Recap: The Memphis Grizzlies got of to a better start against the Los Angeles Clippers, than they did against the Utah Jazz last game, which seemed to give them some new confidence. They were able to play a more open and fluent game, and things were looking real good on the offensive end of the court. On the defence however, the Clippers was punishing them time after time by running plays through their superstar Elton Brand. And Brand was on fire in the first half, he had recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds; But after break, he came out trying to do just a little bit too much which hurt the Clippers in the end as the other players didn't get involved as much and got cold. That especially went for Cuttino Mobley who started forcing up shots when Brand wasn't making them, but he wasn't making them either, as he only was 6 out of 22 from the field. And in the forth quarter the Grizzlies took control of the game and outscored the Clipper 25 to 19 that lead way for their well earned 107-72 win.

- C. Atkins: "It felt great to come out here and play good after the team gave me the chance to start. I just hope to get some more starts in the future as well..."
- E. Jones: "It was a nice game. Everyone got a chance to contribute and played very well. It was a team effort."
- E. Brand: "Well I think we played good tonight, things just wasn't falling for us as much as it was for them.."
Notes after the game:
- Pau Gasol got the MVP after putting up 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
- Cuttino Mobley had a poor game as he was only 6 out of 22 from the field
- Darko Milicic was 4 out of 4 from the field and had 2 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 assist
