also about the pj brown pic, in my dynasty i was playin wit suns and i went to check a replay of amare's dunk... then i saw some lil twitch in the replay and i zoomed in and saw that as amare started to run down court he mysteriously vaporized into thin air and was suddenly found floating in mid air...... with his legs up in the air, similar to pj brown except a lil different. amare looked like a buddhist, his head up in the air staring at the ceiling. i wish i had a pic but it was on xbox. hilarious shit :P

LMFAO! i wish i couldve seen that.

another update will be coming today

SUNS VS. ROCKETS
Toyota Center, Houston, 7:00 p.m., PST

TV, radio: UPN 45; KTAR 620
Records: Suns, 27-4; Rockets, 20-11.

KEY MATCHUP: PHONIEX SUNS VS. TRACY MCGRADY AND YAO MING
Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming are captains of the Rockets team and they are the top two scorers of the team. McGrady averages 24ppg, 8.3rpg and 5.9apg, while Yao is averaging 19.7ppg and 10.3rpg. Phoenix will have to play team defense to stop at least one of these players. It will be a very tough assignment.

INSIDE THE SUNS
The Suns own a 16-3 record in the Western Conference and have lost to the 3 top dawgs in the West who own the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spot in the West. The Rockets own the 5th spot. Phoenix is coming off a great 3-point shooting night against the Timberwolves, shooting 12-24 from downtown.

INSIDE THE ROCKETS
The Rockets own the largest winning streak in the league right now, standing at 10 games. They hold a 20-11 record and are 5th place in the Western Conference. The addition of David Wesley and Jon Barry have made the Rockets a better overall team with veteran leadership in the backcourt and on the bench.

Stoudemire and Yao going up for the jumpball to open up the game in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (AP) -- On a team with a lot of weapons, Shawn Marion fired last. Marion scored 13 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and were one of four players in double figures for the Phoenix Suns who defeated the Houston Rockets, 100-91. "We've been doing this all year," Marion said. "Steve (Nash) has been getting everybody the ball and we've been able to put up the points. There's no answer for a team when they're scoring fast in transition." The Suns raised their record to a league-best 28-4 and reached the century mark once again.

"I've never seen a team that keeps you back on your heels when you make a shot," Rockets guard Tracy McGrady said. "I'm talking about every time you make a basket, and we're not used to that. Those guys get the ball out and they're gone." Joe Johnson scored 11 of his 16 points in the opening quarter and helped the Suns win the 1st quarter 25-15 in the game. They never trailed thereafter. Amare Stoudemire scored 16 points, Quentin Richardson added 8 and 5 rebounds and Steve Nash dished out 10 assists along with 20 points for Phoenix. "You can go right down the list as everyone on the team contributed to the win," Phoenix coach Mike D'Antoni said. "They held us to less than we normally score. But we just played a very good game and shot pretty well." Houston closed to 84-81 on Bob Sura's layup with 4:28 remaining but could get no closer as Phoenix scored 14 of the next 18 points.

Stoudemire was one reason why the Rockets could never pose a serious threat. "We played pretty good from the start," Stoudemire said. "Shawn Marion and Steven Hunter were really big for us on crashing the boards. We had to really focus after coming off a back-to-back and we stuck to our strategy." Sura led the Rockets with 22 points, while McGrady was held to just 12 points. D'Antoni's defensive strategy to slow McGrady worked almost to perfection. "Joe and Shawn did a good job defensively," D'Antoni said. "We didn't want to foul him (McGrady) and put him on the free-throw line. He is too good of a player to try and trick him." McGrady wasn't too discouraged by the loss, which ended Houston's ten-game winning streak. "There's no need for us to hang our heads," McGrady said. "We played pretty well tonight. Things just didn't go our way."

You did a pretty good job on T-Mac, but he only took ten shots. Maybe it was one of those "Kobe Nights" where he doesn't think he has to shoot.

it was mainly sura doing the damage cuz he had 22 points  but since i used a bigger lineup in the game with nash, johnson, marion, stoudemire and hunter at times, it was hard for tmac to really score on marion. i think i need to use marion on alot of people like kobe too.

Probably so. Marion is a good defender and shot blocker, plus is big and strong.

Suns Acquire Jim Jackson

Image
Jackson averaged 13.3 points, 4.8 boards and 3.6 assists a game with the Rockets last season.

The Phoenix Suns acquired veteran swingman Jim Jackson and a 2005 second-round draft pick today from the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for guard Casey Jacobsen, forward/center Maciej Lampe and rookie forward Jackson Vroman. “Jim Jackson adds significant depth to our roster and should significantly increase our bench productivity. He is a savvy vet whose game fits our system well,” said Suns President and General Manager Bryan Colangelo. Jackson, who is currently in his 13th NBA season, owns career averages of 15.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 805 games (646 starts) with 11 teams (Dallas, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Golden State, Portland, Atlanta, Cleveland, Miami, Sacramento, Houston and New Orleans).

An accomplished scorer and three-point threat, Jackson ranks 20th among active players with 12,217 points and 25th with 795 three-point field goals. He has a career three-point field goal percentage of .363 and he connected on a career-high 162 treys last season (6th in the NBA) with the Rockets. The 6-6, 220-pound guard/forward was traded from the Rockets to the Hornets on December 27, 2004 along with forward Bostjan Nachbar for guard David Wesley. The fourth overall selection in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Mavericks, Jackson immediately becomes the elder statesman on the club at the age of 34. Jackson, who was the Big 10 Player of the Year at Ohio State during his sophomore and junior seasons, has averaged 10.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 30 career playoff games, including 14.8 points and 10.4 rebounds in five postseason games with Houston in the 2004 Playoffs.

The 2005 second-round draft pick acquired from the Hornets is originally from Dallas. Jackson, who will wear jersey no. 21, will play in tomorrow’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Jacobsen, who was selected by the Suns with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2002 NBA draft, averaged 5.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 19.7 minutes in 190 games in two-plus seasons with Phoenix. In 2004-05, the 6-6, 215-pound guard averaged 4.8 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 31 games. Lampe, who was acquired by the Suns in an eight-player trade from the Knicks on Jan. 5, 2004, averaged 3.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 9.3 minutes in 37 games over two seasons with Phoenix. The 6-11, 275-pound second-year forward/center averaged 0.9 points, 0.2 rebounds and 7.4 minutes in 13 games this season. Vroman averaged 0.9 points and 0.3 rebounds in 23 games this season after he was acquired from the Bulls in a draft day deal on June 24, 2004. Vroman, a 6-10, 220-pound forward, was selected by Chicago with the 31st pick overall in the second round of the 2004 NBA Draft.

Suns Acquire McCarty from Celtics

Image
The Suns have acquired forward Walter McCarty from the Celtics.

The Phoenix Suns continued to bolster its bench by acquiring veteran forward Walter McCarty and an undisclosed amount of cash from the Boston Celtics today in exchange for the 2005 conditional second-round pick the Suns acquired last month from Golden State in a trade for forward Zarko Cabarkapa. The versatile 6-10, 230-pound forward, who spent the last seven-and-a half seasons with Boston after playing his rookie season with the New York Knicks in 1996-97, owns career averages of 5.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 529 games (107 starts). He has a career three-point field goal percentage of .349 and has 421 three-point field goals and 1,208 three-point field goals attempted. “In Walter McCarty we are adding another versatile and experienced veteran player that has developed a reputation as a great teammate,” said Suns President and General Manager Bryan Colangelo. “Walter is long and active, and should provide a real spark off the bench.” In 30 career postseason games (12 starts), McCarty has averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds on .478 shooting from the field. In the 2003 Playoffs, he averaged a career-best 9.9 points and 4.3 rebounds in 35.2 minutes and made starts in eight of the Celtics’ 10 playoff games.

Last season McCarty posted averages of 7.9 points (second highest of his career), 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 77 games (23 starts). His best statistical season was in 1997-98, his first season in Boston, when he averaged career highs of 9.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 82 games. In 31 games in 2004-05, McCarty was averaging 4.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12.6 minutes. McCarty should join the team for tomorrow’s game vs. the Clippers at America West Arena and will wear No. 0 with Phoenix. He was originally selected in the first round of the 1996 NBA Draft (19th overall) by the Knicks after winning a national championship at Kentucky.

No problem Mafia
but i just want to correct your post...

thanks to micchy_boy who did all of the trades in my dynasty through all the dbf editing.

i done all the trades using the TRADE PLAYER MENU. esp those involve draft picks since you can edit draft pick thru dbf.
what i edit was salary of players. like mccarthy. his slaary was big and trading him to suns will not allow since your suns are over the cap.
just to clear thing out

SbHZmAFiA wrote:I dont see that extra trade you was talking about  was you just jokin' or were you for real?

i put back cabarkapa to suns and trade it back to GS, in return you get GS 2nd round pick. you can check it in TRADE PLAYER MENU.
so as of now you have your 1st round pick, GS 2nd round pick and NO 2nd round pick..

ok now i get what you saying, because i forgot that you were getting the other team and sending them the deal to other teams so they could make the trade.

i put back cabarkapa to suns and trade it back to GS, in return you get GS 2nd round pick. you can check it in TRADE PLAYER MENU.
so as of now you have your 1st round pick, GS 2nd round pick and NO 2nd round pick..

ight, now that makes it more realistic since i got the picks. thanks anyway because if it wasnt for u i wouldnt have had the trades  im pretty sure someone else wouldve did it if i asked, but i knew u could do it since u made alot of those deals in your dynasty.

SUNS VS. CLIPPERS
Staples Center, Los Angeles, 1:00 p.m., PST

TV, radio: FSAZ; KTAR 620
Records: Suns, 28-4; Clippers, 13-18.

KEY MATCHUP: QUENTIN RICHARDSON VS. BOBBY SIMMONS
Simmons has proven the type of player he can become in the NBA when recieving minutes. He is averaging a career-best 16.2ppg and 7.7rpg for the Clippers, who are just 5 games under .500. If you look concentrate too much on Maggette and Brand, he can light you up from the field. Richardson will have to do a good job by contesting his jumpers and outplaying him in the post.

INSIDE THE SUNS
The last time the Suns played the Clippers, they embarrased them with a 145-67 blowout. Stoudemire had 33 points, Marion 29 points and 12 rebounds, Johnson 26 points and 8 assists and Nash 25 points and 10 assists. Expect to see a much tougher Clippers team tonight.

INSIDE THE CLIPPERS
The Clippers big: Maggettine, Simmons and Brand will try to lead their team pass the hot Suns. The 3 combine for 56.5ppg and 25.4rpg for the Clippers. The Clippers are sitting 5 games out of a playoff spot and have lost 5 straight games.

Phoenix Too Hot for Clips

Shawn Marion and the Suns face Indiana tomorrow

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- The Los Angeles Clippers handed the Phoenix Suns their final loss of a difficult 2003-04 campaign. The Suns equaled their win total from last season by dominating the Clippers from start to finish. The newest Suns, Jim Jackson scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds and Walter McCarty added 9 and 4 rebounds as the Suns started fast and cruised to a 108-91 victory over the Clippers. Shawn Marion led the Suns with 25 points, while Stoudemire scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while being out for most of the 2nd half with an injury.

With its fifth straight win, Phoenix (29-4) built upon the finest start in franchise history and recorded the ninth-best 33-game start in league history. The turnaround is largely due to point guard Steve Nash, who came over from Dallas as a free agent in the offseason. "I think it's a tribute to all of us," said Nash, who finished with 16 points and 11 assists. "I think I may be getting a little more credit then a I deserve. I know I'm a big part of this team, but I think we're all important parts to our success." The Suns are on pace to finish 72-10 and match the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls for the NBA's best all-time record. "With the addition of Steve Nash and Quentin Richardson, that has made the team great," Johnson said. "We've grown in a year. "This is a championship caliber team. So long as we keep playing hard and staying focused, I think the sky is the limit for us."

This one was never in doubt after a furious first half by the Suns. Marion scored 16 points and Richardson and Amare Stoudemire 14 apiece as Phoenix raced to a 79-44 halftime lead. "We just came out and took them out of the box early," Marion said. "We came in and handled our business. We knew they could show signs of life and we took it out of them."

"That team is like the ocean," Los Angeles coach Mike Dunleavy said. "It's rolling in. It's going to go back, but it's coming. My point is this is a team that comes in waves at you. Their offense keeps coming at you and rolls you. They are the best shooting team in the league, you have to limit their runs." The Suns made 9-of-29 3-pointers for the game and never trailed. Richardson scored 18 points, part of a 94-point effort by the Suns' starters. The Suns bench looked very good tonight with the new additions of Jim Jackson and Walter McCarty. Along with Barbosa, the trio off the bench combined for 23 points. “This something we lacked all season, and that is a strong bench,” Coach D’Antoni said. “We now have added two solid scorers off the bench to compliment Barbosa and Hunter.” Corey Maggette scored 26 points and grabbed 4 rebounds for Los Angeles, which was just 3-of-8 from 3-point range to add to their now 6-game losing streak. As poorly as the Clippers shot, Maggette still praised the Suns. "The Phoenix Suns are a very talented team," he said. "They have so many weapons on their team. Joe Johnson, Q. Richardson, Shawn and Amare. They have a lot of firepower. ... They know how to play."

INJURY REPORT:
Suns star Amare Stoudemire was injured late in the 3rd quarter against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. Suns trainer Aaron Nelson said he had a bone spur in his foot. Stoudemire was taking for an MRI today and the results came back negative which will make Stoudemire still playable. Docters stated that he should be 100% within' 4-5 days. He will start tomorrow against the Indiana Pacers.

PACERS VS. SUNS
America West Arena, Phoenix, 6:00 p.m., PST

TV, radio: FSAZ; KTAR 620
Records: Pacers, 21-10; Suns, 29-4.

KEY MATCHUP: JOE JOHNSON VS. REGGIE MILLER
With all the speculation about this season being Reggie Miller's last season could be out the door. Miller is averaging 19.3ppg for the Pacers this season despite being 39 years of age. Joe Johnson will have to try and wear him down and use his youth against Reggie.

INSIDE THE PACERS
Indiana is 2nd in the Eastern Conference, only behind the Celtics. The Pacers are on a 5-game winning streak with their last two wins coming from San Antonio and Dallas which started their 4-game west coast road trip. After they play Phoenix tonight, they will head to Memphis to face the Grizzlies.

INSIDE THE SUNS
Newcomers Jim Jackson and Walter MCarty will make their home debut tonight against the Pacers. They played a solid game last night against the Clippers. Jackson was 3 points and 3 rebounds away from a double-double, while McCarty scored 9 points to lead the Suns bench in scoring.

PHOENIX, Arizona (AP) -- Amaré Stoudemire only played 20 minutes and scored 4 points, but the Phoenix Suns made a statement en route to surpassing last season's win total, posting their largest margin of victory of the campaign. Stoudemire was benched for most of the game because of a bone spur in his right foot. His only basket came from downtown when he shot a 3-pointer with the shot clock running down and was fouled to connect on a 4-point play. Shawn Marion finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds as the Phoenix Suns beat the Indiana Pacers, 106-95, for their sixth straight win.

Leading throughout the 2nd half of the contest, the Suns improved to a league-best 30-4, topping last season's win total barely 40 percent into the 82-game campaign. The club went 29-53 in 2003-04, finishing in sixth place in the seven-team Pacific Division. "It's a blast," Marion said. "The crowd was into it, we were into it. We were all pumped up and we ran away with it in the 2nd half. They showed no signs of life out there. They were stunned a bit at first and they had nothing for us." In the middle of a four-game Western Conference swing, the Pacers proved unable to match the Suns' up-tempo pace, falling behind 15-3 after a fast-break dunk by Marion and a 3-pointer by Jackson to start the 3rd quarter.

"We haven't shown any signs of being tired at all," Suns coach Mike D'Antoni said. "They seem to be flying on all cylinders. Tonight no one had an off night. We started well. We played well in the middle and we played well at the end." Jim Jackson finished with 16 points and 4 rebounds in his home debut with the Suns and Steve Nash added 16 points and 12 assists for Phoenix. Jackson shot 3-3 from downtown off the bench for Phoenix to lead the Suns bench in scoring. Phoenix bench outscored the Pacers bench 29-17 for the game. Jermaine O'Neal had a bad game shooting 5-18 from the field, but finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Reggie Miller led Indiana with 24.

"They have a lot of talent but the heart and soul of their team is Steve Nash," O'Neal said. "You have to pay so much attention to him and he keeps pressure on everybody. Obviously, they have a lot of individual talent but Steve Nash is the motor that makes the car run." The Suns have won their last nine games at home and improved to 5-0 since the start of the new year. It is only the second time in franchise history that the Suns have started a calendar year with five consecutive wins, tying the mark they set in 1995.
