Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Bryant gave fans some of his fancy dunk

After 2 straight losses, the Lakers try to enter the winning column battling their division rival Sacramento Kings. The Kings were fresh from a 2 exhibition games in China. The 1st quarter was relatively close game with both teams biggest lead was 4 points. Bryant paced the Lakers with his 10 points while Miller took advantage of Lakers lack of big man.

Lakers then made a big run in 2nd quarter behind Bryant and Odom to give them a 12 point lead. But when the Lakers starters took a rest, the Kings headed by Webber and Bibby try to rally their team and only trail by 5 at halftime break.

KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF

3rd quarter was a different ballgame as the Lakers made 1 big run after another. They held the offensive minded Kings to a low 28% FG shooting for a 17 3rd quarter points. On the other hand, the Lakers scored 35 points mostly from fastbreaks. Lakers now lead 82-59 with 1 quarter left.

Lakers bench almost play the entire quarter. This gave the coaching staff to watch young players like Brown, Yanke, Johnson and Vujacic. All but Vujacic were fighting for the last roster spots available. These players made good impressions as they held they ground from some Kings run and were able to hold the lead for their 1st win in pre-season.

Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Odom have a superb all-around game
against the Warriors.

Lakers open the ballgame on the good note, thanks for the momentum they got from last game victory against the Kings. They also put a great defense and held the Warriors only 4 rebounds and no assist the whole quarter. The Lakers lead 25-18 at the end of this quarter.

Even without a single assists for the whole half, the warriors still was in the ballgame. With mostly one-on-one play the Warriors managed to trim the lead to 5. Odom led the Lakers with his double-double performance in this half.

KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF

Lakers then struggle coming from the locker room as they only scored 12 points. Warriors swarming defense forced the Lakers to some bad shot but also missed some open baskets. The Warriors took over the lead and now lead the ballgame 66-57.

Odom then single-handedly brought back the Lakers to the game, scoring basket after basket. The Lakers even took a 4 point lead with 2 minutes left. A 3 point basket by Dunleavy made it a 1 point ballgame. Lakers failed to make a basket and Warriors scores on the other end to give Warriors a 1 point lead. After time-out Bryant drove to the basket bur was double team. He then passed the bal to a cutting Odom for an easy basket. Warriors still have 1 chance to take the game but Foyle shots only hit the back of the rim. Lakers won its 2nd pre-season game.

One of Odom's dunk for another
double-double performance.

Lakers riding a 2- game winning streak came very confident about this game. They got a hell of surprise as the Clippers jump to a big run and limiting the Lakers to only 12 quarter points. Maggette was on fire as he even outscored the
Whole Lakers team 14-12. Only 3 players scored for the Lakers in that period.

Lakers then got they act together and answer the Clippers defense by their own version of defense. The results, Lakers grabbed the lead at 40-39. They held Maggette scoreless and frustrated in this quarter. Clippers after leading most of the game now trailed 45-42 heading to halftime break.

KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF

After scoring 12 and 33 points in the first 2 quarter, the Lakers goes back to earth as they again scored 12 in the 3rd quarter. The Clips turned to Brand as they focal point in offense. But want really impressive about them was they defense forcing turnovers and hurried shots for the Lakers. They once again lead the game 65-57.

Everyone expected another Lakers run in this quarter. But the Clippers always got an answer to Lakers run. Fatigue finally caught up with Lakers as they weren’t able to rally the game. They lost this one 89-79 for a 2-3 mark in the pre-season.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Phoenix Suns

Bryant open up the game with this
one-handed reverse jam in traffic

For the 2nd straight game, the Lakers started the ballgame on a bad note. Scoring 17 points in that quarter was a bad sign for Lakers, but giving up 32 points was even worse. Nash connected for 10 point to lead the Suns. Butler and Bryant had to sit down most of this quarter due to foul trouble.

Lakers then made a run in the 2nd quarter to trim the Suns lead to more manageable lead. Mihm exploded for 12 points in this quarter and took advantage of his matchup against Stoudamire. Another new Suns player, Richardson became the torn for Lakers comeback with his timely shooting to kill Lakers momentum.

KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF

Bryant called for his 4th foul and had to sit down with only 1 minute expires in the 3rd period. With they franchise player at the bench, Lakers look for Odom to carry to load for them. Odom didn’t let his teammates down and almost tie the score. But Stoudamire, Nash and Q proved to be too much for Odom. The Suns then made a run to up their lead once again in double digits. In the end, Lakers trailed by 6 going to final period.

Bryant came back to start the final canto. The ballgame was relatively close all the way. Lakers then grabbed the lead with back-to back trey by Atkins and Bryant with less than 2 minutes left in the game. Richardson then answered with his own version of 3 with shot clock running down to give the Suns 2 point lead. Odom then scored in the next possessions and even had a chance to win game with Bryant last shot.

Going to overtime, the Suns again took an early 6 point lead. Lakers didn’t recover from this and was outscored in the OT 12 to 17 for another loss. Nash scored big 31 points while Richardson added 28.

Not this time Kobe!!!
Johnson only 2 points come from this slam
Matrix struggle but show some highlight like this one
Another putback, this time by Amare
Atkins sanked this trey
And then followed by Bryant...
But Richardson trey was the biggest.

thanks, pre-season serves as a practice for me. you see if i start with my dynasty right away, maybe my record will be 2-14. but now it will be on even maybe 7-7 or 6-8. i also came up with a sliders suited for my kind of play.

i already finished playing against Seattle and my last pre-season game will be against Wizzards and il start right away with the real season now that Andrew realease a v.1.1 of his roster patch.

PRE-SEASON GAMES

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Seattle Supersonics

Image
Grant came back after he got injured in
2nd quarter to score 8 in the next period

Lakers started this game differently, fans used to see a Lakers struggling from the start of every game. Lakers shows smooth offensive plays and precision shooting for a 25 point 1st quarter performance capped by a 3-point buzzer beater shot by Bobbit. Seattle also had a great game scoring 26 points.

Lakers continued their great playing as they raise their lead to double digit most of the period. Even Lakers bench players show some great plays. They finished the 1st half shooting 53% from the field. Grant got injured after colliding with Potapenko. Denver just won’t able to shut the other team and now facing an 8 point deficit.

KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF
Image

Sonics then try to change the tempo of the game but to no avail. The Lakers still was in groove as they scored 23 points headed by Grant, who got injured early in the game. Sonics however faired better as they score 3 more points to cut the 8 point halftime deficit to just 5 heading the last period.

The last run every Sonics fans were anticipating never came. Instead of trying to catch up with the Lakers, it was the Lakers who made a big run in the start of the quarter. The results, a big 15 point lead for Lakers. Sonics then made one last stand but was too littler to late. The game ended 101-92 and Lakers avenged they lost from Sonics in this pre-season.

Some Screenshots from the Game
Odom's one of his many baskets came from a dunk.
Rush scored 8 points, most productive game for him so far
Coach McMillan got a technical for arguing a non-call.
Bryant saw an open teammate when he got double team.
Lewis finished a rare fastbreak with a high flying dunk
Allen sanked a trey from the parking lot
Vujacic also have a good game.
Ridnour challenge fellow sophomore Cook.

I like how you get such realistic scores. Impressive to say the least.

Another thing I wanted to ask, could you try making the screens with the lights on? It looks quite nice then I thinks. This way it looks kind of 2000'ish. Anyways, that's just what I think. Just a suggestion you might consider. :)

Lol, thanks for the kind words. I try to keep up with as many dynasties as I can. List is becoming longer. It went from one dynasty to:

Cocobee's, Kobe4Mvp's, Mafia's, Alex's & now this one. Hopefully I keep seeing new & creative stuff coming up. It's awesome you guys put in so much time, perhaps not all of us post, but be sure, the work is appreciated. All of you guys deserve a pat on the back. (Y) :applaud:

Quite a hot chick btw, from this angle atleast. Hehe, I love that emoticon, it's from the dotorg forums.

Lakers waived Johnson and Yanke
Rosters down to 16.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif, Oct 27 -- The Los Angeles Lakers announced early today that released both Neil Yanke and Nate Johnson from their roster.

Nate Johnson showed great moves and potential during summer camp but was a disappointment in the pre-season. He only average 1.2 points and less than 1 rebound and.

On the other hand Yanke, a 6’11 center show flashes of brilliance in 5 games of playing but still lacks the strength and power for center positions.

Both will sit out the final pre-season game via coach’s decision.

With this development, the final roster spot is now up for grab for just 2 training camp invitee, Brown and Bobbit.
