Bryant won his match-up and the game
against Richardson

This game was a very low scoring game. It took almost 2 minutes before they made the first basket of the game. It ended at 13-12 with Lakers holding that slim 1-point lead. Both teams have a hard time making baskets. Lakers shot 33% while the Warriors shot 26% in the field. Odom scored 8 of Lakers 13 points while Richardson tallied 6 points.

While the Warriors continue to struggle, the Lakers find their game and were able to build a 12 point lead early in the half. The Lakers again limited the Warriors to just 12 points in this quarter for 24 points in a half, a season low. Bryant had another bad shooting night scoring 4 points on 2 of 9 shooting. Odom led Lakers with his 12 points and 6 rebounds.

KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF

It was Lakers turned to experience some scoring drought. They scored only 13 points in this quarter and 11 of this came from Bryant. Dunleavy and Richardson scored 7 points each to help the Warriors came back in this game. Entering the final period, they just trailed by 6 points and the momentum were on their side.

Bryant and Odom made sure there will be another comeback from the opposing team. They extended that 6 point lead to 14 and protected it along the game. Richardson tried to make a run but Lakers were too much for them. Lakers won this one 77-65 to snap their 2 game losing skid.

Some Screenshots from the Game
Divac took a shot after colliding with Davis.
J-Rich led the Warriors in scoring, 2 points coming from this two-handed dunk.
Dunleavy goes for follwo-up dunk.
Odm took advantage of this mismatch, post-up Dunleavy.
Davis was a monster at the board, garbbing 17 in this game
Fisher memorable first game at Staples Center, fnas gave him standing ovasion but held scoreless in the game

Prince tried to walk after that bad fall

Detroit Pistons that they placed Tayshaun Prince on the injury list. Prince got injured in the game against San Antonia Spurs. In that game, Prince was going for a dunk but collided with Ginobili in mid-air. As he went down, he fell on a wrong foot which coz him to fall on the ground. He was still able to stand but was brought back in to the dugout to check his injury. He never comeback to the game.while he was lying.

Later today, he undergoes MRI and found that there a bone spurs in his ankle and need to go surgery. He will missed at least 8 weeks (2 months). If his injury heals on time we will be back just before the All-Star break.

This will be a big blow in Pistons campaign to repeat as champions Because Prince was a major player in this team. He will be remember as the player who blocked the shot of Miller in Eastern Conference finals and the player who made life miserable on Bryant on NBA finals.

With Prince gone, the Pistons saw how shallow their line-up in small forward position. On their next game, Ronald Dupree will start in place of Prince. Hamilton, Delfino and even Ham and Sheed might play some minutes as a small forward. Detroit also not erasing the possibility that they will accept trades from other team esp. those who have lot’s of small forward in their line-up.

thanks bro, about the Bulls game, it seems like i cant make a basket while Bulls have ab easy time to score. about the warriors, ugly or not it was still a win :D .

so if you read the article about Prince, i made that coz he was the player that got injured for a long time, seems like a serious injury and he also a good player. if let say malik allen got injured for 12 weeks, i wont bother making an article about that but it was prince, "kobe final stopper"?

in the end i said Pistons might trade for a small forward and my Lakers have 5 of them. Maybe i can help them by trading some of my SFs.

any ideas who to get and who to trade. pls give some realistic trade options.
here are some i try and was accepted by Detroit.

1. Darko and Delfino for George and Brown
2. Darko and McDyess for George and Slava
3. Bill-ups and Delfino for George and Jones (this is not realistic but the best one).

hope to here some ideas from you all.....

Thu Dec 09, 2004 4:32 am

yessssssssssss! darko! i hope you go for him! billups would be the best for your team though.

i really like darko, even in my live 04 dynasty i try to get him.
about billups, yeah that was my team needs a good PG but i think Detroit will never trade their Finals MVP PG. Not unless he demand ala-Shaq.

Thu Dec 09, 2004 5:16 am

id say if you wanted to be realistic youd have to trade butler to get anything good in return though i think a devean george for Ronald Dupree or Carlos Delfino would be fair in real life. of course youd have to have some other people in the deal to make salaries work.

Thu Dec 09, 2004 6:04 am

i actually think you should get the 3rd one, because you never know what people will do, doesn't matter real life or sim.
and btw
do you think my cyberface is ready?

yeah maybe Butler, i can get his game going for me but i like to develop him. Trading George for Dupree or Delfino will not help me since i more in need of quality PG or PF.

yeah 3rd one was good but i dont want to rip detroit. i also try a 3-way trade like this

Detroit gives Bill-ups and Delfino for George and Jones
Lakers trade Bill-ups and Atkins for Asston and A.Williams
and i trade Alston to Detroit for Darko.

again not that realistic but.....
About your CF, its not yet ready, as i said i already play some future games so after i post all of them that will be the time to scout again. also im busy trying to trade rush to charlotte. and also busy about patching. maybe after Suns game or Clippers i might scout you and iDiot.

Los Angeles Lakers (10-7) Will Host Struggling Phoenix Suns (9-9)

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) Dec 8--Los Angeles Lakers will face the Phoenix Suns for the second time this seaon. In their first meeting, the Suns won, 110-102. In that game 4 Suns players scored 19 points or more headed by 27 points by Nash.

Lakers won their last game against the Warriors and try to make another winning streak. Suns on the other hand, are on a 2 game losing skid and were struggling lately, losing 5 of their last 6 games.

Lakers will still rely on Bryant and Odom but will also get big help from other players especially Chris Mihm. Mihm's injury was now completely heal and will start this game.

Tonight's Key Matchup:
Steve Nash vs. Chucky Atkins

Last time this 2 teams met, Steve Nash erupted for points to win the Player of the Game honor. This things might happen again unless Chucky Atkins has something to say. He will not be ask to score that much but need to have agreat defensive game against Nash. Atkins will need to double his effort to stop Nash especially the things he like most, penetrating and then dishing to an open teammates. If he can do it Lakers will have a great chance to get this one.

Probable Starters:

Phoenix Suns (Season Stats)
C-Amare Stoudemire - (14.8 PPG, 10.5 RPG)
PF-Shawn Marion- (15.5 PPG, 9.1 RPG)
SF-Quintin Richardson- (14.7 PPG, 8.1 RPG)
SG-Joe Johnson- (16.6 PPG, 4.3 APG)
PG-Steve Nash- (20.8 PPG, 5.9 APG)

Los Angeles Lakers (Season Stats)
C-Chris Mihm - (10.7 PPG, 9.7 RPG)
PF-Lamar Odom- (21.9 PPG, 11.5 RPG)
SF- Caron Butler- (11.5 PPG, 4.7 RPG)
SG-Kobe Bryant- (24.8 PPG, 4.2APG)
PG-Chucky Atkins (7.9 PPG, 2.5 APG)

Fri Dec 10, 2004 3:38 am

I think the first one would be the most realistic one, but I don't see the Pistons trading Darko right now with him just in his 2nd year. Maybe you ought to try a trade with the Cavs by going after Diop and Wagner since the Cavs have him on the block.

Bryant scored most of his points in
the final quarter and overtime

This game was a shootout right from the very start. Both teams scored at will with little defense on both side. Bryant already scored 11 points in this quarter while Mihm added 6 points. The Suns have already 3 players that scored 6 points or more. Lakers tried to create mismatch by going for a big line-up. Most of their points came from the post while Suns used quickness and outside shooting to score. The score was 27-26 in favor of the Lakers.

The trend continued in the 2nd quarter. Mihm took advantage playing against Stoudemire and Marion the post. Bryant on the other hand, continued slashing to the basket. Both team shot pretty well in the game, Lakers shot 60% while the Suns at 47%. Nash led the Suns with 11 points but only have 1 assist. Lakers led by 2, 49-47 at halftime.

KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF
Image

In the 3rd quarter, the Lakers shot 26%, this helped the Suns to take and lead and extended it to 10 points. Nash scored 8 points, all of them by driving to the baskets. Mihm scored only 1 point in this quarter. Lakers’ bench made quite a little run to cut the deficit to 2 points heading to the last period.

Both team traded baskets and the largest Suns lead was 5 in this quarter. With Odom struggling, Bryant and Mihm led a run to tie the ballgame. Lakers also had a chance to win it but Odom shot hit the back of the rim. The game goes to overtime.

OVERTIME

In overtime, the game again became a shootout, Butler joined Lakers scoring and helped them built a 6 point lead. Mihm, coming from an injury, twisted his ankle and wasn’t able to come back in the game. Bryant then took over and score some crucial baskets including some free-throw to win this game, 113-112.

Some Screenshots from the Game
Stoudemire carried the Suns in the first half.
Lakers playing big, put Mihm at power forward position, dominates every match-up Suns gave to him.
Richardson may struggled with his shooting but still gave some highlight reel.
Nash agian led his team in scoring, win his battle against Atkins.
Mihm got injured again in overtime.
In place of Mihm, Divac made some crucial fre-throws in dying seconds in overtime

Mihm will be out for at least 2 weeks
Grant activated

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Dec. 9 -- The Los Angeles Lakers announced that they put Chris Mihm in the injury list. Mihm suffured lots of minor injury in this season but the last one was serious. In that game against Suns, Mihm went down in the overtime after a foul by Marion. Today, Lakers trainers found out that Mihm had a hyper-extended knee and will be out for at least 2 weeks.

In place of him, Lakers activated Brian Grant, the only player eligible to be activated. Grant sat down exactly 5 games while Walton only sat down 2 games. George was still nursing his injury.
