Dear Mr. Batman,

I've been a long-time fan of you and your dynasty.
I wonder if I can grow up and be like you... I liked
your new movie too, Batman. I would really want
to have your autograph, you're just so good at this.
Please send me back a letter please, my whole
family had been waiting for it. Good luck Batman.

Yea, that shot was amazing. At first I was just going to heave it up and take the loss because I didn't think it would go in, then next thing I know it rolled off the front of the rim, hit the backboard and went in. I LOVED IT!

SPURS VS. 76ERS
Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, 7:30 p.m., EST

TV, radio: Comcast SportsNet; UPN 57
Records: purs, 16-5; Sixers, 12-7

KEY MATCHUP: ANDRE IGUODALA VS. BRUCE BOWEN
Defensive specialist, Bruce Bowen will look to take heed at Sixers' foward Andre Iguodala tonight. Iguodala is an explosive young player and it will be up to Bowen to keep that explosiveness out of Iguodala's game tonight. Bowen is known as a dirty player so its up to Iguodala to stay focus throughout the game and don't let Bowen get in his head. One thing Iguodala will not have to worry about is stopping Bowen on the offensive end.

INSIDE THE 76ERS
The Sixers will have to face their toughest opponent since the season began. They have won 4 of their last 5 games. They are also 1-1 on their 4-game home stand which is an improvement to what happened earlier this season when they faced an 0-3 homestand.

INSIDE THE SPURS
The Spurs have the best record in the league and are currently on a 5-game winning streak. They are led by two-time MVP and Argentinan, Manu Ginobili who combine for 45.1ppg, 17.7rpg and 11.2apg for the Spurs. San Antonio was also able to grab Hakim Warrick at the 26th pick and he has moved to the starting PF spot averaging 8.1ppg and 6.7rpg.

Manu Ginobili shot 7-18 from the field for the Spurs who beat the Sixers

PHILADELPHIA, December 9 (Ticker) -- Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs at long last came out of the Wachovia Center with a win. Duncan scored 18 points and grabbed a season-high 21 rebounds as the Spurs beat the Philadelphia 76ers here for the 2nd straight time, 83-69. Manu Ginobili chipped in 22 points and Tony Parker 14 and 5 assists for the Spurs, who have extended their winning streak to six games. The Sixers missed the first 11 shots of the game as the Spurs opened up the early 9-0 advantage. Backup guard Percy Miller scored Philadelphia's first points on a jumper and a foul by Tony Parker which led to a 3-point play. "You could feel the crowd getting real tense, and getting a little upset," said Andre Iguodala, who scored 16 points. "We couldn't buy a basket that first quarter. We weren't taking tough shots by any means. We were missing layups and missing open shots. For some reason they didn't want to drop."

The Sixers had one of their worse quarters in Wachovia Center history making only 5-of-21 shots to fall behind by only 5 points though with the Spurs shooting bad as well. "It's a coach's worst nightmare, jumping off to an early lead in the NBA," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "You just sit there and wait for the score to get even again. It comes down to the fourth quarter, to who makes shots and who doesn't turn it over." After Philadelphia forward Chris Webber opened the fourth quarter with a jump hook, the Spurs countered with a 9-1 run, taking the lead for good and keeping the Sixers out of range of making a comeback. "We did a great job of moving the ball," Duncan said. "Our guys are able to shoot shots and understand the offense. That's when we are at our best."

The Sixers got within 52-47 on a 3-pointer by rookie Andre Iguodala with 3:37 remaining in the 3rd quarter, but Brent Barry hit back-to-back jumpers and San Antonio led by at least six points thereafter. "They are a potential world champion," Sixers coach Jim O'Brien said of the Spurs. "Against a team that has Duncan in the low post, you can't cover every event and you have to give them something." Allen Iverson scored 19 points but made only 8-of-18 shots for the Sixers, who connected on just 36 percent (29-of-80) of their attempts. "The scary thing is we didn‘t really put together a total game yet," Barry said. "We've had good individual performances. A number of people stepped up and took care of the ball."

NETS VS. 76ERS
Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, 7:30 p.m., EST

TV, radio: Comcast SportsNet; UPN 57
Records: Nets, 10-11; Sixers, 12-8

KEY MATCHUP: ALLEN IVERSON VS. JASON KIDD
Jason Kidd is probably the only player in the league that has the height advantage over Iverson, but can also match his speed and probably the only point guard that has the ability to guard him. Kidd averages 18.2ppg, 5.7rpg, 6.1apg and 1.7spg for the Nets. He can go down low in the box on most guards and is very experienced with his 11 years in the league.

INSIDE THE 76ERS
The Sixers are coming off an 83-69 loss to the Spurs on Friday night. It was the lowest scoring game for Philadelphia this season and they are looking to rebound from that performance tonight. The Sixers only shot 36% from the field in that game.

INSIDE THE NETS
It seems as though the Nets are finally getting the hang of the threesome in Carter, Jefferson and Kidd. They are now on a 3-game winning streak and all 3 of them are averaging at least 18,5 and 5 apiece. The Nets drafted Johan Petro and Kelenna Azubuike in the off-season and they have turned out to be good picks so far with Petro starting at center and Azubuike becoming a solid 6-man.

PHILADELPHIA, December 11 (Ticker) -- Vince Carter found his shooting touch in the second half. Carter scored 22 of his 30 points after the break to lead the New Jersey Nets to a 105-100 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. Carter - who also had six rebounds and nineassists - made just 2-of-3 shots in the first half and was being doubled, which ended with New Jersey only up, 51-50. But he found his stroke in the third quarter, nailing 6-of-7 shots for 14 points to help the Nets take a 81-68 edge into the final period, one they made stand. After Allen Iverson connected from the arc to get Philadelphia within 95-92 with 2:05 left, Jefferson answered with a pair of free throws with 1:49 remaining and the Sixers did not threaten thereafter.

"(In) the second half, I think you have to give our guys a tremendous amount of credit after having to fight hard in the first half trying to establish a lead," Nets coach Lawrence Frank said. "Just real good ball movement on the offensive end, the ability obviously to make shots, and Vince stepped up in a huge way. We had contributions from a lot of different people." Webber, who has been playing great since the last week of November managed to put up 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds, while dishing out 4 assists. "We were just relentless as a team," Carter said. "We were able to maintain their runs back at us. Hitting shots really helped. We tried to limit their second shots. We know that A.I. (Iverson) is going to get his shots. It was important to get him to take tough shots, make his miss, then get some rebounds and baskets in transition."

Richard Jefferson scored 23 points and Jason Kidd added 17, 12 assists and seven rebounds for the Nets, who posted their fourth straight victory and fifth in six games. "To win this game in Philadelphia, especially a team that is very good, that's big," Kidd said. "We lose and we go down. We can't worry about our record right now. We have to worry about getting wins in our division. It just brings us closer to a chance at making the playoffs." Iverson scored 27 points and dished out 10 assists for the Sixers, who have lost two straight games. Andre Iguodala recorded a double-double as well with 24 points and 11 boards. "Until our defense gets better, we're going to continue to struggle," Iverson said of the Sixers, who have fail to 12-9 of the season. "We better be able to stop people. It's as simple as that. When guys are going at you offensively, you've got to be able to stop them. We couldn't stop them."

76ERS VS. PACERS
Conseco Fieldhouse, Indiana, 7:00 p.m., EST

TV, radio: Comcast SportsNet; UPN 57
Records: 76ers, 12-9; Pacers, 14-8

KEY MATCHUP: ANDRE IGUODALA VS. RON ARTEST
Things aren't getting no easier for Iguodala. Just a few games ago, he had to matchup against defensive specialist, Bruce Bowen and the game after that it was Nets forward Richard Jefferson. Now he faces another defensive monster in Ron Artest who has become the leader of the team with the recent injury to all-star Jermaine O'neal. He is averaging a team high, 23.1ppg to go along with 9.1rpg and 4.5apg. He also averages 2.05spg for the Pacers.

INSIDE THE 76ERS
The Sixers are trying to stay out of trouble by losing their 3rd straight game and recieving their 10th loss of the season. They are 5-5 in their last 10 games. They are one of the most unselfish teams in the league averaging 25.3apg and stand at the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference tied with the Knicks.

INSIDE THE PACERS
The Pacers have been rolling as they are 11-3 in their last 14 games and marked a season-high 9-game winning streak a few games ago before losing to the Bobcats. Jermaine O'neal won't play tonight due to a broken nose that he hurt on December 9th against the Heat.

INDIANAPOLIS, December 13 (Ticker) -- Allen Iverson didn't have a 50-point game. But he did have some help. Iverson scored 31 points in his bid for history and was part of a late surge that gave the Philadelphia 76ers a 96-79 victory over the scorching Indiana Pacers. A three-time scoring champion currently leading the NBA at 26.2 points per game, Iverson scored 30+ points for the 4th time through 22 games. The superstar point guard made 13-of-23 shots and 4-of-6 from downtown. Iverson had 22 points early in the third quarter, when the Sixers were on the edge of losing their lead. They began to play better as they spread the ball around and Andre Iguodala, rookie Rashad McCants and former sixth man of the year Willie Green became involved in the offense.

"I'm glad it didn't take that (scoring 50) to win," said Iverson, whose already had one 50-point game this season. "I felt good, and I hope it would have been there if we had needed it. But a lot of guys did things to help us win, especially Willie Green. I think he won the game for us tonight." Green was perfect from the field shooting 4-4 and scoring 9 points. "Willie gave us steadiness tonight," Simien said. "He was where he was supposed to be defensively. He slowed it down when we needed to and made sure everyone was on the same page." Iguodala scored eight of his 15 points in the fourth quarter. Dalembert also pitched in with 10 boards to go along with his 7 points.

"It felt good to come in and contribute any way I can," Green said. "My job is to come in and be aggressive. When you're out there with Allen, you know the other team is going to try and load up on him. When I got it, I just tried to get in the seam and make something happen. AI held us together in the first half, and the rest of us stepped up in the second." Philadelphia was able to end their 2-game losing skid and they will head back to Philadelphia to face the Timberwolves later on this week before playing the Pacers back-to-back. Ron Artest had 28 points, 10 rebounds amd 8 assists and Fred Jones scored 17 points for Indiana, which received a rare loss. "We gave the game back to them in the fourth quarter," Foster said. "We turned the ball over and just plain lost it. I hope we can learn from this and remember that we have to play four quarters, not just three."
