good work Mr. Weaver on adding some pics for Mafia's dynasty
I'm also enjoying the fact that you are 9-6....a very realistic record given that your team is starting the year with Webber....talking about Webber, any trade rumours swirling around the league about him?!?

Chris Webber had one of his best games of the season with a triple double
PHILADELPHIA, November 29 (Ticker) -- On the last game of November, Chris Webber saved the Philadelphia 76ers from a disheartening case of déjà vu. Webber’s and 1 play off a layup with one second left prevented a familiar collapse and allowed the 76ers to escape with their second straight win, a 105-102 victory over the New York Knicks. Allen Iverson had 23 points and 6 assists for the Sixers, who appeared to be headed for a repeat of the game earlier in the month except the Sixers collapsed early in the first half of that game. "Nobody in this locker room is the type of player that is just going to quit or throw in the towel," said Malik Rose, who scored all of his six points in the fourth quarter. "We have a lot of fighters on this team. We're going to continue to fight, no matter what."
"It was like déjà vu," Iverson said. "We said coming out of the fourth quarter that those guys were going to keep playing. We just tried to do whatever in our might to keep them from making a complete comeback and picking up the win.” Having to fight back from a 4-point deficit heading into the 4th quarter, the Sixers were tied with the Knicks at 102-102 and took over with four seconds left after a missed jumper by Stephon Marbury, who had 21 points and four assists. The inbounds pass went into the right corner to Iverson, who was having a bad shooting night. He was double-teamed but found a cutting Webber, who dropped in a layup with a foul called on Rose. "I knew that they were going to double somebody, but I didn't know who it was going to be," Webber said. "I was surprised that they doubled (Iverson) off of me and I just got the open pass. It was a great play and we executed it properly."
"I had no idea that they were going to do it," Iverson said. "As soon as I got the ball, I turned around and saw two people. I saw Chris cutting to the basket and it was about making the shot at that point." Webber scored 28 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out 10 assists for the Sixers (10-6). "It means a lot because we're not giving up and that says a lot about us as a team," said Iverson. "I just like the fact that everyone on the team is supporting each other. The coaches are giving out assignments and guys are trying their hardest to execute them. The fans are coming out every night to support us and are getting into the game."

Yea Weaver helped me out alot on the pics, now the preview can have a different atmosphere sometime. As for the record, I'm happy with it too, it doesn't make me too good oppose to the way I was with Phoenix. Everybody keep asking about Webber too
After that game he just had, I'm not thinking about dealting him now. The media is always trying to start up rumors!

Thanks, too bad the Knicks suffered int his game and not me
The X wrote:wow, Webber was huge but I guess he's still got a few of those games left in him
Yep, I knew Webber could do it. Of course he's not going to put up 25ppg with AI on his team, but he can have some of those real big games. It's not the only time where he has either came close or gotten a triple double this season too.CC-2K5 wrote:its been a roller coaster ride for webber...i heard that you were gonna trade him, but after the performance against the knicks, will you continue on with the thought?

Yea, but he has stepped his game up near the end of the month. As I had said earlier, I don't plan on trading him unless the team is just doing real bad andhe hasn't produced decent numbers.

Nice game by Webber's single serviceable leg left... now pray he doesn't come down with any type of injury or you won't be able to trade him and his huge payroll for anything... Heck, go past this season and you'll never be able to ship him off...

So much for trading Webber. He must have heard.

76ERS VS. WARRIORS
Arena in Oakland, Oakland, 10:00 a.m., EST
TV, radio: Comcast SportsNet; UPN 57
Records: Sixers, 10-6; Warriors, 6-9
KEY MATCHUP: CHRIS WEBBER VS. MALIK ALLEN
This could be a cake walk for Chris Webber who has been playing some of his best basketball in the last few games. Allen stepped into hte starting PF spot as the Warriors placed Foyle on the bench to start no.1 pick Andrew Bogut. Webber has the advantage over Allen in many categories, but that doesn't excuse Allen from hustling which is what Webber lacks. Despite Allen not getting much respect, he is pulling down 7.1rpg in 34.6mpg.
INSIDE THE 76ERS
The Sixers have hit their first winning streak since their 6-game win streak at the beginning of the season. They are finally connecting from a team standpoint. The bench has been producing along wiht the starters doing great in their own roles. Most importantly, Iverson is playing under control.
INSIDE THE WARRIORS
The Warriors were the lucky team by drafting Aussie, Andrew Bogut with the 1st pick in the draft. He was named Rookie of the Month averaging 14.6ppg and 9.3rpg. Yet, the Warriors still struggle at the start of the season with a 6-9 record.

Rookie Andrew Bogut and the Warriors losing woes continued
OAKLAND, December 3 (Ticker) -- Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers wore down the Golden State Warriors, who went cold in the 2nd half. Iverson scored 27 points, while dishing out a season-high 14 assists and rookie Wayne Simien added 15 and a career-high 14 rebounds off the bench as the 76ers used an efficient offensive approach to post a 96-81 triumph over the Golden State Warriors. Iverson carried the team early, scoring 17 of his points in the opening half and Webber and Iguodala help take over late in the game. "I really expect people to think the ball is going to be in my hands at the end of the game and it is, but if they do anything to get it out of my hands, guys have got to step up and make plays and I've got all the confidence in the world that guys can do that," Iverson said.
Philadelphia shot 52 percent (40-of-77) from the field, but just 1-8 from 3-point range which really didn‘t matter tonight. The 76ers sealed the win from the line as well as they shot 15-21 from the line for the game and 6-6 in the final minutes of the game. "We had a sense of urgency from the beginning of the game," Iverson said. "We got down then we got back into it. We led for most of the time. The second half we pretty much played steady throughout the half and then when it was time to make plays on both ends of the court, we did." Philadelphia are now five games over the .500 mark with the win tonday. The 76ers have now won 3 straight games after struggling the previous games.
"I think we played a solid game of basketball," Philadelphia coach Jim O'Brien said. "We did not keep the ball in front of us well. Other than that, it's good to get our third straight win after what we experienced early on." Jason Richardson led Golden State (6-10) with 19 points and 7 assists. Baron Davis added 15 for the Warriors who have been struggling since the start of the season. "We're taking it upon ourselves to let people know we can beat teams in the Western conference," Iguodala said. The Warriors shot poorly from the field, shooting 36% (28-77) and 9-27 from downtown. Western Conference Rookie of the Month, Andrew Bogut, didn’t play very well, only scoring 9 points on 3-11 shooting, but he did grab 12 rebounds with 5 of them being offensive.

At least we got a decent Center in Bogut... but as long as that embedded code stil exists, we'll never make tha playoffs in any dynasty...

ROCKETS VS. 76ERS
Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, 7:00 p.m., EST
TV, radio: Comcast SportsNet; UPN 57
Records: Rockets, 8-10; Sixers, 11-6
INJURY REPORT: HOU - T. McGrady (neck spasm) out; J. Williams - (sore elbow) doubtful
KEY MATCHUP: RASHAD MCCANTS VS. DAVID WESLEY
Wesley made his first start of the season last game due to the injury of Tracy McGrady. He was averaging 10.1ppg off the bench and he will definitely be a better matchup for rookie Rashad McCants. McCants will have the height advantage over Wesley which may allow him to shoot better from the field. Through the season, McCants has the best shooting percentage on the team at 52%.
INSIDE THE 76ERS
Philly started the month of December off with a big win over the Warriors. They are now ready to start a 4-game homestand. The last time they were on a 3-game homestand, they ended up going 0-3. With the team starting to mature, things could be a little different this time.
INSIDE THE ROCKETS
The Rockets lost their superstar, Tracy McGrady on the 1st of December against the Sacramento Kings. He is expected to be out another week and so far, they are 1-0 without him. Yao Ming has shown signs of becoming a great player, averaging 22.1ppg and 11.6rpg for the Rockets.
PROBABLE STARTERS

PF-Chris Webber
SF-Andre Iguodala
SG-Rashad McCants
PG-Allen Iverson

C-Yao Ming
PF-Juwan Howard

Iverson going up against "The Giant" Yao Ming
Houston, December 5 (Ticker) -- Yao Ming got hot early and the rest of his teammates joined him. Yao scored 21 of his 38 points in the best first half of the season for the Houston Rockets, who rolled to a 106-90 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. The Rockets had four players in double figures and won without their main man Tracy McGrady who was out due to neck spasms. The two-time defending NBA scoring champion, McGrady ended up getting injured against the Sacramento Kings on December 1st and probably won‘t be back til‘ the end of the next week. In the first quarter, Yao scored 13 points and Iverson 9, with the extra bucket providing the 76ers with a 21-19 lead. Early in the second period, Yao made consecutive hook shots and a jumper before a hoop by Juwan Howard that ended up keeping the game close before halftime A three-point play and layup by Bob Sura tied the game up at halftime.
"I just got off to a great start offensively. I got rolling and my hookshot looked good," Yao said. "Once I saw Iverson get hot, I knew that I was going to have to step up my game with T-Mac not here. It was a good first half. My team found me and I came through." Yao made 18-of-30 shots, including attempting two missed 3-point attempts, which showed how much the 7‘6“ center was feeling it. He also grabbed 10 boards for the Rockets. "This was a pivotal game for us," Wesley said who scored 21 points. "With Tracy out, we can’t afford to fall behind that much and we need to win these games while he is out so we will be in good shape. You just can’t give up when your best player gets hurt, you have to keep fighting.”
"When we get on an offensive roll, we're pretty good," said Rockets forward Juwan Hoawrd, who finished with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. "Any time one of our stars gets it going, the other team is going to pay more attention to them and it opens the floor for everybody else. It's a lot easier once they get going and Yao did a great job of playing that role tonight." Iverson had 22 points and 9 assists for the Sixers (11-7), who had their 3-game winning streak snapped. "We wanted to try and create some space between us and the rest of the people in our division, and we weren't able to do it. It’s very upsetting for us to lose a game that we should’ve won this badly. We tried, we just couldn't get it done," Iverson said.
