The Double FeatureHere it is; let's see who got it right:
Game 1: Denver break NBA record
The Denver Nuggets have broken Chicago's 72 win record by beating the New Orleans Hornets 94-79. It was a complete team performance by Denver as 5 players reached double figures, with George Power leading the way with 22. Chauncey Billups also continued his late career form with 18 points. J.R. Smith had 16, while Durant recorded 14. Brandon Jennings was the last of the double-digit scorers with 11 points off the bench.
For the New Orleans Hornets, Chris Paul won the Sprite Performer of the Game with 23 points and 9 assists. Hobbes MacDonald scored 16, while pint-sized guard Dave Russell chipped in with 15. Roy Hibbert dominated off the boards, picking up 17 rebounds as he narrowly missed out on a double-double (9 points).
Now eclipsing the Bulls record, the focus will be on defending their title. In the next game, don't be surprised to see a bunch of Denver's stars sitting out.

Game 2: Denver lose in dying moments
It was a mid-range shot by Rudy Gay that saw the San Antonio Spurs win a close encounter against Denver 75-73. Gay ended up with 21, while backed up by Johnny Gibson (20) and Alejandro Carlos (18), who both had great games as well.
Despite the loss, the story of the game was Taylor MacKenzie. T-Mac 2.0 showed flashes of his devastating best in this game, scoring 29 to lead all scorers. George Power came close to another double-double with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Garth Vine continued a nice late season run with 11 points, while Basil Richter surprised a lot of people scoring 11 in his first game of the year. The sophomore prospect showed off his potential by hitting some impressive mid-range jumpers and along with T-Mac 2.0, will give Denver's front office something to think about this off-season.

Well there you have it... Andrew was completely right as far as how the last two games ended up. Also, I managed to beat the 2k11 countdown, which is something I was aiming to do as well as getting over 72. It's been a great season and a full review of it will be up next.
