Francis triple-doubles in Knicks´ 96-104 home win

The Knicks won their 4th game this season, the 3rd at home.
It was the first time, that the Knicks played a strong first quarter.
Steve Francis had incredible 6 assists in the 1st, most of them went to Quentin Richardson, he had 8 points.
Utah couldn´t connect from the field, Deron Williams missd 4 consecutive points and than was replaced by Keith McLeod.
Knicks led by 6, 22-28.

"Definetely our best 1st quarter this season, but we started to take it too easy .... Steve kept us out of this, props to
him
", Quentin Richardson said.

Utah really got game in the 2nd. Andrei Kirilenko, who wasn´t able to connect to his strong defensive performances of this season, at least did well at the offensive end.
10 points for him as well 8 points for Carlos Boozer, two crushing dunks for the comebacker.
David Lee had 3 really good buckets, he showed his strenght and his post game.
But the Knicks were fallen behind, 53-47.

Luckily for them they were able to find back to their game, mainly because of Steve Francis. he scored 8 of his 19 points, had 5 more assists and 6 rebounds. An really outstanding performance by "Steve Wonder".

"Well, I´m doin´ my job, you know, it´s not like 5 years ago, where I just wanted the glory and the hype. I really matured, I´m one of the older players on the court, and I´m glad I was able to lead the team", his crushing dunk of the night really got the crowd up.

The Jazz weren´t able to make their shots, Devin Brown had two three pointer, but they only shot .250 in th 3rd to end up 69-74.

It seemed like it was a close game in the last, because of a 29-27 for the Knicks, but it wasn´t. The Knicks took over the game, Quentin Richardson hit two threes in a row, and New York was able to make the freethrows, winning the game 104-96.

Steve Francis posted the Dunk Of The Night, and the Play Of The Game (above) .
Utah´s best scorer was "AK-47" with 24. Deron Williams added 10 and 6 assists, Carlos Boozer scored a season high 16 and had 8 boards.
"Memo" Okur had 13 points and 13 rebounds, Devin Brown also added 13.

For New York Steve Francis had his 8th career triple double scoring 19, dishing out 13 and grabbing 10 boards,
Quentin Richardson added 18 poins, Frye 16, but he was forced to go out with a broken finger in the 4th, he won´t miss any game.
Eddy Curry again had a great rebound game, 13 for him.
David Lee scored 14 off the bench.

Play Of The Game - Steve Francis runs past D. Williams and hammers it over Andrei Kirilenko !

Im really satisifed with this win, Steve Francis showed how good he can be, Stephon Marbury will be able to play in the next game, I plan to play him as a FFS playmaker and let Steve take over the scoring leader part.
Im also looking for some trades to reduce the cap, but I will definetely keep Steve and Stephon for this season.

wow what a game by Francis! And nice dunk over AK-47

Glad that you are not doing a lot of trades, reducing salary cap. Let players to prove they are doing good and trade some players before the trade deadline (Y)

Nice recap and a very impressive game for Francis. I'll have to get back to you on potential trade options to reduce your cap. :)

January, 21th, New York

Today a press conference was held with and anout Stephon Marbury.
Marbury, who had broken a bone in his wrist, had an accident in the practice session on January the 7th. After a collision he fell on his taped wrist and his injury even became worse. A quick surgery was necessary.
"We kept this as a secret till now, because we didn´t want the fans to worry and the media to go crazy about this"
GM C. Hova said.

It seems like he will be playable in the next time, but he totally lost control of his hand for a short time. It´s really a bad injury he had, and experts don´t think we will see the Marbury we saw in this season till now.

I´m really willed to play and to give my best, but this complex fracture is usually a reason to end someones career. My playing time will definetely be reduced, I was talking with Larry about that .."

Marbury is expected to start next game, and everybody is really excited how he can handle his injury and his futuristic sleeve, he has to wear.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok in normal words, Marbury´s injury caused him to loose 10 overall rating points. He isn´t a FFS anymore, not a playmaker, not a scorer.
But it seems like he didn´t loose any special ratings, maybe he gets a FFS after this season again.

January, 26th, New York

One hour before the flight to Indianapolis, Stephon Marbury gave a press conference, in which he announced his total recovery from a complex fracture of his wrist bone.
"I´m glad to say, that I´m back from an injury, which could have ended my career way too early. My props go to the medical stuff"
One day after his surgery Marbury wasn´t able to move his left arm, but the next 3 weeks he fully got back his feeling and is hot to play basketball.
With a new haircut and highly motivated, Stephon Marbury wants to get the Knicks back were they belong to, the top.
"This was my first really bad injury, and I finally started to realize that I´m getting older, and I want a chamionship, man. You will see the old Marbury now, the one I was before I came here, showtime, man !", Marbury grinned.
He should be back to business now.

//well I wanted to play the game vs Indiana, wasn´t prepared to see anything pushed the superstar trigger and boom a no look by Marbury.
I am lucky, the last times I simulated to see if he gets his FFS back, it didn´t work, this time, when I simulated to play the game, he was at his old rating. Lucky for me, and I´m pleased with that.
He will be a playmaker now, cuz Francis is able to score anyway.
