EA Sports releases updated NBA Live 06 cover for France

With the recent change in name and look of San Antonio from the Spurs to the Stallions, EA Sports was made to re-release the cover for the French version of NBA Live 06.

The original cover was released a few months back sporting Tony Parker wearing the old Spurs uniform sitting down and staring at the camera.

The new version of the cover that was released this afternoon had virtually the same cover minus the uniform as Tony Parker, this time, wore the new red San Antonio Stallions away uniforms. Images of the new jerseys were released several months ago.

The US version of NBA Live will have Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade while the Spanish version will the Memphis Grizzlies' Pau Gasol.

there you go. the jersey switch wasn't nicely done. it was hard to change the jersey since it was originally black. the folds couldn't be seen hence it kinda looks flat right now. it was also hard making it realistic since it was a made up jersey to begin with. anyway I gave it a shot. was just bored.

and btw, still need people for the michael finley challenge. all I need are the following
Fullname:
Height: be realistic

Nice jersey switch Null, this dynasty is gonna be so great

Thanks everyone. Appreciate all the comments. It gives any "dynaster" some more motivation. Might play that game at University of Wisconsin soon. Still need one more player for the tournament as well as Initial D's ratings and stuff to get the Michael Finley 1on1 Challenge going.

any takers?

I'll enter in the ttournament, i'll pm ya in a sec

Mon Sep 19, 2005 11:44 pm

I'll give you ratings after I come back from school ok

Mon Sep 19, 2005 11:52 pm

ok. thanks. don't worry though. not that big of a hurry. just give me all the stuff I asked for in pm.

I'm still ok with more people who want to join. I have 8 so far and I'm fine with it. but more wouldn't be that big of a problem

one last thing, to those who want to join, please be realistic about the height and the dunk rating. most of the people who joined are around 5'10' so don't worry about it too much.

I've made some modifications to some of the ratings you guys have given particularly the dunks since some of you are dunking too much even with below 6'0 height  . I've raised the shooting to compensate. don't worry about it. just to even the level of competition.

Great cover man and it's so cool you incorporating others into your dynasty. Null that stallion desgin, is that an orginal? looks great! (Y)

All my jerseys are based on other jerseys, it's hard to come up with something original.

Wed Sep 21, 2005 6:17 pm

yeah the jerseys are original. I guessed it's a combination of all the stuff that I liked. Like bits and pieces from different jerseys

Stallions' strong defense tramples Mavs

Madison, WI - The Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki was unstoppable on the offensive end during the closing game of the NBA Summer College Tour at the Kohl Center in the University of Wisconsin. Nowitzki scored 35 points on the San Antonio Stallions coupled with 9 rebounds.

"He was scoring everywhere. Inside. Outside. Midrange. I tried everything on him but he was unstoppable. When you're hot, you're hot" said Tim Duncan of the Stallions who was guarding Nowitzki for majority of the game.

The Mavericks were dominated the early part of the game ending the first half by 15 points. Former University of Wisconsin Badger Devin Harris, who ended the game with 8 points, 2 assists and a steal, came off the bench for Jason Terry late in the first quarter and made the already excited crowd go wild.

During the start of the second half, the Mavericks lead slowly dwindled away as head coach Greg Popovich told his Stallions to execute a full court press on the opposing Mavericks. The decision was so effective and well executed that the Stallions ended the 3rd quarter with a score of 76-67 in their favor.

The effective defense coupled with an offensive barrage from player of the game Tony Parker together with Manu Ginobili, Tim Duncan and Michael Finley sealed the game for the Stallions ending it with a final score of 111-90. Tony Parker showed spectacular 3 point shooting getting 21 of his 24 points from behind the arc. Parker was 7 out of 10 from behind the arc and he showed exceptional passing as well dishing 7 assists. He also notched 4 steals. Tim Duncan got 24 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks while Manu Ginobili got 19 points 3 assists and 5 steals. Wisconsin alumni Michael Finley didn't disappoint his alma mater as he got 20 points, 4 assists and 4 steals.

Doug Christie continued his solid performance on the tour with 20 points while Jason Terry scored 17. Erick Dampier though lacking on the offensive end with only 4 points showed great rebounding while grabbing 12 boards.

Michael Finley and Devin Harris were given a chance to make a speech to the crowd after the game.

Nice recap yet again......
Are you moving this to the Live 06 section?

Thu Sep 22, 2005 1:31 am

I dunno. The mods didn't move it yet so I'll just let it stay here until I actually get Live 06 since it's still more or less a hybrid 2005 dynasty
