Thread Milestone

Fellas, this is my 1000th Post in this thread, signalling 20 pages of Dynastyness from me. For me, it's a pleasant surprise this has lasted so long seeing that my last dynasty went over 7 pages I believe for Live 2005. And especially how this dynasty is done; seeing it is essentially a huge big and whole lotta writing... its a damn lot. I know people, a lot of people actually, think I'm cocky but I gotta say to myself in my mind that credit is where it is due and I think that I've honestly done an alirhgt job.

So thank you to those who have supported this dynasty and read my stories or at least part of it! It's been a lot of fun and this ain't over. Originally, this was gonna last 16 chapters... looks like it's gonna keep going and I estimate it will go up to Chapter 25.

Please don't stop reading and I hope my following pieces of work may captivate you all further! :D

I'm not sure if I will do this kind of dynasty for 07 but if you think I should, I would appreciate you informing me on your opinion...

Thank you again boys! It's all very much appreciated!!!

Lova Y'all! Sit.

Note: I guess this ain't the longest or the best dynasty out there... The X had a champion one this year and others have had great dynasties before. I can only say thank you to those who have been here, done it all before me... without you guys, I wouldn't have gotten into any of this crazy stuff! Cheers (B) Sit!

20 pages.... Damn, I only wish I had the longevity and patience to drag something out for that long. It is pretty awesome that you've managed to reach 20 pages simply by making your dynasty very text-based, unlike some people who simply plop a bunch of pictures together and call it a recap (no offence to those guys, by the way).

Thanks for the shoutout. (y) You disappeared for a while man, havent seen you posting as much as before.

Sometimes I forget how huge this dynasty is. I'm not sure if you should go in the same direction for 07 since it would be rather hard to duplicate the success this has had. rEALLY GREAT JOB IN HERE. (Y)

Thanks for the shoutout Sit. Where am I these days? Well, I was too busy studying my IT degree, even during the holidays. I did read the NLSC threads but did not post any since it will affect my study pattern. By the way, thanks for adding me to your chapter 19. (Y) Marcus Kemp, is that me? If so, I am very proud of myself. If I have time, I will try to post more here often. Until then, keep up your stories.

Just a question to all, i was thinking in 07... the dynasty mode is supposedly huge right... i wonder how we can cover everything in our dynasties. Do you guys think it will be a tough job? Or just really long job...

We Inturrupt You With This Special Post...

Aight fellas, since I am updating this soon, I thought you all might have the time to watch a few clips that I may suggest... I for one havent seen this ep of Fresh Prince and seeing it's on YouTube, I think you should watch it too! :) Flo, you have to watch this! Its not in German!!!

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

^^ Just watching that, a few reflections... i think the actor intro thing was pretty sweet.. i never knew they did that for sitcoms.. like, i knew they had Live audiences but didnt know they did the intros and yeh, Will going up and getting do say his thing before the show was cool. I read that he and Alfonso danced for the crowd to get them into it. Would be cool to work with Will haha... And the dacne before the show was awesome!!!

Anyways, another video... special video of Kobe Bryant on NBATV... its special man! You can see why! Can someone tell me this was made?

And for the last vid... only thing good i can say is 'he's bi-lingual' lol

Kanye Getting Punk'd - Kinda Cool... I think Punkd was a good idea and him punking Kanye was awesome.. love how he steals his MTV back lol And although lots of people think he's a dickhead.. this was the reason why I followed him more. This speech made me a fan...

Sport Bloopers...... Some painful moments there... cept the last part with Avery Johnson isnt really a blooper...

NBA Bloopers. <-- Did I see Charles Barkley hit the mascot???

Jam Session Bloopers <-- pretty cool. 90s ball, see a lot of old faces.. and MJ screws up twice :)

For the sake of it, i will put this dude's mix here too...

Cant leave Chris Andersen off a Blooper list!!!

March Top 5 Games

5. Mar 2, Phoenix at Cleveland

Image

The Phoenix Suns' losing month began in Cleveland Ohio. LeBron James led his Cavs team to a double digit win over the visiting team from Airizona. Steve Nash led his team with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Amare Stoudamire had a game to forget with 6 points on 2 for 17 shooting.

This loss meant another set back for the Suns as they dropped behind in the Pacific Division. For the Cavs, it meant that they edged in front of the Detroit Pistons and that's where they still are today. LeBron James' 33 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists along with double digit scoring from Larry Hughes and Zydranus Ilgauskus helped the home team get past their Western visitors.

A big third quarter push, led by Hughes' individual 8 point run, helped win the game. A Suns comeback was hammered by LeBron James' clutch scoring late in the game. James's exciting three point play capped off a Cavs' 9-0 run with 1:21 remaining and kept the Cavs ahead 89-79.

4. Mar 14, Miami at Detroit

Image

Miami's loss meant that they allowed Atlanta to slip in front of them in the playoff race. With the Heat's iffy record, it still isn't too certain whether they can make the playoffs without wining their Division. Detroit stayed in the hunt for the Division lead.

Detroit came out hitting hard at the Heat with Billups hitting early back to back treys. The Pistons took advantage of their early momentum to take a 24-15 lead into the first quarter break. Miami kept close with their opposition for the rest of the half before coming back out of the halftime break cold. Miami's Jason Williams missed five straight shots as Miami fell behind by double digits once again.

Miami tried to get back into the game with Dywane Wade leading the charge. His 14 fourth quarter points weren't enough to counter Billups' scoring as the Pistons stayed ahead in the end to win the match. Billups finished with 28 points and 8 assists. He scored 15 of his team's points in the last quarter. Tayshaun Prince scored 21 points and 13 rebounds. Miami was led by Wade's 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Antoine Walker's 22 points on 10 for 14 shooting.

3. Mar 1, Chicago at Utah

Image

Cellar-dweller Utah gave the Bulls a run for their money although the Bulls did prevail. What was also weird was the fact that Kirk Hinrich, recovering from injury, didn't attempt a shot all game. The Bulls' PG didn't answer to media after the game about his 'shooting no-show.'

Derron Williams had a career night with a near triple double of 40 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. His pin-point accuracy passes helped all of his starting lineup to score in double digits as the Jazz kept running their offence to crisp perfection. "We're showing plenty of promise for the next season," Coach Sloan was happy to say.

Tyson Chandler had a huge night with 35 and 14 with Tim Thomas having 22 and 8. However, the out-of-sorts Duhon was subbed off for Luol Deng who chipped in 13 points in the second half of the game. With the Bulls trailing thanks to a Gordon Giricek three, Duhon was summoned on for Hinrich. Duhon proceeded to launch the game winning three point shot and sent the Delta Centre crowd into a riot outside.

2. Mar 28, Houston at LA Lakers

Image

Southwest Division leaders are the top team in the NBA. When they faced the LA Lakers, they thought it would be an easy game. They were wrong as Kobe Bryant helped his team surprise the visitors in the third quarter before the Rockets lost out in a late game rally.

In a matchup that is looking possible to occur this playoffs, the ever-surprising and surging Lakers matched Houston's intensity in the first half. Before long, Tracy McGrady had already scored 15 of his 16 points by halftime. That was when Kobe decided to play as he helped the Lakers start the second half with a 11-0 run. He closed out the third period with a big trey over McGrady. Byrant led the Lakers with 18 of his team's 30 third quarter points.

The fourth quarter was when Houston decided to turn it up with Yao Ming deciding to break Chris Mihm and Kwame Brown double teams by passing out of them. David Anderson benefited from this most as he scored 13 points in the final quarter. This included three three point shots early in the quarter. With LA trailing by 7 late in the quarter, Kobe Byrant scored three straight shots to be behind by 1. Yao Ming missed a shot before the refs controversially called a foul and sent Ming to the free throw line with 38.1 seconds left. The big man from China missed both shots and the Lakers slowed play down to run the clock out.

Smush Parker then scored a shot from down near the baseline to put LA ahead by 1 with 16.9 seconds left. With the last possession of the game, McGrady missed a shot at the top of the key with 3.2 seconds and Kwame Brown grabbed the rebound and threw the ball in the air as the buzzer sounded. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers in another big night with 42 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

1. Mar 6, Milwaukee at Boston

Image

Last placed Milwaukee had a great win. Boston was certainly surprised.

Dan Dickau and Paul Pierce played terrifically for the Celtics. Dickau's 16 first half points as well as his 7 assists was what kept the Celtics in the game with star Pierce being a non-factor. He erupted after the half though as he had a shooting contest against Milwaukee's Michael Redd. Pierce finished with 29, 10 and 7 but Redd scored 36 points. Dickau had 20 points and 10 assists as his opposing PG Mo Williams had 23, 5 and 10.

Boston pushed ahead of the Bucks with a 14-0 run and looked like they had the game in the bag. However, the Bucks played with a ferocity that it has lacked all season and used their fighting spirit to mount a big comeback. Led by Andrew Bogut and Jamaal Magloire, the Bucks clawed their way back into the game with a socring run of their own.

With 2:34 left, the teams were tied after a Bogut dunk. On the next play, Boston pushed ahead by 3 thanks to Pierce's three. Michael Redd must have got lucky as he was hit on his three point attempt that went in off the glass. He converted the four point play to put his team ahead 105-104 with 1:11 left. Paul Pierce who had been hot for most of the second half missed an open jumper before the Bucks scored on the fast break. Another miss, this time from three point land, meant that the Celtics had to stop the Bucks on the next trip down the floor. Bogut converted a stunning finger-roll and was fouled at the same time. His free throw put the Bucks ahead by 6 with 12.3 seconds left. Al Jefferson missed a deperate attempt from three point territory as time ran out.

Milwaukee, one of the last placed teams in the NBA this season, somehow grinded out a victory. If only they had played with this type of heart all year; they could be headed to the playoffs.

I doubt many people will go too indepth with chemistry....and I can't say people mentioning MLE much in their dynasties, maybe once an off-season at most....as Mark said, it seems like a lot more of the aspects that won't be mentioned that will improve....which is probably a good thing for dynasty threads....if dynasties are more fun & interesting to play, then it's more likely quality threads will pop up & stay around for a while :P

Congrats on a lengthy dynastyand thanks for the shoutout! I can't wait for my appearance. Those are some great recaps, and good job by Milwaukee for getting a win with such a bad record. I have yet to read Chapter 19 but i'll get back to you with a comment when I do.
