Nice dynasty man, sorry I haven't posted any comments recently. Been a bit busy with Uni and work. I like the magazines man, how do you make them? I recently started my dynasty and just finished the pre-season and it was an enlightening experience for me. If you're looking to reduce your cap and keep Nate, try trading your way over paid players like Marbury, Francis & Rose but to mention a few. Replace them with younger less expensive talent that will grow with the dyansty and at this rate Nate may even end up starting and his potential will without a doubt be fully realised. I'm looking to do thesame with my dynasty which I'll attempt at updating this afternoon and if I don't get it done by then I finish it when I get back from work. All in all I like what I'm seeing here. (Y) (Y) (Y)

From MCI Center, Washington

Young Knicks defeat Wizards !

Robinson, Lee and Frye able to overcome Arenas´ 30, Marbury out

ImageImageImage

It was a tough game, and the Knicks paid their price.
Stephon Marbury had to leave in the 2nd after he drove to the basket and collided with Antonio Daniels.
"It seems like he will be out for at least 5 weeks, it´s a broken bone in his wrist, we really feel with him, hopefully he can comeback as fast as possible", Larry Brown said after the medical check.

But the game had to move on.

The Knicks started slowly, Washington led 10-2 with 6 points by Gilbert Arenas. Then New York began to play good basketball, especially David Lee, who had an career high 14 points in this game.
After this not really special quarter Washington led by 1, 24-25.

In the 2nd Stephon Marbury showed his scoring ability with some awesome shots, 8 points for him.
"He played great, bad it had to end like that", even Antawn Jamison had to confess.

Steve Francis, who got a lot of minutes, because of Jamaal Crawford´s awful performance, had 6 points and 2 assists.

On the Wizards side Caron Butler and Arenas played well combining for 16 of the 25 the Wizs had. But Knicks led by 2 52-50.

In the 3rd Nate Robinson got some playing time, had 3 assists and played up big. But Arenas, Butler and Jamison did their job very well, and kept the Wizards into the game. The Bench didn´t get it done again for Washington.
Only Rookie Andre Blatche suprised with strong 8 points.

When the clock was down to 4 secs in the 3rd, Marbury tried to make it happen, announced an isolation play and drove to the basket.
There he collided mid-air and went down, falling on his wrist.
Nate Robinson came into the game, made both freethrows, but Washington led by 3, 73-76.

And the 4th was the one of Nate Robinson. He controlled the Knicks´ Offense, had 5 assists and 10 points.
Supported by Jalen Rose, who hit a clutch threepointer with 2 minutes left to tie the game, and by Channing Frye who had 6 points, he made it for the Knicks.

The Wizards weren´t able to pull it off, especially because their bench couldn´t make something happen.
"Well, I was really down in the 4th, played lots of minutes.", Arenas claimed later.

The Wizards weren´t able to tie the game with 30 seconds left and fouled Nate Robinson, who made both freethrows and sealed it for the Knicks, 106-102.

Player Of The Game was Nate Robinson, he also posted the Play Of The Game.
The Dunk Of The Night was a emphatic one by Brendan Haywood.

He had 10 points, Caron Butler 19 and Jamison 14.
The bench again played weak, even though 25 points are quite good for Washington at the moment.

For New York, Marbury had 14 points, Richardson, Steve Francis and Channing Frye 12 each and Eddy Curry 10.

Both teams shot over .500 from the field and under .300 from down town.
New York outrebounded the Wizs.

Nice recaps man, good game by the Knicks. Try starting Robinson and see how he fairs seeing that Marbury is injured. Good game although. (Y)

thx, I´m not sure with Nate, he did really good, but Francis deserved the chance to start, he always played well in short time.

December, 31th

Today New York announced a new special for all the fans and the players of the New York Knickerbockers. A new double-colored rubberband is out now, available to buy after New Year´s Eve.
In order to remind of the good old times of the franchise and to keep in mind that it´s possible to manage it this season, the rubberband is called "Knicks - Playoff-run".
"Well, we all gonna wear this piece, maybe it gives us the luck we need, but it´s more a marketing thing, I guess", was the statement by Jalen Rose, who will be the captain in the next game due Marbury´s injury.

Nice recap, one question though: How do you intend to reduce the salary cap of the Knicks?

Well, at the moment I don´t plan any trades, but in order to reduce the salary I will have to, there will be some trades definetely, but close to the deadline.
The plan is to trade players with long, big contracts for some players, whose contracts run out.
Players like Mo Taylor and Malik Rose are the only ones, who seem to be untradable, it will be hard to clear cap space, but at the moment I hope I can make the playoffs and dont care about this salary stuff.

January, 1st 2006

Channing Frye
Improved his ballhandling, stealing, strength, quickness by 1.

Quentin Richardson
Improved his blocking and his passing by 1.

Steve Francis
Improved his dunking by 1, he is definetely a highflyer now.

Image

Well, Steve wasn´t a highflyer before, I thought he was too weak at NY at the moment. Now he is, and that gives me a huge boost.
Now I have a 2nd scorer, and maybe Marbury might move to Playmaker.
This development might be important, when Marbury returns, my backcourt seems to be really deluxe.
Im also very pleased with the progress of Channing Frye. I really notice it while playing.
:D

Knicks suffer tough loss

New York gets blown out on the road, Grizzlies win 90-105

ImageImage

It was the first game without Stephon Marbury, and the New York Knicks had to accept, that it is much more difficult without their leader."We all knew it will be hard, but we simply couldn´t find our game without him", Quentin Richardson said.

The Grizzlies dominated from the very first moment of the game.
Damon Stoudamire and Mike Miller had a great game in the backcourt in the first quartet. Both scored 6. Pau Gasol added 4 rebounds.
New York wasn´t able to answer and it even got worse when Steve Francis had to leave the court with an injury at his hand.

It later turned out to be a sprained thumb, he will be out for 10 days, but won´t miss any game in that time.

Without Steve Francis and Stephon Marbury, Nate Robinson stepped up,
scoring 4 points and dishing out 2 assists.
But the others didn´t respond, shot only .30 from the field and the Grizzlies led by 9, 18-27.

No change in the 2nd, were Pau Gasol began to show, why he is the Player Of The Month December.
He had 10 points and 8 rebounds and one strong block on Nate Robinson.
Shane Battier added 6, Hakim Warrick had a strong dunk.

For New York, Quentin Richardson showed his good shooting touch, scored 3 in a row.
But it was always like one person scores, the others make nothing.
New York fell behind, 39-59.

"At least, we didn´t give up, but im really not pleased with our game today", Larry Brown meant.

The Knickerbockers played better in the 3rd.
Jalen Rose, who hadn´t scored till that quarter, although he started, heated up.
He hit 2 threes, scored 10 points in this quarter.
But all in all, the Grizzlies didn´t really break down.
They were outscored by 7, but had a comfortable lead, 67-80.

Both teams didn´t play hard in the last one.
We saw some nice moves, Lorenzen Wright and Channing Frye showed two big highlights. The Grizzlies took it, Brian Cardinal scored the last 6 points of the game, Steve Fancis, who returned in the last, scored 8 points.

The Player OF The Game was Pau Gasol. He scored 20, had 13 rebounds, 9 of them offensive(!) and 3 blocks.
Damon Stoudamir and Shane Battier added 14 apiece, Mike Miller and Dahntay Jones 12 each.

The Knicks highpoint man was Steve Francis with 18, he also added 6 assists.
Jalen Rose scored 13 points, 2-2 from down town.
Nate Robinson and Channing Frye had 10 each.
Eddy Curry had strong 15 rebounds, "Q-Rich" had 14 points, but 0-5 from beyond the arc.

Knicks were outrebounded by 10, both teams shot weak from 3-point range. New York only shot .44 fron the charity stripe.
All in all Memphis deserved this win.

The Play Of The Game was posted by Lorenzen Wright with a freaky putback after his own missshot.
The Dunk Of The Night had Channing Frye with a putback after a strong rebound.

Well I´m not happy with that, it´s hard without Marbury, and he will miss the next game, too.
Jerome James gets more minutes now, he has improved more than Jackie Butler.
