Butler have his most productive game,
scoring 22 points, including 10 of 10
on the line

Everyone thought this will be a close ballgame. But Hornets fans were surprised to see their team struggle. And to make it worse, both Wesley and Davis was called for their 2nd foul and need to sit most of the 1st quarter. Rookie J.R Smith step-up big time as he scored 10 points of Hornets 14 points in this quarter. Lakers making 2/3 of their shots, lead after 1 quarter 28-14.

Things became even worse for the Hornets as Bryant caught fire in this quarter. Davis can’t get his game going as he picked another foul. Coach Scott had no choice but put Alex Garcia on the game, Garcia, playing his 1st game of the season, seem lost in offense. Lakers also put lot of pressure to this player which caused lots of turnover for the Hornets. Lakers extend their lead to 23 points, 53-30.

KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF
Image

Nothing really big happen in the 3rd period as Hornets weren’t able to outscore the Lakers. In fact, Lakers was able to up their lead to 30, 71-41. J.R Smith , who lead the team in the 1st half, didn’t play in this quarter. Lakers led by 21 at the end of this quarter. Hornets fans then chanted Smith name during the quarter break.

Smith started the 4th quarter and fans were happy to see him. Lakers also try to rest his starters in preparations of their game against Memphis tomorrow. All Lakers players scored in the game including rookie Vujacic. Vujacic played 5 minutes and scored 4 points. Lakers won this game convincingly though the score won’t tell how bad Hornets played this game. Final score was 97-83.

Some Screenshots from the Game
Mihm grabbed a rebound.
Bryant's quick hand, steal this one and resulted a great dunk on the other end
Most of Davis points came from garbage time, including this great dunk
Not that big, Sasha first ever point in NBA
Vujacic finally score after 4 try.

Memphis Grizzlies (3-1) Will Host Rampaging Los Angeles Lakers (4-1)

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) Nov 10 --Memphis Grizzlies will try to stop Los Angeles Lakers winning streak and make own for themselves. Both team are playing back to back games. Lakers are on a 2 game winning streak and try to add Grizzlies to their victim. Hawks and Hornets saw how capable this new Lakers team was. Butler, had his best game as a Lakers against the Hornets. He finished with 22 points and converted onseason-high 10 free-throws.

“I just feel like I can make every shot tonight. But I have to give credit to all my teammates especially Lamar and Kobe for setting me up. I just hope I can continue that tomorrow against the Grizzlies”, Butler Rudy said in a post-game interview.

Meanwhile, Memphis will try to win back to back games. They defeated the Rockets, who still missing the service of T-Mac, but give a good fight last night. Mike miller came off the bench and scored 22 points. Jason Williams led the team in scoring and assists while Gasol have team-high 12 rebounds and 3 blocks a game.

“We need to concentrate on our defense. Lakers now have so many scoring options. They also got deeper and we need 48-minutes of good basketball”, Coach Brown said.

Tonight's Key Matchup:
Lakers’ Bench vs. Grizzlies Bench

Both team are few of the teams who have deep line-up. In this game, the team who can get a lot of help from their bench will have an advantage. Lakers lone-lost against Spurs, saw only 3 players scored for a 7 points total. While in Memphis-Houston game, we saw Mike Miller came of the bench to scored 22 points. If both starters cancel each out, then who ever win in bench production will win.

Memphis got another good game from
Miller off the bench

Both teams started the game very sluggish, maybe tired after last night games. It took about 2 minutes before they scored a basket. They continue to shoot very low as Lakers just shots 32% on the field while Grizzlies shoots 33%.Bryant was only Lakers having a good shooting night as other starters struggle. Butler also nursing 2 personal fouls. Memphis showed a balance scoring with 3 players scored 6 points each. In the process, Memphis held a 4-point advantage going to the next quarter.

If the 1st quarter was a struggle for both teams, the 2nd quarter showed offensive weapon on both side. There were stretches were both teams scored on consecutives possessions including back to back 3’s of Bryant and J-Wil. Lakers were able to tie the ballgame before the halftime break. The scores stood at 47-47.

KEY PLAYER OF THE HALF

Lakers experienced another poor shooting in the 3rd quarter. They shots 25%, thanks to the great defensive adjustment Coach Brown did. J-Wil also broke loose in this quarter scoring 8 points while Wright controlled the rebounds, mostly on offensive side. Lakers now trailed by 9 with 1 quarter left to play.

Lakers then try to make a comeback in this quarter but Memphis did a great job protecting their lead. With 4 minutes left in the game, Grizzlies were looking good leading by 12 points. Bryant then stages a comeback, scoring 6 straight points and few good passes to open teammate. Lakers trailed by 5 with 1:43 left in the game. Coming from a timeout, J-Wil made a 3 pointer to make it an 8 point lead with a 1 ½ minute left. Lakers quickly scored 2 points and forced Memphis to miss a shot. Odom grabbed the rebound goes coast to coast to cut the deficit to 4. They made another stop but in the next possession, Bryant was blocked by Wright. Miller shoots 2 free-throws to make it 6. Lakers then scored the last basket of the game as time expires. Lakers gone short this one, losing 96-92 for their 2nd loss of the season.

Some Screenshots from the Game
Atkins had another bad game, scoring only 4 points after a 1-point game last night
Wells scored only 7, one of this was a great dunk
Bryant shook off Wells for an easy jumpshot.
Butler and Bryant goes for a fastbreak
Wright won player of the game honors by grabbing 16 big rebounds.
