Good luck man.
Who's your sixth man?
Sun May 02, 2010 5:09 am
I'd like for it to be Kyle Lowry, and I have high hopes for this team, I am about to play my first game against the TrailBlazers.

Houston Rockets 108-95 TrailBlazers

Marcus Camby in his new jersey.
The Rockets have lifted off successfully this season as they Blazed a Trail on Brandon Roy's TrailBlazers. The Blazers never exactly had the lead in this game, but they came within one on countless occasions, but the Rockets were able to pull ahead. K-Mart dominated and had 20 points in the first half. Yao Ming dominated the boards, and Aaron Brooks' 26 points sealed a victory at the Rose Garden 108-95. The Blazers didn't go down without a fight though, Roy had 27 points and Marcus Camby went 14 (points) and 16 (boards).

Houston Rockets 108-99 Golden State Warriors

In a very tough game for the Rockets, they took the lead late in the 4th quarter for the first time since the 1st quarter. Kevin Martin scored 41 points and went 13/14 from the line. Yao and Andris Biedrins battled on the boards and had 15 and 14 boards respectively. Monta Ellis was a pain for the Rockets defense and he scored 32 points.

Sounds like a tough one, but you came out with the win when it's all said and done. You're certainly doing a good job of getting to the line.

Thanks, it was certainly fun controlling K-Mart.

Well that's been my specialty in this game, but sometimes the refs are stubborn in calling fouls.
Sun May 02, 2010 2:14 pm
That's what impresses me, the calls tend to favour the CPU especially post-patch, so it's not always an easy feat drawing that many shooting fouls.
Sun May 02, 2010 2:20 pm
Surprisingly in my first two games, I actually had more FT attempts than the CPU.

I like that they added Kevin Martin. I see he already has had a couple of great games for you

This dynasty looks good so far. Houston have an interesting looking team that could really go any direction you want it to. Good luck

Nice to see a Rockets story. With this line-up all healthy, you can make some serious noise in the West.

Yeah, it's fun setting a screen for him, then stepping in the paint to get to the foul line.

Thanks, I want this dynasty to take Yao to his first ring.

I was wanting to see a Rockets dynasty on here, but nobody had it, so I just started one myself. I hope to make the loudest noise in the West.

Looks pretty solid so far.

The Rockets are a very underrated team when healthy.

Houston Rockets 112- Portland TrailBlazers 99

Yao Ming didn't enjoy as many minutes, in fact he fouled out in the 4th.Box Scores-

The Rockets headed back home after a two-game roadtrip and had another frustrating game. The Blazers got ahead by double digits in the 2nd, mainly due to the Rockets playing $1 defense (and what I thought were some paid referees), Brandon Roy was dunking at will. In the 3rd though, they stepped up the defense and limited the Blazers to 14 points. In the 4th, the Rockets got ahead by as many as 17, but the Blazers went on a 10-2 run, and had the game gone on a few minutes longer, the Blazers would've caught up. The bench had a good game, Shane Battier scored 14 points, and Mike Harris scored 10, while Kyle Lowry only scored 5, he shared the ball with 7 assists. K-Mart had a quiet night concerning free throws, but Aaron Brooks, like Lowry, shared the ball too. Despite Yao going 4 and 5, and fouling out, the Rockets won their first home game of the season 112-99.

Scola had an explosive night with 12 points.

Even the spectators could've played better defense.Top Scorers:

Yeah, I just hope injuries aren't a factor next season (in real life) so they can cause some havoc in the West.

Simple but effective layout. Good luck next games!

Sounds like that last one was frustrating even though you won, nice job picking up the W regardless.
Mon May 03, 2010 5:45 pm
That backcourt looks pretty small. Who's going to guard players like Kobe, Lebron, Wade, or Durant.
Mon May 03, 2010 6:26 pm
Kevin Martin is 6'7" and Shane Battier is available off the bench.

It takes me a while to finish each post, so I can't go anymore complicated than this.

Thanks, I just hope my next game against the Jazz isn't frustrating. I've always had trouble against them.

Only Aaron Brooks and Kyle Lowry are my small players, everyone else is taller than 6"5".

Rockets play a tune of victory at the Energy Solutions Arena
[3-0]Houston Rockets 107-Utah Jazz 95[1-1]

Jeffries is really known for his defense, and he showed Boozer that.
The Houston Rockets headed to Salt Lake City to extend their winning streak. The Rockets started with a bad 1st quarter, but got things going. They started the 2nd quarter on a 9-0 run, and the Jazz just couldn't play defense. Nobody was really much of a pain for the Rockets, but Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur got double-doubles going 18 and 16, and 26 and 11 respectively. Yao, however, had a game high 18 boards, and 15 points to go with that. K-Mart and Aaron Brooks had good games too, with 32 and 22 points respectively. Now the Rockets head back home to Houston to face the Lakers. One team's 4 game winning streak will end there. How much have the Rockets improved? Find out when they play the Lakers.
