Urgently Needed Art (Conversions)

As I've mentioned in the Beta Roster thread, we are really getting close to being able to put out a proper release. It will still have issues with headbands and remain a work in progress but it'll certainly be a step up from the betas and much better than having no updates for 06 at all.

To get NBA Live PC out as soon as possible - perhaps even within the week - we urgently need some art files though. If you can spare some time to lend a hand, it would be greatly appreciated. The good news is a lot of the art is available but needs to be converted to work properly with 06. There aren't any shape files to convert here either as it's just courts and jerseys, so if a couple of you could help me out here I'll do my best to get everything compiled and v1.0 out as soon as we've got everything together.

Conversions of the default files from 07/08 would be fine, so long as they're accurate for this season. If you're converting a community made patch however, please make sure you're either the author or have the permission of the author.

Here's what we need:

If we can get a rush on converting those files/updates from 07/08 so that they work properly with 06, it'll really speed things up so if you can lend a hand, please do.

As far as priority within those lists is concerned, jerseys are a priority over courts and the courts for the Thunder, Hawks and Bucks are the ones (I believe) with the most significant changes; certainly the Thunder court before anything else.

Andrew, what about courts made by Mshooter24 and bryan055? Are they not compatible with your Live 06? As some of you know, I play Live 2005, and all of these courts (with only one exception - Bucks court - the logo near the basket is pink, but I'm using the old one, made by Lagoa) works perfectly fine...

I'll have to give them another shot and Jao did send me some instructions on getting 07/08 courts to work in 06 which I'll be fooling around with but if someone with more knowledge of graphics than me can help out with some conversions so that they work properly with no missing textures then so much the better. But as I said, the jerseys are really the priority though.

There's also a couple of number related issues with the Hornets and Sixers jerseys (alignment for the Sixers jerseys and a bit of a glitch with any numbers in the 30s for the Hornets jerseys). If we could get those polished up that'd be great but they're admittedly pretty minor so it's not a big deal.

oh yeah...i fixed the number problem on the hornets jersey way back...i mustve sent you the wrong one....will look for the other later.. =)

Of course i still have saved the sgsm/uniforms folder from live 06 I do prefer live 06's jersey format as you get to really notice the fine details.

In fact in light of that, I'm currently planning on updating the 06 rosters (along with 07 and 08) through next year regardless of what happens with NBA Live '10 as far as a PC release is concerned. But in any case, the current focus is getting something out now that people can play in the near future and through the offseason.

I've updated the list again, all we need now jersey-wise are the 2009 East and West All-Star jerseys. Court conversions are still needed.

Actually, if there are any updated jerseys for any of the teams available including the ones that have just been crossed off feel free to send them along, I'm certainly willing to used any updated/enhanced versions if they're available but what we have now should have the jerseys pretty much covered. If we can get a number fix for the Sixers home, away and alternate jerseys (and once fumanchu digs up the number fix for the Hornets jerseys) then all we need are the All-Star jerseys and we're set in that regard.

I'll keep everyone posted as the package continues to come together.

I can't really say, I want to get it out as soon as possible and if we could get all the art together within the next few days it's probably not unfeasible to get something out this week, but the key issue there is getting the art together and everything working properly. Right now we're still missing a bit of art, which is what this thread is all about but we've been able to make a lot of progress in the last 24 hours alone so here's hoping.

Andrew Luv your work by the way , I wanted to know when you release your new roster for the 2006 project can you leave all the old players on the roster even though they not playing anymore. Also would it be better to reload 2006 before uploading the new project. The other thing is how is the Art conversions coming along, what is still needed since your last request.
