hey guys, I bought the game. the fact that I have nvidia geforce 6600 didn't bothered me, but I realised that something is wrong. The game starts but then something wierd happens in the menu. Colorful, mostly pink, textures appear in the background and when I'm trying to run the match the game crashes to windows. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING? I'm willing to buy new card if necessary. Apart from the card I have AMD Barton 2500+ 1,83 GHz, 1GB of RAM. Could this be CPU's fault? THANKS

@suirad
hmm i cant seem to fully understand your prob but try to install windows xp it might work now

@feedtheworld

minimum specs are already posted in the first page please do take a look there

@przemas71

it could be the cpu's fault but i do doubt that there is something wrong with your video card try to download the latest drivers for that video card and try to see if it now works and btw your video card hit the minimum required vc

suirad, you need to plug a pci-express power cable into your videocard. You should have a manual that came with it. Did you install it yourself?

Check out this page to see what they look like if you aren't sure.

No wonder EA never brought a 360 port of live to PC, really you only have your selfs to blame. Will 2k run on my 6100 or my ati 9550? These are riduclus questions!!

Are PC basketball gamers that uniformed of PC hardware? Hardware is cheap if u know where to sorce, U can get a decent vid card say a 8800gt for about $120 australian dollars and something llike a Am2 6000+ for about $100 aussie.

Plz PC gamers use some common sense if u have hardware that is less powewrful than a ps2 you not gonna run it. If I was working for 2k Id be pulling my hair out at some of you guys comments.

Now where can I buy this in AUSTRALIA is it on steam yet!? (dont have steam installed at the moment)

tekNique, sorry if we were not as bright as you are.

anyway, Hi guys.I am planning to build a new gaming rig.I just want to ask if I can run the game in ultra high settings with the following specs?

AMD Athlon64 x2 6000+ Socket AM2
2GB PC6400 DDR2 800
GeForce9600GT 512MB DDR3 256bit
Windows XP SP2
Resolution is 1280 x 800

I posted this concern because Im a lil bit worried of some complains about the game having problems with amd processors. and i really want to play the game (in maxed settings) smoothly, otherwise, please suggest what parts should I change?. Please enlighten me!

Thank you guys..

Don’t you love the chase? Sometimes it doesn’t work out; those are the stakes. But when it does work out, it’s like having that first cigarette: your head gets all dizzy, your heart pounds, your knees go weak. Remember that?

@domidomdomz

yeah it will work fine in an ultra high settings but i think you need to change your processor since there have been some problems with the amd users...try intel dual core or intel core 2 quad

suirad, you do not have to open your power supply, i should come with a pci-express power connector.

suirad, here's another link that could be of some help.

http://www.wikihow.com/Connect-A-Video- ... -Correctly

The cable should come from your power supply, just like all the other power cables that connect to your motherboard, hard drive and dvd-rom drives.

In many cases, adapters may be required if your power supply does not have enough connectors, or if it does not have PCI-Express connectors. You may wish to consider purchasing a Molex Y-Adapter (Turns one standard Molex into two) or a PCI-Express Adapter (Turns two standard Molex into one PCI-Express) rather than purchasing a new Power Supply.
